In the shop inside the petting farm in Aya, I tried to go to Google Maps, but I got into a strange road and thought it was dangerous, so I turned back. There were signs along the way asking if the navigation was wrong. This facility is a place where you can interact with dogs, rabbits, horses, goats, and ostriches! My dog ​​loves rabbits and was very excited! You can also rent buggies and other interesting facilities. Please note that masks are required inside the store. This shop mainly offers barbecue and meat dishes! I think I'll try it next time I go. You can enter the park for free. Parking is also free! I thought about buying food and souvenirs, but I wasn't in the mood for meat today, so I bought soft serve ice cream and 2 rabbit feeds. Sorry... This soft serve ice cream was really good, with a creamy and rich flavor yet refreshing aftertaste. It was a great soft serve ice cream! The barbecue and other dishes also seem to be of high quality! This looks delicious! I will visit again in early September! I will definitely have a barbecue then!

I found the "Ayabe Fureai Farm" while looking for a nearby ranch! For lunch, I went to the restaurant inside the ranch called "Fureai Shokudo Heidi's Kitchen". Unfortunately, the venison roast set was sold out. I ordered the large hamburger set, lunch box, and kids' set! The portions were bigger than expected and it was delicious! The children were also happy eating it. ☺️

On the last day of the three-day weekend, Sunday afternoon, my family went out together. It took us 92 minutes from Kyoto city to arrive via local roads and highways. We arrived at 1:30 pm for our first visit. The restaurant was crowded and bustling. We had to wait for a while. There were four groups ahead of us, but luckily a table opened up and we were seated in about 15 minutes. There were also raised seating areas in the back. We ordered the Kyoto Tanba beef hormone stew bowl, the deer and local vegetable hot pot stew set, and the large hamburger curry set. However, the wait from here was long. It took 35 minutes for the first dish to arrive. It was just in time before our stomachs and backs stuck together. Just made it! (laughs) The dishes, made with plenty of local ingredients and handmade, were very flavorful and satisfying. We also ordered the strawberry shake, chocolate crunch ice cream, and premium soft serve for dessert. "I'm sorry for the rush. Thank you for waiting so long." The friendly and attentive service was pleasant, and it seemed to be popular not only among tourists but also among locals. After enjoying a late lunch, we interacted with the animals. There may not have been many types of animals, but it was definitely a healing spot. I recommend both the dining area and the ranch!

I had been to a barbecue here before and enjoyed the spacious and relaxed dining experience, so I decided to come back after a long time. I didn't remember it being there before, but this time I chose the glamping style where you can barbecue outdoors even on rainy days. Chicken steamed and grilled was prepared first, and while waiting for it to be ready, we grilled other meats and vegetables to eat. The whole shrimp was a bit difficult to eat, but the meat, especially the tender chicken steamed and grilled, was delicious with perfect seasoning. Being able to barbecue and eat outdoors in a natural setting was really nice. There were quite a few families there, but the space was spacious, quiet, and relaxing, allowing us to refresh.

I enjoyed a barbecue at a farm with lots of sheep and rabbits to help me relax. They had regular meat and smoked chicken, as well as deliciously cut bell peppers. The vegetables cooked in the Dutch oven were sweet and tasty.

From Fukuchiyama, there are two ways to reach the restaurant in Ayabe. You can take Prefectural Road 74 and enter Ayabe, or you can enter from the Nakanishi Kogen Wide-Area Agricultural Road to Prefectural Road 74. After passing the intersection for "Satemachi" and heading east for a while, you will see a sign for "Ayabe Fureai Ranch 1.4 km." Follow the sign and drive north, passing under the highway overpass until you see the Ayabe Fureai Ranch on your right. The restaurant is located inside the ranch. There are parking lots scattered around, and when you enter the restaurant, you will find table seating and a raised area on the right side, with enough seating for a decent number of people. Highchairs are available for children. The restaurant seemed quite busy, with a few tables not being attended to. We flagged down a staff member for assistance. When a group of around 10 people arrived, a family sitting at a large table quickly left after being spoken to by a staff member (we couldn't hear what was said). Water and wet towels were not provided immediately, but we looked through the menu and ordered the "Tamba Momiji Venison and Local Vegetable Stew Set" for 1680 yen with an extra large rice portion (+150 yen). My companion ordered the "Jorinji Farm-Raised Chicken" yakiniku for 650 yen and "Showa Emperor's Toast" for 150 yen from the yakiniku a la carte menu. Finally, we received water and wet towels. The stew in the pot was simmering when opened. The salad had plenty of mizuna with dressing. It was fresh and crunchy, and we were happy that refills were available. The venison pieces were small, with a demiglace sauce that had a flavor reminiscent of mutton or lamb. The rice was locally produced from Oku Jorin. Despite arriving late in the day, the food was decent. I tried a piece of the Jorinji chicken, which seemed to be thigh meat that hadn't fully thawed. It had a firm texture, and the "prideful homemade sauce" was sweet. I prefer a bit less sweetness, but I appreciated that it was free of additives. My total bill was 1780 yen, while my companion's was 800 yen. Considering the portion sizes and quality, I felt the value for money was not great. Interaction with the animals is free (a 100 yen donation is requested for the cat house, and carrots for the rabbits and sheep are 50 yen). There is no entrance fee, so perhaps this pricing is to be expected. While the Tamba beef is also a premium meat, it is more affordable than the venison. Achieving good value for money with game meat can be challenging.

Barbecue restaurant at Farm Park is recommended for grilled meat. You can enjoy barbecue without bringing anything when you have a group of people. It is suitable for family gatherings or company outings. You can relax in the open Farm Park. They offer carefully selected beef, and individual customers can also enjoy grilled meat. They also have easy-to-eat bowls, curry, and kids' menus. The soft serve ice cream is delicious. In the summer, they also serve shaved ice. In the past, cows were the main attraction, and there was a park for children to play next to the livestock area. Now, there are no cows. The operation has been outsourced to a private company, and a grassy square has been created. With this BBQ restaurant at the center, you can see small animals and enjoy various activities. There is a horse riding club in front of the restaurant. You can feed rabbits, play badminton on the grass, use the slide, visit the cat house, and enjoy the Cosmos festival. Free parking.
