Chanchi's lunch menu is diverse - from pork kimchi to sundubu, everything is delicious. Today I had the samgyetang set, a hot stone pot filled with boiling samgyetang that warms you up inside. It's so satisfying when eaten with multigrain rice. I highly recommend Chanchi for lunch!

After renewing my license, I decided to have lunch at the Yodobashi restaurant area. Influenced by watching Korean dramas, I entered without hesitation. Since it was just past 11:00, I was the first customer. I was unsure of what to order, but ultimately went with the classic pork kimchi sundubu. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The piping hot sundubu looked delicious. They provided a raw egg as a service, which I cracked and added to the pot. It was so hot, there was no way it wouldn't be delicious. And indeed, it was delicious. You can choose the level of spiciness, and I went with medium. It was just right. The raw egg added a creamy texture. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant on a weekday night with a last-minute reservation. I originally wanted to go to a restaurant run by Koreans near Hachijo-guchi, but couldn't get a reservation at either of the two places. So, I ended up at this restaurant. The prices here are slightly higher than the ones at the restaurants near Hachijo-guchi. We mainly had Budae Jjigae and it was delicious.

This was my first visit to the store. It's getting quite chilly, so I ordered the Asari Butter Set with Sundubu (1500 yen tax included). The hot Sundubu helped warm me up. The taste was so-so... it didn't feel very authentic. A raw egg was provided as a free service.

I ordered the one-person Samgyetang set meal for ¥1180 with extra white rice (free large serving). At first, I thought the flavor was a bit weak so I adjusted it with salt, but as I continued eating, I started to feel the richness of the taste and it became just right. I arrived at 3:30 pm and the place was not crowded, so I could eat without worrying too much about manners, which was nice. The chicken was tender enough that I could almost shred it with a spoon. The kimchi was average, nothing special. Among the tenants in Yodobashi, I think this place is a good find. Next time, I want to try the Sundubu.

Located above Yodobashi in front of Kyoto Station. The hall is managed by one person, so everything from guidance, ordering, serving, to payment is congested. It takes time. The food has a stable taste typical of chain restaurants. The set meal includes kimchi stew, mixed grain rice, and three side dishes, plus a free raw egg. It was delicious. I ordered a single serving of Samgyetang for lunch. It was served in a large iron pot, boiling hot and looked very promising. Since it was a single serving, I got one piece of chicken wing. I first sprinkled the included chili salt on the wing and tasted it. It was delicious, but the soup seemed a bit lacking in depth. It was not as tender as I expected. Although there weren't many ingredients in the soup, the flavor was good and I ended up finishing it all. It was nice to be able to have Samgyetang for 1160 yen.

I visited around 8:00 pm on a regular day. I was seated right away. I sat at the counter, which had a wide table and chairs with legs that touched the floor, making it comfortable. - Beef yakiniku set meal for 1350 yen - The meat was a bit tough, but the portion was sufficient and satisfying. The rice looked like a small amount at first glance, but there was actually a good amount. I think it was because it was packed tightly in a bowl that was more cylindrical in shape than conical. - The soup was light and seemed suitable for someone who is sick, but it paired exceptionally well with the dish. ★

Thursday 18:30, ChanChi Kyoto store at Yodobashi Camera 6th floor. I saw it on my way back from the bookstore and felt like having Sundubu, so I stopped by. I ordered the Pork Kimchi set for 1,390 yen, which includes Sundubu (Pork Kimchi), Namul, and healthy black rice with a raw egg (free). There are 9 types of Sundubu to choose from, but I went with the classic Pork Kimchi. You can also order dishes like Bibimbap or Samgyetang for one person, which is convenient. There were two groups of two women as other customers. At 18:39, the Sundubu arrived, bubbling like magma. The Namul included broccoli (salted), radish (sour), and lotus root (soy sauce). The dish was packed with vegetables, which was great. The rice was black rice. The Sundubu came with tofu, cabbage kimchi, green onions, and a raw egg (free), making it a well-balanced meal. As I ate, I gradually started sweating from the heat, feeling warm inside. Looking at the menu, I noticed the ChanChi set (2,480 yen) with all-you-can-drink option (900 yen), which seemed like a great deal (for 2 people). The restaurant was quite spacious, with comfortable seating arrangements and not too crowded, making it a hidden gem for dining with someone. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I was in the mood for samgyetang, so I went to this restaurant. The soup felt a bit thin, I was hoping for a rich chicken flavor. I adjusted it by adding the included salt. The chicken was tender and easy to pick up with chopsticks, and it tasted great when dipped in the salt. The portion size was generous. It was very warming. The pickled vegetables were not too spicy or sour, and they were delicious.

