YOC Mini Kaiseki and Sukiyaki Set I ordered the Mini Kaiseki set, while my companion ordered the Sukiyaki set. The Sukiyaki set had a generous portion of meat, making it very satisfying. The Mini Kaiseki set included sashimi, tempura, chawanmushi, small dishes, and soup. The sashimi platter featured three types of fish - bluefin tuna, black sea bream, and amberjack. The bluefin tuna was particularly delicious with a rich flavor. The amberjack had a nice texture and just the right amount of fat, while the black sea bream was also tasty but the tuna stood out the most. The tempura assortment was crispy and didn't leave me feeling heavy (I have a sensitive stomach). Although the prices at this restaurant are on the higher side for lunch, the quality of the food justifies it and there is a sense of value. This restaurant is located in Fukuchiyama City at the YOC store. Thank you for the meal.

Head towards Kyoto on Route 9. Pass under the Fukuchiyama Line viaduct and take the exit towards Ayabe. Proceed straight at the Tsuchi intersection, and after a while, you will see a restaurant on the left side where Route 9 runs above. The lunch sign is the landmark. There are about 5 parking spaces in front of the shop. The shop is surprisingly small, with several 4-person tables. I wonder if there are seats on the second floor since I see the staff going up and down the stairs. The daily special seems to be popular for lunch, but I decided to order the "Chicken Miso Katsu" from the menu. I ordered the large size as reviews mentioned that the regular size wasn't that big. After a short wait, the dish arrived. Wow! The rice bowl lid wasn't even closed... it's a huge portion! It seems they've returned to the original portion size. The miso sauce was served in a separate dish, with a thick consistency. The chicken katsu seemed to be made from breast meat. The breading was firm, and the breadcrumbs stuck to the mouth (laughs). I personally prefer thigh meat as it's juicier. The meat and breading were both tough, lacking juiciness. In Aichi, there is a big divide between "Sarasara sauce" and "Torotoro sauce," but the miso sauce here is a unique type not found in Aichi restaurants, more like a mix of dipping and pouring miso. The side dish had a strong dashi flavor but was slightly sweet. The rice was lightly seasoned with less sweetness. However, it was a huge portion! The miso soup was a rare red miso around here! Exciting! But it was a bit salty... I couldn't finish all the rice even though there was a lot. Each table had an ashtray, indicating smoking is allowed. There are other dishes I'd like to try. I'd prefer to avoid smoking when using the restaurant.

Today, I had lunch at Tomoshige. I ordered the Oyster Fry set with extra rice, which cost over 1000 yen. The oysters were juicy and delicious, but I noticed that the extra rice portion has been decreasing gradually. The portion size seemed smaller this time, even though I paid extra for it. The service of handing back change with just one hand at the payment also seemed a bit off. Overall, my rating for this visit is lower. Today's daily special at Tomoshige was Fried Sardines with Mini Udon or Miso Soup set. I opted for the Hamburg and Chicken Karaage set instead. The food arrived quickly, and the Hamburg was juicy and tasty, while the Karaage was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I thought it would be even better with some chili sauce. I will definitely be back to try more dishes next time. For today's lunch, I had the Soft Yakiniku set at Tomoshige. The meat was tender as described, and the yakiniku sauce was flavorful, making the rice very appetizing. The rice was a bit softer and moister than I prefer, but overall, the meal was satisfying. I felt that the portion size was a bit small for the price, and I would have liked a bit more volume. Nevertheless, it was a good meal. I visited Tomoshige again for lunch and had the Tonkatsu set. It took a bit longer compared to the daily specials, but the wait was worth it. The thick Tonkatsu was crispy and satisfying, and the rice was delicious with a hint of sweetness. I opted for extra rice, which cost an additional 100 yen, making the total 1112 yen. Overall, I was satisfied with the meal. Today, I tried the Katsu Nabe set at Tomoshige, recommended by an acquaintance. It was priced at 1200 yen before tax, a bit on the higher side for lunch. The Katsu Nabe arrived in a hot pot, still bubbling hot. The thick pork cutlet and the soft egg in the hot pot were delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the generous portion. I finished the meal feeling satisfied with the recommendation. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is my fifth visit and every dish I have tried has been delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and relaxing, allowing you to enjoy your meal in a leisurely manner. The daily special offers great value for money at only 680 yen including tax. The udon on the daily special has a firm texture with a rich broth. The Negitoro bowl with raw egg on top, mixed with soy sauce and wasabi, was excellent. My partner ordered the Karei fish simmered in soy sauce and deep-fried tofu set meal for 880 yen including tax, and the simmered fish had a perfect seasoning that made us exclaim "it's so good!" The miso soup was piping hot and had just the right amount of richness. We enjoyed our meal in a relaxing tatami room.

Today's lunch was at Tomoshige in Tsuchi, Fukuchiyama City. The daily special set menu is only 680 yen, which is very reasonable. Today's special was grated hamburger, but I was in the mood for pork, so I chose the pork loin ginger stir-fry set. The daily special menu comes out quickly, but the regular set menu takes a bit longer - I waited for about 10 minutes before it arrived (laughs). It may be a bit more expensive compared to other menu items, but the pork loin was thick and very satisfying. I'm interested in trying other menu items, so I'd like to visit this restaurant again. Thank you for the meal today!
