I ordered the Chirashi sushi set meal for 1080 yen. The service was pleasant and just right. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, with tatami seating on the right side as you enter. There was plenty of space and it felt comfortable. The sushi toppings were average, including octopus, tuna, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, sea bream, and cucumber. The sweet vinegar rice paired well with the egg omelette. The chawanmushi was small but tasty, with chicken, ginkgo nuts, and eel. Overall, it was a good meal, though I am a bit concerned about the evening atmosphere.

I occasionally visit this restaurant for lunch, knowing that the food is delicious. This time, I decided to go for dinner. We ordered the Tetchiri course (requires reservation), priced at 5500 yen for two people. It has been 20 years since I last ate fugu. We started with the tessa, which I didn't quite appreciate in my 20s, but now I can truly taste the deliciousness of fugu. As you chew, you can feel a dashi-like flavor. Next, a sashimi assortment is served. This time, we enjoyed a local sake called "Ginrei" from Tomio. It was incredibly delicious. Then came the fried fugu, another dish that really brought out the flavor of the fugu. I think this dish best showcases the true taste of fugu. A hot pot is placed in the middle of the table, filled with ingredients brought to you. You add them to the pot, along with sauce and condiments, and enjoy. The subtle deliciousness is hard to describe. Once you finish the ingredients, you call the staff over. They take the pot away and return with a porridge. This porridge is simply divine. I'm grateful to be born Japanese.

<<Access>> Located about 2 minutes west of the Otemichi intersection on Route 1 by car. <<Appearance, Interior>> The entrance has a fairly luxurious feel. I confirmed that there are counter seats, sunken kotatsu seats, and banquet seats on the second floor. <<Ordered Items>> Chirashi set meal ¥1000 Assorted set meal ¥1000 <<Impressions>> I used to pass by this place a long time ago, and always thought it was a high-class restaurant because there were always luxury cars parked in front and the building looked impressive. This time, I was invited by an acquaintance. I entered the restaurant around 13:00 on a weekday, and the counter seats were full. The chirashi set meal for ¥1000 includes chirashi sushi, tempura, and red miso soup. The chirashi sushi comes with tuna, octopus, shrimp, and a generous amount of rice. The tempura consisted of eggplant, pumpkin, onion, and bell peppers, which felt a bit lacking. The red miso soup was delicious. I'm glad I was brought here. I think it's a good restaurant to know in this area for a meaningful visit.

I had been curious about this place for a while, but the atmosphere at the entrance made me hesitate to go in. There were older and younger staff members running the counter inside. Despite feeling hesitant at the entrance, the inside was completely fine. Don't worry about it and just go in. The friendly owner created a great atmosphere. The lunch set was quite reasonable and nice. You can choose between tempura or sashimi as the main dish for only $8! With a bowl of steamed egg custard, it's $9! So, I ordered the sashimi set with steamed egg custard. The sashimi included sea bream, squid, tuna, and saury. Along with simmered fish, thick rolled omelette, pickles, miso soup, rice (free refills), and the steamed egg custard. For this price, it's definitely worth it! Isn't this a satisfying lunch? The rice was a bit soft, but everything else was perfect. The saba mackerel simmered in soy sauce was just the right amount of sweet and went well with the rice. In the end, I had a second helping of rice. Yes, I was completely satisfied with this set meal☆ I visited again one evening. The rice was soft overall, giving a sticky feeling when combined with the toppings. There were fried eggplants in dashi broth and a hearty serving of toppings, including the steamed egg custard. In the evening, it's more like a side dish for drinks rather than sushi. For lunch, I highly recommend it as a satisfying meal.

The other day, I was driving north on Route 1 when I stopped at a traffic light right next to this restaurant. Although I often drive past this restaurant by car, I only noticed its existence for the first time this time. I checked the restaurant on Tabelog and found only one review with limited information. Intrigued, I decided to have lunch at this restaurant. There is only space for about 2-3 cars in front of the restaurant, but as expected, there is a space for about 10 cars in the back. I arrived at the restaurant around noon, and there were already a few cars parked in the garage in the back. Upon entering the restaurant, I saw three groups of customers and a couple of salarymen at the counter. The atmosphere inside was calm and not really suitable for young people. I sat at the counter (I may not be considered young, but I was probably the youngest customer that day). The counter had 10 seats, and there were about 5 sunken kotatsu-style seats in the restaurant. While looking around, I couldn't find a menu, but the staff kindly provided me with a lunch menu board. I ordered the Chef's Choice Lunch Set with sashimi and chawanmushi for 900 yen. While waiting, I noticed various menu items written above the counter seats, with prices ranging from 120 yen for tamago to 700 yen for toro. After about 10 minutes, my order arrived. The sashimi consisted of two pieces each of sea bream and squid, and three pieces of yellowtail. The sea bream was firm and all the pieces were cut slightly thick. The mackerel simmered in soy sauce, though small in size, was very delicious. The chawanmushi was small but contained eel, chicken, kamaboko, and ginkgo nuts, with a subtle flavor of kabosu adding an elegant touch. The miso soup with wakame, enoki mushrooms, and green onions had a taste similar to that of a sushi restaurant's miso soup and was also very tasty. If you don't mind citrus flavors like yuzu or kabosu, I highly recommend the chawanmushi for just 100 yen more. Lastly, when I asked the chef about the yellowtail, he showed me the actual fish and kindly provided me with information. Despite my personal criteria that may lower the cost performance of upscale restaurants, I rated this restaurant 4 out of 5 objectively. If you enjoy elegant dishes in small portions, I recommend this lunch. It may not be suitable for young or hearty eaters who prioritize quantity over quality, but it would be appreciated by those in a more mature age group.

In order to align with the nearby Jirocho-san, the score for "food taste" has been changed from 4.5 to 4.0. This restaurant is located along Route 1, and I had noticed it for a while. However, I hesitated to visit because there are only 2-3 parking spaces available in front of the store and the flow of traffic is towards the north. But when I was driving on the back street (west side), I found about 10 parking spaces behind the store, so I decided to go in. I sat at the counter and ordered the "omakase set meal" (select either sashimi or tempura, this time I chose sashimi) for 900 yen (700 yen without chawanmushi). The sashimi included sea bream, squid, and tuna, all in good condition and generously cut. The mackerel miso stew was visually appealing and had a refined sweetness, which I like. The dashimaki tamago had a good aroma of dashi and was well-rolled. The chawanmushi had eel, chicken, kamaboko, and ginkgo nut, which was traditional but delicately flavored, another taste I enjoy. The red miso soup with fu, wakame, and green onions was good in taste, although there were some doubts about the condition of the wakame. All of this for 900 yen, and if white fish is added to the red miso soup, it would be a round of applause-worthy dish!
