I listened to a sermon at "Suzumushi Temple" starting at 9 am. Before that, I had breakfast at a cafe near the temple. The area around Matsuo Taisha Station is a quiet residential area with almost no shops, especially ones open early in the morning. However, I found a lovely cafe. When I entered, I was surrounded by antiques, like a shop. The owner, an elderly lady, served me the Morning Set B for 730 yen. It included crispy and fluffy toast, potato salad, scrambled eggs, and freshly brewed coffee with a nice morning aroma. The gentle Kyoto dialect spoken by the lady was soothing to the ears. Many coffee tickets with names on them were pinned to the wall. It seems like a coffee shop loved by the locals. After satisfying my hunger, I headed to Suzumushi Temple.

On the way from Matsuo Taisha Station to Suzumushi Temple, there was a shop that caught my attention. Since I wanted to have some coffee in the morning, I was happy to stumble upon this shop. The entrance was a bit tricky to figure out, but once inside, the retro atmosphere with a lot of plants created a calming vibe. I ordered a hot coffee to go, which was hand-dripped for me. The wait was enjoyable as I looked around the shop. The coffee had a light body, normal acidity, and a slight bitterness. It was more on the milder side.