I happened to be shopping at Yodobashi and decided to have lunch there! I was torn between ordering Sundubu and Pork Kimchi, but I really wanted to eat Pork Kimchi, so I ordered that! The Pork Kimchi, priced at 940 yen excluding tax, had delicious meat more than I expected! I thought it was cheap for this amount of food. I wore white clothes that day, so I borrowed an apron and thought it was nice for women! Next time, I want to go eat Sundubu for sure!

I visited the restaurant because I was craving Korean food after a long time. This time, I ordered the value set which included salad, sundubu, bulgogi, jeon, and kimbap. I shared everything except the sundubu with my friend. The portions were quite generous and everything was delicious. The sundubu came out last, and because it had a strong flavor, I felt like I wanted some rice with it after all.

I had some business at Yodobashi in Kyoto, so I came here. I have visited a few times before, but this was my first time having lunch. I was planning to order from the lunch menu, but I wanted something hearty, so I ordered the Samgyeopsal and Asari Butter Sundubu (I forgot to take a photo, sadly). The Samgyeopsal comes with unlimited refills for everything except the meat, but I felt hesitant to call the staff multiple times loudly since there was no bell. What really impressed me was the Sundubu. I ordered the spiciest level, but the perfect spiciness combined with the richness of the butter made it the best Sundubu I've had recently. It was so delicious that I regret not taking a photo.

We casually went on a Sunday night, just the two of us. It's located inside the Yodobashi Camera building at Kyoto Station. We had a tofu salad and bulgogi. The tofu salad had just the right firmness in the tofu and the sesame oil added a nice flavor. The vegetables were crunchy and delicious! The bulgogi had small pieces of meat that were easy to eat. The bean sprouts and green onions cooked in a light broth were also tasty! The light broth and the meat's fat made it easy to eat. We enjoyed delicious Korean food in a casual setting. I went to eat authentic Korean food in Kyoto♪ I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in 2 years and we were both starving, so we decided to go to a Korean restaurant on the 6th floor of Yodobashi, since everywhere at Kyoto Station was super crowded. It was not busy at all and we were seated right away. The restaurant had a clean and modern atmosphere, very stylish! I was curious about the restaurant's specialty "Sundubu"... The tofu is made from 100% domestic soybeans and natural brine, and they use a secret "Tategi (miso)" that was created in collaboration with a Sundubu specialty store that has been in Korea for over 100 years! It must be delicious~ I ordered the "Beef Soboro and Korean Rock Seaweed" which is a signature dish on the menu. You can choose between black bean healthy rice and white rice, and I chose the healthy black bean rice which was light and easy to eat compared to white rice! There are 9 levels of spiciness, but I chose the mild one as I'm not good with spicy food. The hot pot was bubbling and it looked so delicious~ It was very red but appetizing! Even though it was mild, it was spicy enough for me to enjoy. The handcrafted sweet and savory beef soboro with Korean rock seaweed was heavenly. The meat juices enhanced the appetite~ The broth from the ingredients and the miso soup harmonized perfectly, creating a rich umami flavor... The only downside was that the staff seemed a bit indifferent... The restaurant was empty but we were seated at a table for two, and when we asked if we could move to a bigger table since we had a lot of belongings, the staff didn't seem happy and just said it was okay without doing anything... Maybe it's normal, but I wished they could have said something more friendly haha. Also, when we asked if we could sit at the back since it was empty, they just said it was not possible... I thought they could have phrased it better haha. But Korean food always makes me crave for more, so next time I feel like having Korean food in Kyoto, I'll definitely go back❤️.
