On this day, I stayed at Fukuchiyama. I stayed at Sunroute, which is about a three-minute walk from Fukuchiyama Station. I often stay at Sunroute when I'm on a business trip. They all have the same quality, so I feel relieved. In the hotel lobby, there is a free coffee maker for guests. It's nice to take the coffee to the room to relax in the evening or after breakfast. The breakfast is not extravagant, but it has a sufficient buffet menu. On this day, there was miso soup, white rice, natto, and a little side dish. The room was clean and satisfying. I always use this hotel when I have a drinking party in Fukuchiyama City. It's just a short walk from Fukuchiyama Station North Exit. It is located in the city center, so you can walk to various drinking spots. Since it is still relatively new, the facilities and rooms are clean. The bed is a large double size, so you can relax comfortably. This time, I stayed with breakfast included. You can choose between Western and Japanese set meals. It is a semi-buffet, with not only the main set but also side dishes, salad, cornflakes, hot tofu, etc. You can have unlimited refills of these items! In addition, rice, miso soup, soft drinks, and desserts are also all-you-can-eat and drink! It's incredibly generous! The meal is so substantial that you might mistake it for lunch...or even more. I chose the Japanese set meal this time. The main dish was simmered flounder, which was well-seasoned. The hot tofu is great for calming your stomach after drinking. The namul (Korean seasoned vegetables) is delicious. The simmered dish is also tasty. The rice here is delicious! It has a good stickiness, sweetness, and aroma! Looking at the elevator pop-up, it seems that the rice and vegetables are from Fukuchiyama. I see, they are particular about their ingredients. However, the price exceeding 1000 yen is a bit painful. Currently, they seem to offer it in the 700 yen range as part of a campaign. If you have a hearty breakfast here, you might be fine with a light lunch. It seems that they also serve lunch in the restaurant. I often check the hotel's Facebook page, and the lunch announcements...look so fun. (laughs) I would like to try their lunch sometime.
