At 2:30 on Sunday, I stopped by after a long time as I was nearby. There were fewer options due to the time, but I still chose croissants as my main purchase. There was a sign prohibiting photography inside the store, but when I asked, they kindly allowed me to take a photo of the ikebana. I feel happy all the way home after buying delicious bread. With the bread in hand, I headed happily to the Kyocera Museum of Art.

I decided to visit a popular bakery known for their hard breads. I arrived a little after 3pm, so there weren't many options left. I chose a bread that seemed like it would appeal to fans of hard bread. Personally, I prefer to pick out my own bread using tongs at a bakery. I wasn't too pleased to see signs prohibiting taking photos inside the store. Also, it would be nice if they accepted QR code payments even though it's a small shop. And it would be better if they didn't charge for bags at a bakery. Just my personal opinion. The taste was average for the price.

I visited this bakery after seeing it on SNS. The croissant was very crispy with a strong buttery aroma, slightly fragrant and delicious. The escargot had a crispy texture, a slightly restrained sweetness, and was tasty. It was satisfying in size as well. The curry bread had plenty of curry inside, slightly spicy and delicious, while the salt butter French toast had a caramelized surface and was slightly sweet but tasty. The bread was fluffy and chewy, with a good wheat aroma. The spinach focaccia was a hard, firm bread, tasty but the seasoning was okay. The quiche had a strong broccoli flavor and was simply delicious. The BLT sandwich was tasty, with soft and delicious sandwich bread. Particularly the quiche and sandwich seemed a bit pricey. The chocolate baguette had a firm crust and was tasty, but the chocolate was just a bar sandwiched in it. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was getting crowded. The style was where the staff take items from the showcase, but the number of staff and customers did not match, leading to inefficiency with long waiting times and difficulty in placing orders. Despite the delicious food, the prices were somewhat high, and there were some items that felt overpriced. However, the variety of options in such a small shop was good, and I would like to try more items if I have the chance.

This is a bakery in Kyoto that I found on Instagram and wanted to visit! I bought some bread with chestnut and butter cream. Both were really delicious!! The chestnut and fig bread was amazing! The chestnut one had a soft and chewy bread with plenty of sweet bean paste and thick slices of butter, which was a perfect mix of sweet and salty flavors. The fig one had a crispy and moist doughnut-like bread with homemade custard that was rich and just to my liking! The fresh figs paired perfectly with it. I would love to try the other bread they offer as well!

I visited before noon. It seemed to be a popular shop as female customers kept coming in one after another. The space was small and a bit cramped. It's not a self-serve type, you have to have the staff get the items for you. I thought it was a trendy sandwich shop, but the sandwich was just delicious. Personally, I found the shiso in the sandwich to be a bit distracting. The curry bread was not spicy, so even children can eat it safely. Overall, it's a bit pricey.

I visited the restaurant on Saturday morning around 8:10. I ordered the following items:
- Seasonal vegetable curry bread for 334 yen
- Homemade marinated eggplant croissant for 442 yen
- Chocolat banana for 378 yen
The chocolat banana was quite sweet due to the chocolate, so it felt a bit too sweet.

I heard about this bakery from cafe lovers and decided to try it out. The cozy interior was filled with a variety of delicious bread, sandwiches, and pastries. I asked the staff for recommendations and bought three items to enjoy at home. The shop's specialty, the "Escargot," caught my eye with its unique spiral shape. I tried the most basic one, the Canadian Organic Maple Sugar Escargot, which was priced at 345 yen. The outer layer was crispy while the inside was moist, and the flavor of wheat and maple sugar spread in my mouth as I chewed. It was delicious. I also tried the Sweet Summer White Chocolate Osamando, priced at 378 yen. The croissant dough was crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and the sweet summer jam had a rich flavor. Despite the small amount, the sweetness of the summer jam spread throughout. Lastly, I tried the Panettone Niswas, priced at 410 yen, which was filled with tomatoes, bacon, eggs, olives, and snap peas. The addition of olives gave it a sophisticated flavor. Personally, I found the two sweet pastries to be exceptional, and I would love to try the croissant varieties next time, as well as all the different types of Escargot.

