"Creamy fresh bread. The bread itself is slightly sweet, so it is delicious on its own. It has a gentle flavor that is hard to describe. Whether baked or eaten as is, with butter or jam, it goes well with any accompaniment. A bread that makes you want to come back for more."

I have traveled far and wide in search of delicious bread, trying various options along the way, including high-end ones. The bread at this particular shop is exceptionally tasty and has become my favorite. I love cheese, so I opted for a rich cheese bread. The combination of cheese and bacon was delicious, although the salt content was a bit concerning.

In my Kyoto morning, it's always La Pan. This time, my mom prepared it for me again. In addition to the usual bread, there was also bacon and cheese bread. It's delicious to eat as it is, but I wanted to put butter on it, so I toasted it. The bacon and cheese bread has bacon and cheese mixed inside, and it's really tasty! The normal bread is also perfect with butter! It's good to eat it as it is, but toasting it until crispy is also very delicious! Thank you for the meal!

In Kyoto, when it comes to mornings, it's all about Lapin's shokupan. Eating plain shokupan can get boring if you have it all the time, but having it occasionally is really delicious! I usually eat it as it is, but this morning I felt like toasting it. First, I spread some butter on it and toasted it. Then, I added more butter on the toasted bread. This extra butter is the key! It may seem like it would ruin the taste of the plain shokupan, but it's so tasty! I brewed some delicious coffee and had the most luxurious morning ever (^_^)v

When it comes to breakfast in Kyoto, it has to be La Pan's shokupan! While there was a trend of eating raw shokupan for a while, this is my favorite. It's so soft and fluffy, and not just that, it has a slightly sweet and delicious flavor. As for butter, who needs it? Just eating it as it is brings out the deliciousness.

Fluffy bread from Rapan-san ^ ^ I had it after a long time. It seems they are available until the end of this month. The "Azuki Walnut Raw Bread" has plenty of azuki beans and walnuts kneaded in, with a nice balance of sweetness from the azuki beans. It's a bit more expensive than normal bread, but it's worth it when you eat it. Lightly toast it until the inside is fluffy and the outside is crispy. If you happen to be nearby before the end of this month, be sure to try it.

After having lunch at "Mansugata-ya" in Demachiyanagi, I took a stroll nearby and happened to pass by "La Pan." I love their "high-class creamy shokupan" and have bought it several times at their Osaka store, but this time I found the "Bacon Cheese shokupan" that I had never been able to buy before. Of course, I bought a 1kg loaf. - Bacon Cheese shokupan (1kg) 880 yen (description from the website) Crisply baked bacon bits, concentrated flavor block bacon, the salty taste of two types of fragrant bacon, the richness of cheese, and a hint of black pepper's stimulating kick all match the slight sweetness. The deliciousness of the dough is already known, so when you add bacon and cheese, it's a game-changer. The next morning, I enjoyed it right away. First, I tried it as is. It seems that the sweetness of the dough stands out more when eaten raw. This is delicious on its own, but personally, I prefer it toasted. When toasted, the flavors of bacon and cheese are emphasized, and the sweet dough's French toast-like sweetness pairs even better. (Try adding extra black pepper and honey for a flavor change.) I had expected it, but it was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Lapan is a famous high-end bread shop that has locations in Tokyo and nationwide. I purchased bread from one of their two stores in Kyoto, specifically the one in Demachiyanagi. The bread looked very appetizing, with a creamy white color that made it stand out from regular bread. When I tried it, it was soft and moist, with a strong flavor of fresh cream. Even my child enjoyed it and ate it eagerly! It was a big hit for us, and I plan to buy more at the Sanjo store next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The Pan Series in Kyoto at Lapan in Demachiyanagi. Although it is a bread specialty shop, the bread here is a bit different from the popular bread shops lately. It is fluffy and sweet, made with whipped cream and honey. It is perfect for those who like sweeter bread, like children. It is delicious to eat as it is or toasted with lots of butter. There are many delicious options and it was a fun experience. The variety near Demachi Shopping Street is amazing and delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Located just a few minutes' walk from Demachiyanagi Station on the Keihan line, this bakery is right near "Demachi Futaba" store. I was drawn in by the trend of high-end shokupan (Japanese bread) that I've been seeing a lot lately, so I decided to stop by. I visited on a weekday evening at 4:30 PM and it was not crowded. They offer three sizes to choose from: 1 loaf, 1.5 loaves, and 2 loaves, and I opted for the middle size, 1.5 loaves, which cost 660 yen. The bread was incredibly soft and fluffy, so much so that it was hard to cut straight through due to its fluffiness. Among all the high-end shokupan I've tried, this one had the most elasticity and the fluffiest texture. It has a subtle sweetness to it. While it's recommended to eat it as is, I personally prefer it toasted.

Pure white premium shokupan bread ✨ When I purchased it, the first thing that caught my eye was the stylish piano keyboard paper bag, which is a fresh design! I first tried it as it is. It is incredibly soft and has a perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture, with an elegant and delicious creaminess!! Oh my, I just couldn't stop eating because it was so delicious. The next day, I tried toasting it in a toaster! The texture and flavor of the pure white shokupan bread changed drastically when toasted! I enjoyed the changes in the individual ingredients through both the original form and the toasted form! Despite being pure white, it looks beautiful and well-shaped! You can see the care and craftsmanship put into making each piece by the artisans reflected in the taste and appearance. In the fiercely competitive bread market in Kyoto, this premium shokupan bread is the best in terms of taste and beauty. It is worth more than the price. I highly recommend it! Please try it for yourself! This was a review by Jiiji on Tabelog.

