About once every three months, I suddenly crave Pad Thai. Today, I was feeling that way again and decided to search for a Thai restaurant on Google Maps. I found this place. In addition to Pad Thai, their lunch set also includes dishes like Pad Kaprao and Green Curry. I didn't realize that the set came with fresh spring rolls and fruit, so it was a pleasant surprise. The Pad Thai had two large shrimp in it, which added to the overall satisfaction of the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I went for lunch on a regular day! It wasn't too crowded, just the right amount of customers filling up the seats. For lunch, they had Green Curry, Gapao Rice, and Pad Thai set meals, and I chose the Pad Thai set. It came with fresh spring rolls and fruits! The sweet chili sauce and plenty of vegetables in the fresh spring rolls were refreshing and easy to eat. The Pad Thai had lots of plump shrimp and plenty of dried shrimp for flavor. The crunchy nuts added a nice texture. There were plenty of eggs and bean sprouts, even more toppings than noodles in the Pad Thai, making it quite luxurious! The refreshing sudachi lime on the side added a nice touch to the taste, and it was delicious until the end! The drinks looked delicious too, with some that could even serve as dessert, so I think it would be nice to go back for a meal and a drink afterwards.

A stylish ethnic restaurant in Demachiyanagi, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto. The decor uses white and blue colors, and the restaurant has been around for a while. I have visited a few times before. This time, I ordered the Thai curry lunch set. It cost 1100 yen (including tax). The service was a bit slow. The green curry was light and had fried vegetables and chicken in it. The spices, coconut milk, and salt were all mild and easy to eat. It was probably the lightest green curry I've had in Kyoto. The set included fresh spring rolls with sweet chili sauce and a few pieces of fruit. There was no salad. I especially liked the cafe-style atmosphere of the restaurant.

I happened to enter this restaurant after looking at the menu board, and it was a great decision! Even though I'm not a big fan of green curry, the one I had here was so delicious that I want to eat it again. The shrimp and other ingredients were prepared with care, and the vegetables were fresh, making me very satisfied. I wish this place was closer so I could visit more often.

To kroon-san,
I arrived at the restaurant just before noon and there were already two people waiting. One more group arrived after me. Today, it is snowing outside. Finally, at 12:05, the man in charge of cooking (maybe the owner?) arrived on his bicycle and the restaurant opened.
I entered the restaurant at 12:13. There were four lunch sets available, and I ordered the Pad Thai lunch set for 1,200 yen (excluding tax) as I couldn't forget the Pad Thai I had at Kaonaya Hills last Friday.
At 12:13, the fresh spring rolls and fruits arrived. The fruits were pineapple and orange, and the fresh spring rolls contained lettuce, cucumber, carrots, purple cabbage, and imitation crab meat as fillings. The sauce for the spring rolls seemed to be homemade, with a slightly sweet and tangy flavor.
At 12:22, the Pad Thai was served. It was beautifully presented with shrimp tails lined up and vibrant sakura shrimp on top. My Pad Thai came with four condiments in separate containers - sugar (?), vinegar, fish sauce, and chili powder. I tried the Pad Thai as it was first, and it had a refreshing taste with a light seasoning. It was clear that adjusting the flavors to personal preference was the intended way to enjoy the dish. I customized the flavors by using the condiments provided. It was enjoyable to do so.
I realized that even with the same Thai dish, there can be various expressions of flavors, almost like home-cooked meals. It made me think of how Japanese yakisoba also varies in taste. The snow outside was blowing heavily, and new customers rushed in. Since the restaurant was not very spacious, I decided to leave early. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around noon. The cafe had a normal appearance rather than a Thai vibe. The staff were friendly, quick with water, and attentive when taking our order. The menu was slightly different from what I saw online, but they served fruits. I ordered curry and a Thai-style yakisoba. The portions were large, which may become tiring if eating alone. I shared the dishes and found the flavors delicious. The shrimp was fresh and the avocado sweet. The yakisoba lacked spiciness, which was disappointing for me as I expected it to be spicy. Overall, I wished for smaller portions to try more variety.

I visited a cozy restaurant with my close friends from my previous workplace, a research lab and office staff. The restaurant was recommended by a friend, and it was a great choice. Located just a short walk from Demachiyanagi Station, the atmosphere was romantic with its evening lighting. The menu was full of Asian dishes, which was a refreshing change for me. I left the ordering to my beautiful secretary, who chose a variety of delicious dishes. The shrimp was juicy, the vegetables crunchy, and the spicy dishes had a good balance of heat and flavor. There were also options for those who don't like spicy food. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including a spicy stir-fry that left some of us in awe. The dessert was not only cute but also had a gentle flavor. Overall, the quality of ingredients, relaxing atmosphere, and accommodating menu made this restaurant a great choice for a group of friends with different preferences. I highly recommend this place for both hot summer days and chilly evenings. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I had lunch on a weekday. The restaurant is located a little east of Demachiyanagi Station, with several shops on the 1st floor, so it's easy to find. It was busy during lunchtime, but this time I was able to get in without waiting. I wanted something spicy, so I chose the avocado and shrimp green curry. You can also add a drink to your lunch. The curry had a moderate spiciness and was delicious with plenty of shrimp and avocado. The waitress was friendly and nice.

After trying various Thai restaurants in Kyoto, I found that I loved Depasawadi the most, but it closed down and I became a Thai food refugee. However, I recently found a wonderful restaurant. I particularly enjoy the Tom Yum Kung and the pork Gai Yang. The tempura shrimp is also delicious and crispy. They provide various condiments (sugar, spicy vinegar, nam pla, chili) so you can adjust the flavor to your liking. They even serve the peanuts separately for those who don't like them. They are happy to accommodate various requests. The atmosphere is cozy and the authentic flavors are satisfying. I realized once again that I truly love Thai food. On my third visit with four people, we spent around 24,000 to 28,000 yen, which was worth it for the amount of food and wine we enjoyed.
