The restaurant is located north of Shidan Street, east along the road from Fujimori. The nearest stations are Keihan Fujimori Station or the Shinkasunishiuramachi bus stop. I don't usually eat Jiro-style ramen, but it comes in handy when I want a hearty meal. This was my second attempt at Jiro-style ramen, with my last experience being a bit fuzzy as it was during the Heisei era after a night of drinking. I remember not getting the extra large portion. Today, I ordered the ramen (300g) at Ryunosakura, aiming to make it a Mongolian fusion style, but unfortunately, fusion was not available. With the 300g portion, I estimated it to be easier than a regular CoCo Ichibanya curry, so I ordered extra vegetables, less oil, and normal garlic. The toppings were confirmed by the chef before serving. The ramen was served with a generous amount of vegetables, a bit of oil, garlic cloves, and a bowl overflowing with soup. The boiled bean sprouts and cabbage were soft and plentiful, so I added some salt and pepper provided on the table. The oil was not overwhelming, and the garlic provided a strong kick. For garlic lovers, I recommend adding extra garlic. As I dug into the vegetables, I found a huge piece of pork with the skin on, which was tender and easy to shred with chopsticks. The ramen also came with a half-boiled egg. The noodles were thick, flat noodles with a chewy texture similar to Sano ramen. They had a strong bite to them. The soup was a mild blend of pork bone and soy sauce, with the sweetness of the vegetables and the richness of the pork creating a harmonious flavor. The seasoning was slightly strong, making the soup delicious. However, with the mountain of vegetables and noodles, the overall flavor was a bit diluted. I felt a bit overwhelmed by the amount of liquid in the vegetables while eating, and although I finished the noodles, I had to give up on the soup. I thought about taking the soup home and cooking some Chinese noodles to enjoy another bowl, but I wasn't prepared, so I had to give up on the idea. To fully enjoy the dish, I should have ordered normal vegetables or less noodles. Be cautious when ordering the extra-large portion (+150g). The appearance was wild, but the taste was mild, making for a unique ramen experience.
