It is a restaurant near Ichijoji Station, along Manshuin-dori. The exterior is not very noticeable, but there are menu items displayed in front of the restaurant. I visited for lunch. The interior has tables spaced out nicely. The clientele is mostly locals, with few tourists. The service is good. The decor is plain, but the menu is affordable and extensive (prices include tax). There are two lunch sets (850 yen, 900 yen) and several other set meals on the blackboard menu (700 yen and up). The blackboard set meals seem to be generous in portion. In addition, there are set meals (550 yen and up), light meals (550 yen and up), udon/soba dishes (400 yen and up), and rice bowls (500 yen and up). Sets of rice bowls with noodles, and noodle dishes with sushi are also available. The items I ordered were as follows: The "udon" had round, medium-thin noodles and a light broth. It was a standard "udon". - Tempura udon (650 yen) with 2 shrimp tempura, 1 fish cake, seaweed, and green onion. - Sukeroku set (300 yen) with 3 sushi rolls, 2 inari sushi, and highland tofu and pickled radish. The sushi rolls contained rolled omelette, mitsuba parsley, simmered kanpyo gourd, simmered shiitake mushrooms. The inari sushi had lightly flavored skin and mixed rice filling. - Shippoku (500 yen) with 2 fish cakes, seaweed, simmered shiitake mushrooms, spinach, green onion, and wheat gluten. It may not be a restaurant featured in guidebooks, but the extensive menu is a plus. It's a good choice for a regular meal.
