I happened to find this restaurant near Kyoto Station while looking for a yakiniku place to have a drink before catching the Shinkansen. It's a yakiniku restaurant where you order using a touch panel, which is common these days. When I went, it was during lunchtime so the touch panel was not available. I ordered a draft beer, a platter of hormone meats (teppan, akasenmai, mino), upper kalbi, and napa cabbage kimchi. The upper kalbi was decent for the price, but not amazing. The teppan was not very fatty, which was disappointing. However, the akasenmai was juicy and incredibly delicious! I enjoyed grilling the meat while sipping on my beer, but I found myself wanting more, so I added maruchou (intestines) and more akasenmai. The beer went down very smoothly. For dessert, I ordered cold noodles, which were authentic Korean style with a side of kochujang to adjust the spiciness. I enjoyed yakiniku by myself this time, but I think this is a place where solo diners can have a great time without feeling awkward. (I noticed a few other customers dining solo as well)

Beautiful atmosphere. The staff is clean and pleasant. It's a mix of yakiniku with a little bit of Korean influence. It's relatively quiet around 17:00, but by 18:00 there are many customers waiting at the entrance, probably because of the holiday season. I like the Harami/Tare for the meat! And the Makgeolli was also delicious.

I visited the restaurant after 3 PM. I had only made a reservation for a table. Since I couldn't get the lunch menu, I thought, "Oh, I guess I can only order from the dinner menu now." I was a little disappointed. However, after selecting a few items, I asked, "Do you not have a lunch menu on weekends?" and they brought it to me. When I looked at the menu, it stated that lunch is served until 4:30 PM on weekdays and until 4 PM on weekends. I wonder why they didn't give it to me in the beginning. Maybe not many people order lunch here. There were some things that made me go "hmm," like a pile of used dishes near the entrance and having the meal served on top of a laminated lunch menu sheet. Despite these observations, the cost performance is good and the location is convenient, so I'm sure they have a steady flow of customers. The food was delicious. Thank you.

The restaurant interior was bright, clean, and had a calm atmosphere, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. The meat was delicious, and the salad, kimchi, namul, bibimbap, cold noodles, and dessert were all well-seasoned and nicely presented. While I'm not a fan of having to use my smartphone to place orders, if that's the case, I wish they would at least provide Wi-Fi. The day I visited, the restaurant was full, but the overall atmosphere was peaceful, and it wasn't noisy inside. The staff also left a good impression with their professionalism. Thank you for a comfortable time.

The Teppanyaki restaurant "Taishogun" in front of Kyoto Station is a great find with affordable lunch options for under 1000 yen. Located near the station, it is easy to access. The restaurant is on the second floor behind Kyoto Tower. The spacious and simple interior can accommodate many customers. I ordered the volume lunch set B, which included a hamburger and fried chicken. The meal arrived quickly as there were only two other customers. The portion size was generous. The hamburger tasted like a typical retort meal, but the fried chicken was delicious, similar to what you would find at a Chinese restaurant. I would recommend the fried chicken over the hamburger. The set meal with a drink was only 930 yen, which is quite affordable. There are many lunch options to choose from, so everyone in a group can find something they like. By noon, the restaurant started to fill up with customers, so I was glad I arrived early. I would consider coming back to try a different lunch option in the future.

We visited this restaurant after seeing it on "Yoshino-chan Nel" and seeing how delicious the food looked. We decided to have lunch at the Kyoto Station front store this time, instead of the one in Shijo-Omiya. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building on the west side of Kyoto Station Tower Building. Even though it wasn't yet 12 o'clock, the restaurant was already crowded with people. We were surprised by how busy it was. We were seated at a raised tatami area instead of a regular table. The lunch menu had a wide variety of options, including not just grilled meat. We ordered the "Choose your own grilled meat lunch set for 1300 yen" which came with Namul, Kimchi, mini salad, rice, and miso soup. You can choose one type of meat from the following options: Wagyu Kalbi, Wagyu Chuck (thigh meat), Harami, Domestic Beef Chuck (thigh meat), Salted Tongue, or Assorted Hormone. I chose Wagyu Kalbi, and my wife chose Domestic Beef Chuck. The set was very cost-effective, and the meat was delicious. We left thinking about wanting to try the cold noodles next time. As we left, we were surprised to see a long line of people waiting at the entrance.