I stopped by just after noon before lunch. The bakery was divided by acrylic boards, and you had to ask for the bread you wanted. Each bread had its own unique touch and was very appealing. The prices were a bit high, but you couldn't go wrong with any choice. The croissant, in particular, was excellent. Lately, there have been a lot of great croissants, which makes me happy.

There is a shop in Fushimi that makes you want to visit it, and I stopped by one of them after a long time. The shop sells bread face-to-face with the bread lined up tightly behind a plastic sheet. The salted butter French baguette is sliced and looks fluffy. The smell of butter is rich, but it leaves a refreshing aftertaste. The smoked salmon croissant sandwich is filled with olives and boiled eggs. The croissant is crispy, and the smell of butter is also strong. I think they use butter from Hokkaido. I believe that the croissants here are among the best in the city. The baked curry bread is filled with plenty of pumpkin and eggplant, and the curry is spicy and high-quality vegetables. There are no images, but the raspberry almond croissant has a thin layer of raspberries between the dough, with a strong acidity. This is also amazing. Personally, I think this shop is not inferior to the top 100 shops. They use good ingredients, and the vegetables are also sourced from Ohara. If you look it up on Google, there are opinions about the price. It might be surprising compared to shops in Fushimi. However, if you are a bread lover, I think it's worth going out of your way to visit this shop.

I got off at Keihan Tanbabashi Station for some errands. I stopped by a bakery that my friend recommended as delicious. They had a lot of hard bread, and many of them had rye in them. I bought a cream puff, focaccia (plain), and salt bread because I had a lot of things to carry. Even though I bought them for lunch and ate them at night after returning home, all three were incredibly delicious. They were among the best bread I have ever eaten. I felt like the quality was slightly cheaper for the price, but others may not feel the same. I would like to buy these three again, plus other bread, and enjoy them. **Additional note: I visited Tanbabashi again in August 2021 and stopped by around noon. They had banana cake (pound cake), so I bought it. Unfortunately, the focaccia was already sold out. A slice of banana (pound) cake was priced as high as buying a luxury cake at a cake shop. It was quite a price to hesitate over, but I think it must be because of the time and effort put into making it. It had a rich flavor with a hint of spice. The lean bread items honestly felt average. I wonder if there is a difference in taste depending on the bread or the day. Yeast is alive and well, isn't it...?

I found a bakery on Instagram, so I decided to go buy some.
- Bamboo Shoot Curry Bread: The texture was great and it was delicious just as I imagined.
- Cream Bread: The bread was fragrant and the cream was rich.
- Yomogi Red Bean Bread: The yomogi flavor was nice and the red bean filling was not too sweet.
- Mountain-shaped Loaf: It was fluffy, fragrant, and delicious. I will definitely go back to try their sandwiches next time.

It was a small and stylish shop. The interior was such that only one group could enter at a time. It was a weekday lunchtime, but there were three groups waiting. It cost about 1700 yen for 5 items, which seemed a bit expensive. All the bread had a mild taste, which was slightly different from my preference.

I happened to pass by a small shop on my way to work. I decided to come back after work to buy lunch, and when I returned, there were 2-3 groups of people waiting outside the shop. It was the shop's 1st anniversary, so many regular customers were visiting. I thought the shop would have a lot of anpan based on its name, but when I finally entered, there were quite a variety of bread lined up. Mainly hard bread, but they also had anpan. It's nice to have a bakery that sells a lot of hard bread like this nearby. For lunch, I bought a baguette filled with lamb sausage and plenty of vegetables. I also added a regular baguette. The lamb was delicious, with a juicy umami flavor as I chewed. I would like to try other varieties at this shop.

The UNJOUR bakery near Tanbabashi Station is a delightful place with delicious bread that really lifts your spirits. The shop has a face-to-face sales style, and they explain the various breads with great attention to detail, making you feel their passion. My expectations were high, but the taste did not disappoint. Today, I bought a sandwich with fried sardines and a curry bread for breakfast, and I regret not buying one more... I will definitely visit again. Having a delicious bakery nearby is truly a blessing.

