Yojiya Saga Arashiyama Store is located in Saganotenryuji Tateishi-cho, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. Next to it is Yojiya Cafe Ocha no Crepe Saga Arashiyama Store, where you can buy the seasonal limited edition Sakura Crepe - Omekashi Honoka to celebrate the birth of Hana Honoka. The building with a window in front of the garden at the back is Yojiya Cafe Ocha no Crepe Saga Arashiyama Store, the entrance on the right side of the central building is Yojiya Cafe Saga Arashiyama Store, and the building on the left is Yojiya Saga Arashiyama Store for oil blotting paper. You can also enter the store from the central passageway. The interior of the store does not allow photography, so I made my purchase and took photos on a bench outside. Yojiya's Matcha Sandwich Cookies (3 pieces) cost 600 yen. Originally a cosmetics store, Yojiya is well-known for its oil blotting paper. The oil blotting paper was first released in 1920, making it 102 years old this year. The first thing I bought from Yojiya was the oil blotting paper. The packaging of the cookies features a cute illustration of a Kyoto woman's face reflected in a hand mirror. The cookies have a crispy matcha-flavored dough sandwiched with flavorful Uji matcha cream. The slight bitterness of matcha and the moderate sweetness of matcha cream complement each other well, making it delicious. There was a bit of a wait for snacks on Sunday, but still several groups. I was hesitant to try the 50x version, so I opted for a regular chocolate mint parfait instead. However, it was disappointing as I couldn't taste the mint flavor at all... I could only taste the chocolate in it. I was shocked because I had high expectations. Another downside was that the handwashing area was outside, which was inconvenient.

I visited during sightseeing in Arashiyama! There was a wait of about 15 groups for dining in the restaurant, so I decided to order takeout because I didn't know how long it would take. Even for takeout, there seemed to be more waiting than expected, and I waited for about 15 minutes! The appearance is surreal and funny, and the taste is delicious! It has a creamy texture that melts in your mouth! It costs 300 yen, so it's a small size, but it was so delicious that I feel like I could easily eat a larger size too. ✨

A parfait with a unique twist. It included ice cream and mochi-like elements.