Located right in front of Kyoto Station, in a building next to Kyoto Tower, is a yakiniku restaurant. They offer various lunch set meals, and I ordered the chicken karaage set for 850 yen. The set came with 7 pieces of karaage, which was quite filling. Each piece of karaage was not too large, but the bigger ones had cuts in them, making them easy to eat. You can also get a free extra serving of rice, but considering the generous portion of karaage, you might want to think twice before ordering it. A complimentary drink is also included after your meal, although the system for this is unclear. It seems that the free drink does not change daily.

To feel better, nothing beats meat. On a Friday night before Christmas at a restaurant right in front of Kyoto Station. Stepping inside, I was surprised by the crowd, so many people, especially young ones. Maybe they're splurging because it's Christmas? The interior and seating of the restaurant exude cleanliness. The contrast between the entrance and the narrow staircase and the inside is astonishing. I ordered the top-quality assorted meats, with top-grade tongue, special top-grade loin, special top-grade kalbi, top-grade loin, and top-grade sirloin. The meat that arrived was like a work of art. I enjoyed it rare. Ah, happiness... The rice disappeared in no time. I also ordered the multi-chow, my recent favorite. When the dish arrived, I was surprised. It was small... Well, overeating is not good. Since I still had a bit of a craving, I ordered the chijimi. It was not chewy but thin and crispy. It was like a pizza. But it was delicious.

I have been coming here occasionally for decades. Today, I started with Sapporo draft beer, then had hot sake with ice sugar, followed by grilled kalbi, top loin, liver, and beef tripe. I finished with changja, rice, Korean seaweed, egg soup. It's not a high-end restaurant, but the taste is consistently delicious. Thank you for the meal! ♫

I had to wait for about 30 minutes even though there was a 1-hour wait and it was crowded because they had a 2-hour time limit. It was dinner after visiting the shrine, so I ate until I was full. The premium loin was delicious. The deluxe yakiniku set is a must-have. (///ω///)♪

I used it for work on a regular evening. It was a 2-hour all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat course for 5000 yen. There were only Kyoho grape chu-hi and few types of meat, leaving me dissatisfied. It was located within walking distance from Kyoto Station, so it may be reasonable for all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat, but I don't think I would use it privately. Thank you for the meal!

Located on the second floor next to Kyoto Tower, Kyoto Yakiniku Taishogun is a bit hard to find but still attracts many customers. This was my first visit and I ordered the Yakiniku bento for 850 yen. They offer free extra rice, which I took advantage of. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the salad was fresh. Considering its convenient location near Kyoto Station, it's definitely a great deal. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered tongue, loin, harami, kalbi, and tetchan. The harami was the most tender and delicious. I also ordered stone-grilled cheese bibimbap, but the flavor wasn't very strong and it was hard to get a crispy bottom. I wish it had more seasoning. Also, the cost performance is not great. It's not really a high-end yakiniku place, but it still cost around 3000-4000 yen per person with just enough food to feel satisfied. I might as well go to my favorite all-you-can-eat yakiniku place for that price.

I was impressed that they provided a mask case. There was no hand sanitizer or temperature check, but I had my own hand sanitizer so it was okay. Ordering with a tablet minimized face-to-face interaction, which was good. The vegetables already had some seasoning and were a bit spicy, but still delicious. Thank you very much.

Let's do a series on roast beef bowls after a long time, about 20 in total. Roast beef bowl of the day - Part 17: "Tenka no Yakiniku Taishogun Kyoto Station Front Store" (Kyoto) Roast beef bowl for 880 yen.

Kyoto Station is right near the station and the prices are very reasonable. But most importantly, the food is delicious! Everything I ate was tasty. At night, you can enjoy yakiniku while looking at Kyoto Tower reflected in the windows of Kyoto Station.
