I forgot to take a photo of the bagels. I saw the cute shop and decided to pop in. There was a limit of 3 customers at a time in the small shop. I bought 6 bagels and heated them up at home. They were all delicious and filling. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely go back to buy more.

I wanted to visit this shop. I lined up 30 minutes before opening. There is a limit on the number of people inside, with 3 people entering at a time. You can take photos inside the shop if you ask the staff for permission. They have a variety of sweets and side dishes. I bought a chewy and soft bagel that I really liked. The exterior of the shop is cute, with a large bagel hanging outside.

In Uji City, there is a very popular bagel shop. When you walk in, you will see a wide variety of bagels lined up! There are strawberry sandwiches with a hint of black tea, blueberry cream cheese & banana, mixed nuts and maple cream cheese, dessert sandwiches, and more. My favorite is the nut sandwich! The combination of various nuts and maple cream cheese is excellent. The sweet and savory bagels were also delicious! They have a chewy and soft texture, but all of them are easy to eat. I'm glad I got to visit this bagel shop that I wanted to try out.

Bagel specialty shop! I love bagels and have visited a few times. Unfortunately, this time there weren't many options available, but usually they have a wide variety and I have trouble deciding which one to buy. It's a popular shop, so they often sell out of bagels.

I've been interested in this bagel specialty shop since it opened, and I've tried to visit multiple times, but the bagels were always sold out! The bagel sign is cute. When I arrived right at 11 am, there was already a line. I was about 8th in line. Only 3 people are allowed in at a time, so I waited. Even outside the shop, the smell was amazing. This time, I chose sandwich options. [Egg and Black Olive] for 350 yen. The egg sandwich had a lot of yolk, with black olives inside. A sophisticated egg sandwich! The dough was soft and had a refreshing oiliness, like margarine. It felt light for using butter. [Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese] for 460 yen. Delicious! The combination of cheese and salmon is strong, and the pickled onions add a nice touch. The blue olives were a nice addition. The clear cheese was plentiful! [Mixed Nuts and Maple Cream Cheese] for 390 yen. This was amazing! The nuts were plentiful, fragrant, and sweet, with a salty cream cheese. This combination was the best. The texture was crunchy nuts, creamy cheese, and soft bagel. This was the most delicious of what I ate this time. [Roasted Chestnut An Butter] for 190 yen. The shape was like a coppe pan with the cute shop logo. The dough was soft, like a bagel. The light sweet bean paste turned out to be chestnut paste, with rich butter. Addictive! A satisfying experience at this popular shop! My favorite was the nuts and maple cream cheese!

JR Uji Station is about a 5-minute walk away. Keihan Uji Station is about a 7-minute walk away. Located in Ujihashi-dori Shotengai, this is a bagel specialty shop. The shop, which used to run a bakery in Mimuroto, has relocated to Ujihashi-dori Shotengai and opened its doors. They use only carefully selected wheat to pursue the elasticity of the dough and the rich aroma of the wheat. The regular bagels are priced in the 200 yen range, while bagel sandwiches range from 400 yen. This time, I chose the smoked salmon and cream cheese, as well as the light sandwich with vegetables and basil chicken, and a cute palm-sized mini loaf of bread. I enjoyed the firm and chewy texture of the bagel sandwich. Thank you for the meal.

After enjoying a delicious steak at the butcher shop Kurokawa Ujihonten, I made my way to Kuenel no Tsuzuki once again! I arrived around 11:30 am, and despite it being a weekday, the place was still bustling with customers. After waiting in line for about 5 minutes, I finally got inside the popular bakery. This time, I purchased: - Apple Caramel x2 for 230 yen each - Cocoa Valencia Cream Cheese for 290 yen - Chocolate Orange for 210 yen - Whole Wheat (Prosciutto & Apricot) for 260 yen *All prices include tax The Apple Caramel was a seasonal item and despite a big hole in the bagel, it was delicious. The Apple flavors were delightful. The Cocoa Valencia Cream Cheese had a strong orange peel taste and was a bit more adult-oriented. The Chocolate Orange was tasty with a good balance of flavors. The Whole Wheat with Prosciutto & Apricot had a nice aroma and the saltiness of the prosciutto paired well with the whole wheat. Overall, I felt that this visit to Kuenel no Tsuzuki was a bit different from my usual experiences, but I hope that the next time I visit, the bakery will return to its usual deliciousness.

On December 1, 2022, the "Uji Shop Support Coupon" went on sale! Last year, there were a lot of unsold coupons, and the individual purchase limit was raised at some point, I think? This year, on December 3, we received a LINE notification that the coupons were sold out! So, we headed to the Uji Station area to use the coupons! We parked at the parking lot in front of JR Uji Station (30 minutes for 100 yen) and went to Uji Hashidori Shotengai. Our first stop was "Kunel no Tsuzuki"! We arrived around 11:15, and there was already a line despite the rainy weather. We bought: Apple Caramel, Double Chocolate Hazelnut, Yuzu and Uji Matcha Cream Cheese, Thick-cut Bacon Honey Mustard, Black Pepper Cheese, Pumpkin and Raisin Walnut. The Apple Caramel was delicious with a subtle sweetness, the Double Chocolate Hazelnut was great when reheated, the Yuzu and Uji Matcha Cream Cheese was okay but I prefer plain bagels with Yuzu, the Thick-cut Bacon Honey Mustard had a good balance of flavors, the Black Pepper Cheese was very peppery, and the Pumpkin and Raisin Walnut was good but the description was hidden by the bagel.