I decided to stop by once and visited around 11 o'clock. There were two other customers already there, leisurely shopping. I heard that the ham sandwich is famous at this place, although there was no sign mentioning it. The sandwich was filled with lots of tomatoes and lettuce, and the bread had a rosemary flavor. It was quite big and cost around 614 yen. I tried the spare rib tomato stew sandwich, which was delicious. I bought two sandwiches for 1015 yen, which is a bit pricey.

I didn't come from far away, so I stopped by while biking around. I was worried about parking because it's narrow if I come by car. It was around 2 pm on a Friday, and there were still plenty of items available. I thought there would be a lot of hard bread, but it wasn't like that. I bought 5 types of bread, but they weren't so good that I want to buy them again. It was a bit disappointing. It cost 1425 yen for 5 items. Next time, I would like to try a different type of bread.

Recently, I often see this place on SNS. They even had a TV interview before becoming popular. The trend of turning restaurants into donut shops is progressing in Kyoto, but this place is located near Tanbabashi Station and has a very welcoming atmosphere. There is a wide display space at the storefront, with detailed descriptions for each product, making it easy to understand. I wanted to try the sandwich made with Kawakita's ham, but unfortunately, it was sold out. The ingredients used in the products are included in the product name, such as Gruyere cheese, Miyama honey, and roasted walnuts. Just reading it makes it sound delicious! The rye bread is fragrant, and when you chew it, the flavor comes out. The coating of honey and walnuts on the surface is fragrant. The chicken curry with Okinawan bell peppers was amazing. The bell peppers were incredibly thick. The homemade curry paired perfectly with them. The tartine was also incredible. The cinnamon raisin donut was also added for something sweet. The surface was crispy, and the inside was chewy. They use good quality cinnamon. The raisins added a nice touch and kept it from being too sweet. This bakery is a minority in this area, focusing on high-value-added bread. They are mainly known for their hard bread, and they may be compared to another shop near Fujinomori Station. They even have an espresso machine in the store, so I have high expectations. The prices are a bit high, but the quality of ingredients used made it worth it when I tried them!

I usually don't pass by this street, but happened to do so this time. I didn't notice on the way there, but on the way back, I did. I debated whether to buy something, but I had just eaten lunch and didn't feel hungry, plus I had only about 500 yen left in my wallet due to other expenses, so I gave up. When I checked the comments on a certain map later, I realized that it was quite expensive, so I thought "I'm glad I didn't go in." Therefore, I visited the next day around 10:30. The bread was mostly available, but the shelves were still a bit empty, giving the impression that they weren't fully stocked. It's more of a hard-type bread shop in this area. They must be using good ingredients, but the curry bread was over 300 yen, and the sandwich next to the register was 400 yen! The prices are mostly in the 200 yen range, and compared to other shops, they seem slightly smaller. Considering the location, it's quite expensive! The taste is good compared to nearby bakeries. It's nice to have more options for bread shops. Also, they had an espresso machine, so maybe they offer eat-in service? Personally, I think bread and soba are not cost-effective, so if you buy three 200-yen breads, it's about 700 yen, which makes it more worthwhile to eat at Daikoku Ramen.

Visited the store around 11:20 am on March 4, 2023. There were 3 customers ahead of me. They have a great selection of hard bread sandwiches, including hot dogs, curry with cabbage, and a delicious chicken curry bun with a firm and chewy texture. The chicken curry is authentic and tasty. The chestnut paste and butter, as well as the red bean paste, are delicious. The hard bread is chewy and delicious. Next time, I plan to try the cinnamon roll, French toast, and almond croissant.

Saturday mornings are the best time to indulge in the bread here. It's a bit pricey, but personally, I think it's worth the price. The ingredients are carefully selected, the balance is just right, and having a bakery like this nearby is truly a blessing. My excitement goes up every time I visit.
