The main purpose of getting off at Kurama-kami Station. Whenever I buy cookies in Kyoto, I always come here. They are very delicious and easy to get. A cookie specialty store that blends into non-touristy daily scenes. This area (Gosho-higashi) feels like the culture of Sakyo Ward is crossing the Kamogawa River and mixing with Kamigyo Ward.

During a break between my dentist appointment and a dance lesson, I had a quick lunch and chat. I didn't have anything prepared, but I had this. It's Halloween month, so I received cookies in a yellow pumpkin bucket, including vegetable cookies. The vegetable cookies were made with tofu skin, mugwort, purple sweet potato, mizuna, sweet potato, sesame, and white miso and kinako. It's gotten colder, but the room was warm with the sun shining through as I enjoyed the vegetable cookies. I could taste the multiple layers of sesame and the aroma of mugwort. The kinako was crispy and delicious. I couldn't identify the rest, but they were all crispy and well-baked. Thank you, Corisu, for the treat. As always, thank you for the souvenir. Please enjoy the princess-like feeling on the Kabocha (pumpkin) carriage again.

I stumbled upon a small, old-fashioned shop during my day trip food tour in Kyoto. The display at the left-hand side of the door caught my eye with its cute cookies and signs. Inside, the shop had a sweet aroma, and a large French-style shelf displayed cookie tins. Although the cute cookie tins were sold out, there were plenty of chiffon cakes in the showcase. The cookies seemed to have unique ingredients like yuba and white miso, which piqued my interest. I ended up buying the Kyoto yuba cookie. When I tried it at home, it was different from what I expected - crunchy instead of moist, with a subtle sweetness that lingered. It was delicious. Thank you.

A cute shop with a fairytale-like atmosphere in Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto. They have various types of cookies lined up, making it fun to choose. Rice cookie for 432 yen is crunchy with a strong sweetness. Despite its simple ingredients that can be made at home, it has a well-balanced taste and is delicious. White miso cookie for 378 yen is made with wheat flour instead of rice flour, so it has a different texture, being more moist. With the addition of Japanese sugar and white miso, it gives off a cheese-like fermented food vibe, making it easy to eat. Unfortunately, the chiffon cake is only available for reserved orders and is sold out. This makes me even more curious to try it.

It's a time-shifted post. I was stood up by LAND and on my way back, I saw this place and decided to drop by. They mainly sell cookies, but they also have chiffon cakes. I tried the "Galette" for 200 yen, which is described as a soft cookie with the distinctive taste of butter from France. It's actually a separate item from Galette. The ingredients include coffee, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a reasonable price. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious about the pastry shop Pongashi located east of the Arakamiguchi intersection in front of the Legal Affairs Bureau. I saw a sign for Miyama Milk Soft Serve ice cream, so I decided to go in and try it. The soft serve was rich and delicious, but what really stood out was the cookie on top - it was incredibly tasty. I couldn't resist and ended up getting various cookies to go as well!

When I visited the LAND store in Kyoto, I wandered around a bit and stumbled upon the "Bonkakyo Kyoto Main Store." I decided to stop by and found a variety of cookie sets like the one shown in the picture. I don't usually eat cookies, but these were quite delicious. After having just one or two, they seemed to disappear in no time. It was a tasty treat. Thank you.

The shop next to my house offers fluffy and delicious treats that never fail to make me happy. They have seasonal limited edition flavors, so you never get bored. They are perfect for gifts or souvenirs, and the price is around 240 yen per piece, which is great. I bought about 10 as gifts this time and everyone loved how fluffy they were. In March, they are selling a limited edition cherry blossom chiffon cake.

As I walked towards Salchicha Deli, I came across several interesting shops. One of them was a cookie specialty store. The store had a wide variety of cookies lined up, with a large bag of flour placed in the corner for decoration. They also had unique flavors like white miso, which I bought along with my wife's favorite soba cookie. I haven't tried the white miso cookie yet, but the soba cookie, made without additives or preservatives, was delicious. The total bill came to 777 yen, making it a memorable experience.

Next to my house is a bakery called POUKA. The smell of freshly baked chiffon cake always wafts out of the entrance, tempting me every time. This time, I couldn't resist and bought 23 chiffon cakes for a delivery, plus some for my own family. They were selling a spring-themed Sakura chiffon cake, so I got that along with some Sakura cookies. The chiffon cake from POUKA is known for its fluffy texture, and the gentle scent of Sakura makes me feel happy. The Sakura cookies are shaped like cherry blossoms, making them look adorable. It's a great idea to buy some snacks here and go flower viewing!

Typhoon No. 24 was approaching, so I planned to stay at home in the afternoon. I decided to stock up on snacks from this shop next to my house. They were selling a Halloween menu with pumpkin chiffon cake, so I bought that along with Earl Grey chiffon cake. Both cakes were fluffy and delicious as always, making me feel happy. The pumpkin cake was subtly sweet, while the Earl Grey had a rich flavor of tea leaves. I enjoyed them as a dessert after my meal!

The cookie had a pretty ordinary taste. ・Kyoto ginseng cookie: 450 yen ◆I am posting my dining out records that I have taken in Kansai and other places in a casual manner. I visited a flower shop called "Griot" and on my way back, I came across a shining sign in the dark. A cookie specialty store!? I didn't notice it before! In Kobe, there are such shops, but I didn't know there was one in Kyoto too! The shop looked bright from the outside, with several people holding baskets and looking happy. I decided to go in and was amazed by the variety of cookies! They were all so lovely that I had a hard time choosing. The shop uses domestic wheat instead of imported wheat, and only uses butter without margarine or shortening. They do not use baking powder, preservatives, or artificial coloring. It's safe to eat, and the cookies are so cute and heartwarming. In the end, I got plain and assorted mix cookies. The plain ones had a gentle taste, like homemade cookies, not too sweet, very relaxing and easy to eat. The mix cookies were all great, with a satisfying crunch and texture. They really brought out the flavors of each ingredient. I wish I had grown up eating these cookies and strolling along the Kamo River. They also had cakes, which I'll look forward to trying next time. Thank you for the delicious treats!

For souvenirs, the flavors are a fun surprise when you return to Tokyo. This time, all the cookies were hard, not soft. Here are my personal impressions: Plain ¥378 (tax included) → The best one. White miso ¥378 (tax included) → Slightly miso-flavored. Cheese ¥453 (tax included) → Faint cheese taste, light. Kyoto yuba ¥378 (tax included) → Can you taste it? Brown sugar ¥399 (tax included) → Hmm... Soba ¥399 (tax included) → Tastes like soba cookies. Thank you for the meal.
