A candy store on a street in the Yokai Street area. It seems they have been working on "town development" in this Yokai Street area since 2005. This shop is a candy store located on that street. When you peek inside, you can see pieces of Matsukaze, so I went in. Surprisingly, the 100 yen corner is quite well-stocked. (laughs) (See interior photo) I couldn't help but buy several items besides Matsukaze and tried them. The rice crackers on the left side of the third photo are 4 pieces for 250 yen, and the rest are all 100 yen. There are Nanami arare, curry flavor, Sanzenin, and Matsukaze cut ends. Thank you for the meal. (By Kyonatsu Shuusora, 1/6/2023) (2 reviews/3.02)

Near Nakamura Seianjo, there was a shop with glass windows that made it easy to see inside. In front of the shop, there was a monument of a yokai that caught the eye. It seems that this shopping street is connected by the concept of "yokai," as each shop has a different yokai monument placed in front of it, which is quite interesting. From outside the shop, you can see the inside well, and they sell nostalgic snacks like rice crackers and sweet beans in bags. The small bags are 100 yen, medium bags are 200 yen, and large bags are 300 yen, making it affordable and easy to understand. There are many varieties, and it's easy to want everything, so I bought five small bags of snacks for 100 yen each and went to the register. Then the man said, "This one is also delicious," and offered a taste test. It was indeed delicious, so I ended up buying six bags at the register (laughs). I think the snacks are not made here but are purchased in bulk from manufacturers and then packaged and sold here. Among the purchased snacks, I think there are Miyata Seika's chocolate senbei and Komaru Fry, which I saw on the popular YouTuber Kotatsu Han's channel (the two bags in the top left of the purchased items photo). The nori-wrapped arare, wheat flour dough with shrimp, and broken senbei tasted as expected. The Komaru Fry is a snack that is slightly sweet with a small wheat flour dough, fried edamame, and a light sprinkling of salt, making it perfect for beer. The chocolate senbei is a snack with a light and crispy texture of dough covered with chocolate. I tried it and ended up buying more. These bagged snacks are somehow nostalgic and perfect for snacks. If you stop by, you might find a flavor you like. Thank you for the meal!

I watched a parade of people dressed as youkai at the bustling General Store shopping street, and then happened upon a brightly lit store. Curious, I peeked inside and found a candy shop. I was drawn to something and ended up buying a bag of Matsukaze no Kirisaki (tax included 100 yen). It had a crispy texture and a gentle sweetness that felt like a combination of egg and honey. It was unbelievably delicious and filling for just 100 yen!

There is a favorite rice cracker shop among my friends on Yokai Street, so I came here. It's a shop run by an elderly couple. Inside the shop, there are many rice crackers lined up. Just by arriving, I ended up buying so much that it's laughable. There are regular soy sauce rice crackers, sugar-coated rice crackers, light pink fried rice crackers, and bean snacks. I also bought sweet potato chips and peanut senbei. There are large packs for a good deal and small individual packs, making it easy to buy. I gave half as a souvenir to my mother and kept the rest for my own snacks. For some reason, I forgot to take a photo even though I bought so much. The rice crackers and peanut senbei were delicious.
