The bright, glass-walled interior is small with one four-person table and eight two-person bench seats. Despite being run by a male owner alone, the menu is surprisingly extensive and the prices are very reasonable. I was torn between choices but decided on the "Chicken Nanban" (with rice and salad). Despite being a one-man operation, the service time was no problem at all. When the plate was brought out, I was surprised again! Five pieces of chicken seemed to weigh about 30g each. With fruit and side dishes included, all for under 800 yen, I was impressed. The tartar sauce, with finely chopped onions adding a hint of acidity, was delicious. The sweet and sour Nanban sauce also paired well with the rice. The rice portion was generous, like a family restaurant lunch. I managed to finish it, but my stomach was full. There are no prominent signs, and the opening hours are set as "from 12:00 to 14:00, we are always open," so I recommend considering a backup option when visiting. If they could improve their uncertain opening days and long wait times, I would love to visit more often.
