I went with a friend because I wanted to eat delicious fish. It was amazing. They gave us hand warmers as a gift because it was cold that day, and I was touched by their thoughtfulness.

I finished my work at a client's place and used this restaurant for a celebration. I chose it because it was recommended by the client. Nasunoyoichi, Torihirabē Shōten, and Uoya Hirabē Shōten are sister stores. The atmosphere and appearance of the shops are similar. The atmosphere is nice, as it is a renovated old house. We entered from the post office side and didn't notice the shop until we passed it and turned back (-。-; The interior is divided into small private rooms, like a maze (lol). When going to the restroom, you have to check your room name or you won't be able to find your way back (lol). The service was quite good. It was busy, but the orders came quickly. You settle the bill in your room, so you don't have to wait in line at the register (^^) They even called a taxi for us and we could relax in the room until it arrived (^^) The food wasn't particularly cheap or delicious, but it was average for an izakaya. The Caesar salad with prosciutto was good, but a bit pricey at 750 yen. The seared bonito with chili oil was not bad, but I prefer it with katsuo vinegar. The yellowtail collar was delicious, perfectly seasoned! The nori tea-soaked rice was tasty, with salted octopus and a dashi broth. We also ordered tempura skewers, fried chicken cartilage, and fried chicken, but the seafood dishes were the highlight. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for a business lunch on a regular day. The parking lot is quite spacious, shared with a supermarket on the same premises. I felt a bit uneasy as I couldn't see beyond the door, but I entered. It's a bit of a hassle to take off your shoes, but it's a relief to be free from them even for a moment in this hot weather. I dined alone and was guided to a small, almost hidden, private room. The menu is surprisingly extensive. While the restaurant mainly focuses on seafood, they also offer dishes like fried chicken, hamburgers, and mixed fries. You can even choose four items from a selection of over 10 dishes to create your own customized lunch menu, although it's a bit on the pricey side (laughs). Each menu comes with a drink, which adds to the value. I decided to go for a fish-based lunch and chose the simmered mackerel when asked. After a short wait, it was served. The main dish, simmered mackerel, used a generous half portion. It was cooked in a rich, slightly sweet miso sauce, tender and flavorful. The set also included steamed egg custard, potato salad, red miso soup, and rice. The mackerel had no fishy taste, and the miso was quite to my liking. The potato salad had eggs and tasted homemade. The red miso soup had plenty of ingredients like tofu skin and seaweed, but I felt it could have been more refined. The half mackerel provided ample volume, and with the salad as the vegetable, the balance was perfect. I enjoyed a drink after the meal and left satisfied. Dining in a private room allows for a relaxed experience even when dining alone, which is quite nice. Also, the table payment system was convenient.

I used this restaurant for the second time, this time for a welcome party for my company. From the sign, it seems like a fish specialty restaurant, but they also have meat and vegetables. However, the fish is fresh and there are many types of dishes. The interior and exterior have a pure Japanese style with a calm atmosphere, and the tatami rooms are like sunken kotatsu. However, the back area is a bit narrow, so it may be a bit inconvenient for others when you need to get up. The dishes on the day were a Kagoshima pork shabu-shabu course (¥3,500 per person) which included appetizers, seasonal vegetables, and noodles for the finale. On weekdays and during lunch, there is a 20% discount on courses other than this one, but I am not sure if this is a year-round offer or for a limited time, so please check with the restaurant. Both the taste and portion were satisfying. It took a bit of time for the ordered dishes to arrive, perhaps because it was crowded that day. There is also a 2-hour all-you-can-drink course available.

We went on a Saturday night. It seemed to be a popular restaurant, as we couldn't get in without a reservation, so I recommend making one in advance. My husband and I were guided to a private room with a two-person counter. Each private room had a name, and ours was called "Osumi Strait." The staff checked the room temperature when we were seated and even offered a blanket if it was cold, which I found very thoughtful. The food, being a fish market, consisted of very fresh seafood dishes. The recommended dish of the day, yellowtail shabu-shabu, was delicious. There were also unique dishes like fried shark, offering a variety of fish dishes. Additionally, children under elementary school age received a complimentary soft drink, and adults could enjoy complimentary kelp tea, plum kelp tea, and brown rice tea, which was a nice touch. In a calm atmosphere, we enjoyed delicious food and left very satisfied.
