I keep coming back here. Happy hour is a great deal. The food is delicious, but there aren't too many options so you might get bored. However, I always have the fish and chips. It's cash on, so you can eat and drink at your own pace without worrying. It's really relaxing and I like it.

HUB near Kyoto Station is my go-to place for a quick taste of overseas atmosphere with HUB beer and fish & chips. I often stop by alone and enjoy the cozy vibe. The staff members are wonderful and provide excellent service.

It rained on and off in the morning, but by afternoon it was sunny and clear. I went to HUB, where you can smoke on the open terrace. Since I had already eaten lunch, I ordered something light. I got the HUB Pink Dragon cocktail for myself to enjoy and a bite of Fish & Chips to share. My friend ordered a hot cafe au lait. The alcohol content in the cocktails is quite low, so if you want to get a good buzz, beer might be a better option in terms of cost-effectiveness. Smoking is not allowed inside the restaurant, but there is a designated smoking area outside where customers and non-customers can smoke. It's rare to find a place where you can openly smoke like this in Kyoto, where smoking on the streets can result in a 1000 yen fine. Across the street, there is a cafe where smoking is allowed inside, and it's always full there.

Today is... Pi Day! (3.14=π=pie) I enjoyed eating pie as usual~ The curry was okay, but the sinewy part of the meat was a bit tough due to insufficient cooking time. The crunchy fried onions were a highlight. I didn't know that there weren't many cocktail or snack options before 4 o'clock, but overall, I had a satisfying meal.

The roast beef was even more delicious than expected! It came with mashed potatoes and a generous serving of horseradish, which was a nice touch. The mustard and slightly tangy radish aroma added a refreshing taste, giving it an authentic British flavor. Mixing it with soy sauce (even though it's not Worcestershire sauce) on a small plate is also a good idea. The pasty was as delicious as ever. Lastly, I ordered the honey-glazed blue cheese and pastry dish before last order, and it was surprisingly tasty! I only ordered one IPA, although I originally planned to have whiskey with the cheese snack. But, I'm not good with alcohol, so one drink is enough for me.

In the world of Puffs... The British Shop! The location is correct in the text, but the map is wrong so please be careful. It is located to the west of Yodobashi Camera, on the south side. It's been a while since I had fish and chips! It was very nostalgic and satisfying, although it was a bit disappointing that the mint sauce was missing and ketchup was served instead. However, the barley vinegar (or beer vinegar...) that came with it, along with a sprig of parsley that surprisingly added a strong flavor to the ketchup, made it interesting and I have no complaints. I also tried their unique pastry, which was like a meat pie with stew inside. As expected, the filling was a soft lump of potatoes and a hint of meat, along with sweet carrots and onions. Although this dish is not uniquely delicious, the vinegar infused in the pie gave it a decent and distinctive taste. The crispy outer part of the pastry was perfect. The contrasting textures on both sides were amazing! By the way, vinegar was also used in this dish, and its unique smell could be detected from the cross-section. As for drinks, they had half-pint glasses which was perfect for someone like me who enjoys alcohol but can't drink much. The ale was delicious. I hadn't had cider in a long time, but suddenly felt like drinking it, and when I did, it was just average.

This was my fourth visit here. It's always crowded, so I'll just make notes for myself as usual. The fruit-infused mojito was okay, but as a fan of sweet drinks, I found this mojito to be lacking in sweetness. The cocktail with strawberry milk, lychee, and rose was good, but the excessive amount of whipped cream on top was unnecessary. The blue cheese pie with honey drizzle was excellent. The fish and chips were not as crispy as usual and the flavor was a bit bland. I'll try the chicken and chips next time. The anchovy cabbage dish was delicious as always. The restaurant is busy, especially on Fridays from 10:30 pm to midnight. It can get a bit noisy, so I prefer coming on weekdays. The comfortable sofa seats that used to be smoking areas have now been converted to non-smoking areas, thanks to the restaurant for that. I also appreciate the coupons from the membership program today.