The high-end shokupan trend is still going strong (*σ´∀`)σ I've visited about 8 different stores so far, both major and minor ones. Among them, my current favorite is the shokupan from LA・PAN (*´﹃`*) It's fluffy, moist, with a thin and soft crust that has a strong milky flavor. It's almost reaching the level of a pastry... You can choose from 1 loaf for 440 yen, 1.5 loaves for 660 yen, or 2 loaves for 880 yen, which is so convenient (°ㅂ° ) The paper bag is also stylish and cute, making it a great gift idea♪

I happened to pass by the high-end bread shop that I had seen on TV a while ago when I was in Demachiyanagi. I was able to sample the bread outside the store and confirm the taste before purchasing. The lightly colored bread here is a fluffy and milky loaf with a rabbit mark baked on it. It is called "Creamy Raw Bread" and does not use eggs or yeast food. While many bread specialty shops sell 2-pound loaves, this shop offers a choice of sizes: S (1 pound), M (1.5 pounds), and L (2 pounds), which is nice. I would like to purchase it again if I have the chance.

When it comes to breakfast in Kyoto, this place is becoming the go-to spot. It used to be a different bakery, but our family from Ibaraki said it was so delicious! Since then, my mother-in-law always prepares bread from here for us. This time, we also had bread that my niece baked. Surprisingly, it was quite tasty! She may not think she can do much, but she can cook quite well (laughs). Now, the bread. I forgot to take a picture when eating it, so here is a photo of the bread still in its plastic wrap (oops). It's thick-cut bread, but still as fluffy as ever. It's delicious as always. I'm grateful to my mother-in-law for always preparing our favorite foods.

When you come to Kyoto, you can't miss this bread. It's sweet and fluffy even without anything on it. Eating this makes you feel like you've really arrived in Kyoto. I'm happy to have delicious bread every morning.

High-quality artisan bread (o^^o) Specialty bread shops are becoming more popular. It is located just north of the Kawaramachi Imadegawa intersection on the right side. As far as I know, this is the only store in Kyoto. They offer three sizes: S size 1 loaf @440 yen, M size, and L size 2 loaves @880 yen. They have boxes for the L size, which make for a nice gift. The paper bag packaging has a cute design. The expiration date is 4 days, and if you eat it fresh, it's best within 1-2 days. I sliced it, wrapped it in plastic wrap, and microwaved it later, and it was just as delicious - fluffy, soft, and with a nice milk and wheat aroma. They use fresh cream and honey. They also sell a special bread knife. Be careful when cutting at home as it's soft and can get squished. Recently, there are many high-end bread shops in Kyoto, but personally, I prefer this one. If you like sweeter bread, I recommend La Pan's bread. It was delicious both toasted and as is, but I preferred it as is. Every time I go, I end up buying some for home and as gifts for bread lovers. It's sure to be appreciated♡

Good morning! It's Kyoto! When it comes to Kyoto mornings, it's all about La Pan's bread that I've been obsessed with lately. I arrived in Kyoto at 3 am this morning. I took a bath, had a beer, and went to bed at 4:30. I woke up at 8 am to use the bathroom, and then I got hungry and couldn't sleep anymore. So, I waited for everyone to wake up and now I'm eating bread. It's just so soft and sweet. I also tried it with butter this time, and it's still delicious! Delicious bread is delicious no matter what you do. I'm hooked for sure.

This is also a new bakery specializing in shokupan (Japanese milk bread) in Kyoto. While there are a few stores in Tokyo and Osaka, this is the only one in Kyoto. It is easy to find as it faces the street, but it may not be convenient to stop by as it is not very close to major stations. Parking is also a bit scarce unless you go a little off the main road. However, the recent luxury shokupan boom seems to have calmed down a bit, so you can usually walk in without a reservation and still buy bread, which is convenient. On this day, even though it was a holiday afternoon, I was able to purchase without any issues. This bakery offers a variety of bread sizes that are not commonly found in other stores: Small size (1 loaf) 440 yen, Medium size (1.5 loaves) 660 yen, Large size (2 loaves) 880 yen. Usually, smaller sizes tend to be more expensive in these cases, but not here! This is very much appreciated, making it easier to buy even a small amount. This time, I purchased the Medium size for 660 yen. "Luxury Creamy Shokupan" with a cute rabbit stamp. Even though it is 1.5 loaves, it is not sliced from a 2-loaf Large size, but baked as a Medium size. It is noticeably sweet for a luxury shokupan, with a strong sweetness that hits your mouth first. The bread is moist and sweet, made with plenty of honey and cream. The sweetness is so pronounced that you don't need anything else to enjoy it. This bread is perfect for those who enjoy sweet shokupan or for children. It is rare to find a store that sells bread by the loaf in a shokupan specialty shop, so it's convenient for locals to stop by frequently. Shokupan is best enjoyed on the day of purchase or the next day, so it's worth visiting often! By the way, the bottom of the paper bag has a cute design of piano keys.

In Kyoto, mornings always start with this ( ^ω^ ) The bread is delicious even when toasted, and my mother-in-law likes to eat it with butter, but I think it's best eaten plain. It's so soft and sweet, it feels like a waste to add anything extra. It's really delicious ( ^ω^ ) It feels like a good day is about to begin♫

We arrived in Kyoto to visit my wife's family. We usually come here every summer and winter, but this time our son couldn't come due to entrance exam studies (our daughter managed to come though). We took advantage of our son and daughter's spring break to visit. We left around 11pm and arrived this morning, and I must say, I'm feeling my age. We had to take 3 breaks on the highway due to lack of stamina. Anyway, we were greeted by this bread that we fell in love with during our winter visit. It's delicious even without any spread! So sweet and tasty, it's like eating a dessert. It's not often you can feel this happy just from eating bread. Now that our stomachs are full, it's time for a nap.
