A traditional shop offering a wide range of wagashi, western-style sweets, and fresh sweets. They have affordable options for daily consumption as well as gifts. The individually wrapped baked goods are popular, and the mini cupcakes and financiers I purchased were delicious despite their small size. I regret not buying more to keep on hand.

I bought a roll cake for the first time in a while! I chose a fruit roll cake. It is rolled with fruits such as kiwi and strawberries along with whipped cream. There is a good balance with plenty of fruits and whipped cream. The whipped cream is not too sweet, so you can taste the sweetness and sourness of the fruits. If you are looking for sweetness, this cream is not that sweet.

I received a gift review. It's a local sweet from a nice place. The paper bag I received it in says "Seasonal flavors, gently and happily, brings joy and satisfaction to the mouth and heart." It's called "Kantsuki" and it's not traditional Japanese sweets, it's actually a pastry with chocolate filling. Surprising, right? It has a crispy outer layer and a moist inside. Thank you for the delicious treat!

When I tried to post on Tabelog, I was surprised to find that the restaurant was not registered yet, even though it is quite well-known locally. So, I quickly registered the restaurant. The interior is divided about half and half between Japanese and Western sweets. (No eating or drinking allowed inside the store.) Originally, it is a Japanese sweets shop known for its chirimen dango. The cakes range from 300 to 600 yen, but there wasn't anything particularly special about them. I bought a few cakes and a fruit roll. The difference in taste between the cakes was quite noticeable. There was also a limited-time banana-filled caramel roll, but this time I bought their classic fruit roll (about 1260 yen). The taste was decent, not bad.

The product featured in this post, dated July 3, 2020, is manufactured by Kazemido (2286 Ishikawa, Yosano-cho, Kyoto). Since this manufacturer was not registered in the food log, we have listed it under the understanding that it is sold by a nearby store. This product was a gift from a neighbor. It is a specialty of Tango, reportedly purchased by the Empress. This chirimen yokan (silk-strain sweet bean jelly) showcases an elegant charm with its use of chirimen (dried young sardines) and natural flavors, exuding a refined and subtly sweet taste. The flavor is graceful and sophisticated. This product would be suitable for tea ceremonies and the like. Please note that I did not purchase this product myself, so I cannot confirm if it is actually sold at this store. Please contact them directly for verification. Thank you for the meal.
