* On the night of August 15, 2010, I visited the restaurant "Bibimbap Haus" in front of the Kinkaku-ji Temple for the third time. This time, I tried the stone pot bibimbap for 830 yen, oxtail soup for 1000 yen, yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) for 1000 yen, Kyoto eggplant jeon for 600 yen, and kakuteki (pickled daikon with kimchi) for 200 yen. The stone pot bibimbap had a delicious crispy rice crust. The oxtail soup was rich and hearty. The yukhoe was tasty, and the Kyoto eggplant jeon was a unique dish that can only be enjoyed in Kyoto. The kakuteki was like a kimchi-marinated daikon, a great side dish. No matter how many times you visit, you can enjoy a variety of dishes. Highly recommended.
* On the night of August 11, 2010, I revisited "Bibimbap Haus" in Kyoto after staying at a weekly apartment. It had been a year since my last visit, but the owner remembered me, which made me very happy. This time, I tried the tofu steak for 450 yen, cold noodles with watermelon in the summer for 950 yen, and kimchi jeon for 600 yen. These dishes were perfect for the summer season. There was also a group of foreigners ordering the cold noodles, creating an international atmosphere unique to Kyoto. The food was delicious, and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommended.
* In August 2009, I lived in a weekly apartment in Kyoto for three weeks, and this restaurant, "Bibimbap Haus", was located next to it. The owner, who has been in Japan for 30 years, was very friendly. I ordered the "Kyoto eggplant jeon" and "kimchi", which were both incredibly delicious. There are many other dishes to choose from, so it's recommended to go with a group to try a variety of Korean dishes. It would be great to have a conversation with the owner and exchange cultural experiences.