After enjoying delicious soba at "Shubaku," we crossed the Asagiri Bridge over the Uji River and made our way to the Ujihashi Street Shopping District! Our destination was the shop "Kuuneru no Tsuzuki," where we used the "Support Uji Shops Coupon" to buy some more delicious bagels to take home! When we arrived at the shop at exactly 1:00 PM, there was no line, and we were able to enter right away, but... Oh no! Did we arrive too late? There were hardly any bagels left! We purchased the following items: [Refrigerated items] - Fruit Sandwich (mix of 4 types) 450 yen (for me) - Mix of nuts and honey cream cheese 390 yen (for my friend) [Room temperature items] - Pumpkin and cream cheese x2 320 yen each All prices include tax. The Fruit Sandwich (mix of 4 types) had kiwi, persimmon, banana, and pink grapefruit. The bagel was plain and the mascarpone cream was delicious! The Mix of nuts and honey cream cheese had walnuts, almonds, cashews, pecans, honey (lemon), and black pepper. It was savory and flavorful, perfect with wine. The Pumpkin and cream cheese bagel had Hokkaido pumpkin kneaded into the dough with cream cheese. It was a gentle and tasty bagel. Despite the limited selection, Kuuneru's bagels were all delicious. Next time, we'll make sure to arrive earlier in the morning!

Today was a walking day in Uji! Walking allows you to enjoy views that you wouldn't normally see when driving, which is nice! The goal this time was to visit "Kuuneru no Tsuzuki" after a long time. I wanted to enjoy some delicious bagels outside, so I came here! We arrived at the shop just before 12 o'clock on a Saturday, and luckily, there was no line, so we were able to enter right away! I met A-chan's girlfriend for the first time in a while! I was wondering what souvenir to get for her. After much thought, I decided to go with bagels from "Kunel no tsuzuki"! So, the day before we were supposed to meet, I visited the shop. I wanted to arrive at the opening time of 11:00 to secure a good spot, but I left home a bit late and had trouble finding a convenient parking spot, so I missed it! I arrived at the shop at 11:17 and there was already a line! I quickly joined the back of the line. Even though it was before lunchtime on a weekday, the place was really popular! Luckily, I arrived early! After waiting for about 10 minutes, I finally entered the shop. I picked out a bagel for A-chan's girlfriend as a gift and for myself, I chose the "Bagel Sandwich" that caught my eye last time! The one I purchased this time was: Pork Pastrami with Vegetables and Cheese for 380 yen. The bagel was whole wheat, and it was filled with spicy mayonnaise, sunny lettuce, tomato, pork pastrami, cheddar cheese, and margarine. It was quite messy to eat because of its volume, but the flavors were well-balanced. The shop had some rules like a maximum of 3 people allowed inside, a limit of 5 bagels per family, and no talking on the phone while making a purchase. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely visit again to try more bagels and sandwiches!

Uji's bagel shop had a few people lining up on a weekday. I was curious about many flavors, but I had already bought a lot at Tamagiya before, so I only got two here (sorry...). I froze them and then thawed and reheated them. They were so chewy and soft! I love the texture of these bagels! I regret not buying more to freeze... Luckily, it was a weekday, so we were able to buy and go without waiting. After us, more customers kept coming in! Currently, they limit the number of customers to 3 at a time for COVID-19 measures, making it easy to choose without crowding! In addition to the bagels I bought this time, they also had refrigerated items like "Bagel Sandwiches", so I'd like to try them when the timing is right! The bagels were delicious! I visited here around 12:55 on August 26th (Thursday) after quite some time since they moved to this location. I was happy to see the light blue door at the entrance still there! They were selling new bagel sandwiches at the new store, so I decided to try one. I also bought a few of my favorite bagels. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. It was delicious! When I visited Uji, I happened to pass by a cute bagel shop with a sign that caught my eye. Intrigued by the delicious smell of bread inside, I decided to go in even though I wasn't particularly a fan of bagels. I bought a plain bagel and to my surprise, it was incredibly tasty! I couldn't believe how good it was. I later found out that the shop is quite famous and sometimes there are long lines. When I visited on a Saturday around 11:30 am, there was no line and only one group of customers inside, so I quickly bought 3 other types of bagels and 2 bagel sandwiches. An hour later, when I passed by the shop again, there were 6 groups of customers waiting in line. I was lucky to have made my purchase at the right time. The staff at the shop were also very friendly and provided excellent customer service. I would love to visit this bagel shop again when I return to Uji, and I highly recommend it.
