At Rakuten Market, you can't buy the Kyoto-exclusive nut series that is unique to this place. The packaging is elegant and cute, and the price is reasonable. If you're looking for a gift to give out that's not the typical Yatsuhashi, this one might be a hit with the ladies.

Today, I visited the Salon de Royale Kyoto Arashiyama store in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto. This is a chocolate and sweets specialty store known for their pecan nuts. The store specializes in selling pecan nuts and offers a variety of options. The store is small but has a wide selection of products. I purchased the Pecan Karakara, a limited edition item coated with senbei rice crackers for 350 yen. It had a lovely senbei flavor and used soy sauce from Yagisawa Shoten in Rikuzentakata. The nuts inside added a nice bean snack element. The combination with the senbei rice crackers was great. It was fun to try the different nuts available.

First Visit (June 2018, Sunday, around 1 pm [TakeOut]) Second stop in Arashiyama, Kyoto. Discovered a chocolate shop through corporate sales. The pecan nut chocolate is delicious. I decided to look up pecan nuts and found out that they belong to the walnut family, are known as the "butter tree," and are rich in unsaturated fatty acids. They are said to be good for preventing lifestyle diseases and anti-aging. So, I highly recommend the pecan nut chocolate. The Arashiyama store opened in March 2018, so it's still a new shop. I haven't been to the main store, so I can't compare, but the Arashiyama store has a variety of stylish small packaged products perfect for souvenirs. A fusion of Japanese and Western flavors. This time, I purchased the following four items: - Salted Pecan Nuts (Choice) 450 yen White chocolate with a hint of salt. The coating chocolate is generous, and it is indeed delicious. - Strawberry Pecan Nuts 450 yen White chocolate with sweet and sour strawberry fruit as an accent. - Strawberry Chocolate (Choice) 450 yen Similar to Kobe Frantz's strawberry chocolate. Dried strawberries coated with white chocolate. The one from Kobe Frantz might be tastier. - Kyoto Hororo (Fermented Soybean Powder) 550 yen Tried a sample and it was delicious. It's a Japanese-style cookie with just the right amount of sweetness. The traditional Kyoto-style packaging is lovely! How about this as a souvenir?

The Kyoto store is a popular shop among the Hyakumeiten. They have shops in various department stores and also have pages on major shopping sites. This time, I purchased charity chocolates through Nekorepublic. I support Nekorepublic's activities and often provide assistance. I bought one Tiramisu chocolate and one Cocoa Milk chocolate, both in a lovely cat-shaped box designed by Toshiyuki Fukuda. Each item costs ¥2,222 (tax included), and it comes with a postcard of Chibibi, who has sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. The Cocoa Milk chocolate won the Gold Award at the 24th National Confectionery Exhibition and has been popular since the founding of the company. It is made with semi-sweet chocolate and coated with authentic bitter cocoa powder on the outside, resulting in a perfect balance of sweetness. Both chocolates are individually wrapped, making them great for sharing. The Tiramisu chocolate was surprisingly well-made, with a delicious mascarpone cheese chocolate and crunchy almond candy coating. This was a hit with my friends as well. I am impressed by their dedication to making delicious treats and their commitment to community activities. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I received these candies as a gift from an acquaintance. They are Pecan Nuts coated in candy, with two flavors: Pecan Nuts coated in white chocolate and Pecan Nuts coated in matcha. The matcha flavor comes in a box with four bags, each containing 18g (3-4 pieces). The Pecan Nuts are caramelized and inside the white chocolate. They have a light texture and are easy to eat, with a deliciously nutty flavor. Pecan Nuts are from the walnut family, but are they walnuts or nuts? Where can I buy them? They seem healthy, so I would like to eat them more often.
