The deliciousness of the chicken is amazing! The raw meat is also delicious! It's a great find of a nice restaurant! They even have a lineup of Sasaki Shuzo sake! Well done, well done on the selection! And the rice is claimed to be the 8th generation Gihei, but what came out was probably frozen rice. That's the only disappointing part. Overall, it was a delicious yakitori restaurant!

It was a bit late for lunch and the daily special was sold out, so I ended up getting the fried chicken set meal. It came with various side dishes which was nice. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, served with a purple sauce on the side. The side dish of rolled omelette was cold and lacking in vegetables. The purple sauce turned out to be pickled eggplant, which wasn't very tasty. Surprisingly, it came with udon noodles which didn't complement the meal well. Overall, the fried chicken was delicious but the rest of the meal was a bit disappointing.

Although I hadn't heard of it before, I felt like I had to try it, so we ordered grilled chicken breast and the chef's choice. We also chose some items from the domestic young chicken menu. The salt and sauce were pre-determined by the restaurant's recommendation, which was fine for me as I prefer salt. We started with a toast with draft beer! The first beer always tastes the best in my opinion. Then the grilled chicken breast arrived, and it was moist and delicious. The other yakitori dishes were also tasty, although the salt was a bit strong for my liking. I switched to a mega highball halfway through, and I ended up feeling a bit tipsy, so my review may be a bit light-hearted. I visited this place for the third time. It had been open for about a month. I arrived before 5 pm and found only a few customers inside. The place used to be called "Sakaba Tsujiya" but had changed to "Sumibi Kushiyaki Tsujiya." During the tough times of the pandemic, the staff worked hard to sell bento boxes and kushiyaki outside the restaurant. The food I tried included tsukune, which lacked flavor, nasu sashimi that was plain, and seasonal vegetable banh mi that was too sweet. The chicken broth soba had a thin soup and hard noodles. The service was lacking, with the staff seeming tired and unenthusiastic. I left without ordering more due to the lackluster experience. The hygiene measures mentioned on the menu were not actually in place. Additionally, I was charged for items I did not order. Overall, the experience was disappointing.

I went to a trendy yakitori restaurant that I was very curious about on the way to Umekoji Park. There are many branches in Kyoto. I was able to enter without a reservation on the day, but I recommend making a reservation because more and more customers were coming in. There were some items that were not available, but I ordered what caught my eye. The yakitori, carefully grilled over charcoal, was incredibly delicious! The tsukune (chicken meatballs) is a must-order ✨ They seem to be particular about the chicken, and the juicy flavor of the meat is delicious! I went to "Kyoto Charcoal Grilled Skewers Tsujiya Ume Koji Kita Store" by myself for lunch on March 25th. I saw in the reviews that they also serve ramen for lunch, but they only had Karaage set meal when I went. Since it was my day off, I ordered a premium malt beer for 500 yen and Karaage set meal for 800 yen. The Karaage came with 5 large pieces, and even though it came with mayonnaise, it was flavorful enough on its own. I mixed the provided salt and sansho pepper to make a dipping salt for some flavor variation. It seemed like the Karaage could have been a bit less oily, but overall, I was satisfied with my lunch. The counter was a bit dirty, which bothered me a little, but I understand that they were busy. Thank you for the meal.

The shop was clean and the staff was friendly. The service was a bit slow because one employee was off, but they apologized and brought the dishes out eventually. I was planning to go to a certain restaurant, but it was closed, so I ended up wandering around and found this place. When I told the staff that we were just looking to drink, they asked if it was okay if the grilled dishes were served slowly. I said it was fine since it was our second stop. We started with draft beer for ¥490 and a mega beam highball for ¥580. We also ordered an assorted oden platter for ¥680. Later on, we decided to have some yakitori as well, so we got negima (chicken thigh with green onion and salt) for ¥250, seseri (chicken neck) with salt for ¥200, heart with salt for ¥180, tsukune (chicken meatballs) with sauce for ¥280, bonjiri (chicken tail) with salt for ¥180, and homemade chikuwa (fish cake) for ¥280. We also tried the recommended chicken broth soba for ¥580. The yakitori was delicious, and the oden broth was like chicken white soup, which was really tasty. It's getting hot outside, so it was nice to find a place serving oden. The miso that came with the soba was so good, I wish they sold it separately! The homemade chikuwa made from chicken meat was a new and different kind of skewer menu item. The staff were attentive and provided good service even though they were busy. The set courses are reasonably priced, so I would recommend coming here for a group gathering. The restaurant was bustling, so I recommend making a reservation to ensure you get a table.

I also had lunch at a company near the restaurant that serves delicious food. I ordered the ramen set meal and the fried chicken set meal. I chose the fried chicken set meal, which came with a cute and delicious pink sauce. The fried chicken was piping hot and very tasty, and it also came with curry soup and salad. The staff were polite and attentive. Please go and try it, you won't be disappointed! Even my colleague who went for the first time was impressed with how delicious it was. If a train museum station opens nearby, more people might come. My friend who went with me last time said if it was in Saiin, it might become a restaurant that's hard to reserve at. It's a popular spot among young women. The angel shrimp was incredibly delicious again, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Despite feeling unwell, I felt better on my way back. I was guided to a sunken kotatsu seat. The counter seemed narrow. The grilled chicken breast was very delicious. The kama-meshi was just the right size, and it was a restaurant that made me want to go again.

The people at the company recommended this restaurant, so I decided to try it out. The chicken sashimi was amazing, with a crispy outer layer that was so fragrant. The skewers that kept coming out one after another were unique and delicious, especially popular among women. They were cute to look at, but when you tasted them, they were incredibly tasty. The seafood skewers like cod and blowfish, as well as squid, were all delicious. The ramen at the end was also outstanding, with a chicken broth that I drank every last drop of. It was light and the perfect ending to the skewers, all for a very reasonable price of 2500 yen. It's a shame that they will be turning into a yakitori restaurant from November. Maybe it's because of the location, but not many people know about it. I highly recommend this place before it changes. I will definitely be visiting a few more times.
