forever friends
Today's lunch was unplanned. My husband and I were strolling around the city, and we decided to visit this place that caught my husband's eye right next to RUFF, where we bought the financiers our daughter asked for. "Have you checked out this place?" my husband asked. "No, I haven't heard of it, but let's give it a try," I replied. We both agreed and decided to go in. The restaurant was bustling, but we were quickly seated at a terrace table towards the back. It was a warm and sunny day, so we appreciated the outdoor seating for better ventilation. My husband ordered the lunch set with a beer (600 yen), while I opted for the pasta lunch (950 yen) as I thought the set lunch might be too heavy for me. The pasta lunch came with a salad, pasta, and baguette. I chose the eggplant and bacon in tomato sauce. The lunch set (1380 yen) included an appetizer platter, soup, choice of oven-baked pizza or fresh pasta, dessert, and a drink (coffee or tea). My husband chose the Margherita pizza. The food arrived promptly, starting with a cold beer in a stein. We enjoyed the appetizer platter, soup, and salad, although we wished the meatballs and ratatouille were served warm. The pizza and pasta were generously portioned and delicious. The pizza had a chewy crust with plenty of cheese, tomato sauce, and basil. The pasta was al dente and well-coated in tomato sauce. We also had coffee and pound cake for dessert. The staff were friendly and efficient, making our dining experience pleasant. The lunch set was a great deal, offering a lot of food for the price. We left satisfied and noticed a line forming outside as we left. It was a popular spot, and we were glad we stopped by for a meal.