I don't go to these kinds of places often, so I feel a bit awkward (^_^;) When I go to the counter to order, depending on where my table is, I sometimes have to ask the person at the entrance to move out of the way, which is quite a hassle. On Friday at 10:30, I continued my regular visits to HUB Kyoto Yodobashi store. It's conveniently located and easy to use. I planned to order a Blue Moon after studying the menu, but couldn't find it, so I ended up ordering a Hoegaarden Pint instead. The Hoegaarden White cost 1,000 yen and the Fish & Chips in small size cost 400 yen. The beer was quickly poured for me, so I took it to my seat. The pint was large as usual. It's a fruity beer with a gentle wheat flavor packed in. The spice accent was pleasant and I could drink it all day. It was quite crowded, maybe because it was Bonus Day on Friday. I hope for a day when this bustling atmosphere becomes comfortable. The Fish & Chips that arrived later had a generous portion, so the small size was enough. There was a moment of chaos when an older man at a nearby table accidentally spilled his food and drink, causing a brief commotion, but the staff handled it well. I look forward to trying a beer I haven't had before next time. I would like to come back when it's less busy. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant in October 2020 for a night out. Since I couldn't go to England because of the pandemic, I ordered Fish & Chips for 650 yen and Guinness for 530 yen. I paid at the counter when I ordered. The Fish & Chips tasted better than the ones I had in England. The Guinness was also delicious.

A while ago, before the resurgence of COVID, I went to a restaurant with a friend in October. Before entering, we had our temperature checked, sanitized our hands with alcohol, and were required to wear masks except when seated. The place was quite busy. I had a beer and then tried an Absinthe cocktail. It was delicious because the ice was sweet. They apparently use fruit ice candy in it. I didn't know that ice could be sweet, so I was curious about the original taste of Absinthe.

I revisited HUB at Yodobashi in Kyoto every day. Today, I had a large gin and tonic, a large HUB gin lime, Bombay Sapphire on the rocks, and olives for snacks. The olives were notably large. I didn't ask the staff, but I wonder if they are from Shodoshima. They were even bigger than quail eggs, fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. And when paired with Bombay Sapphire, it felt like a martini! The mango juice was also very rich and cost-effective at 250 yen including tax. Thank you for allowing me to use your services daily. The area in front of the store is a smoking area in the center of Kyoto (MAP image attached), which allowed me to relax. I will definitely visit again when I come back to Kyoto. Visited Hub located on the southwest corner of the first floor of Yodobashi Camera next to Kyoto Tower at Kyoto Shichijo-guchi for an apéritif before dinner. Originally wanted to order a highball, but when I asked about the brands available, I found out they had Irish Bushmills so I went with that. I decided to have it on the rocks, ordering a 45cc serving. The place offers 30cc and 45cc options instead of single or double. Enjoyed the drink and then ordered a glass of Cava, which was freshly opened. Lucky! The restaurant is non-smoking, but there is a smoking area at the back on the west side with a door that can be opened and closed, making it convenient for smokers. Despite the lack of people due to the impact of COVID-19 in Kyoto, I hope the restaurant continues to operate. We will try to support as much as possible, so keep up the good work. This is a pub located on the first floor of Yodobashi Camera in front of Kyoto Station. I used it to pass the time between lunch and checking into my hotel. The Yodobashi Camera building has various tenants such as apparel and hobbies, giving it a department store-like atmosphere. This time, I visited HUB located at the west end of the first floor. The weather was nice, so I wanted to enjoy a drink on the open terrace, but there was a smoking area right in front of me and the purple smoke was overwhelming, so I had to go inside. The place was empty due to the impact of COVID-19. There were only a few salarymen enjoying coffee after lunch. I ordered a HUB Ale and half portion of Fish & Chips and enjoyed them at a bright table by the window, watching people pass by on the street. It was a perfect time when the pint glass was empty, so it was a satisfying experience.

Today, I went for a lunch drink with my colleagues from work. Even though I only slept for 3 hours due to working the night shift, I am feeling energetic. I arrived a little early, so I started with a beer. I had a half pint of Heineken for 350 yen. Rather than waiting with coffee, I decided to have a beer. After relaxing for about 20 minutes, I headed to the meeting spot.
