A restaurant in Kyoto where you can enjoy Okinawan cuisine♡ There are many foreign customers and the atmosphere is tropical and nice! The avocado and yuba sashimi was delicious - there were many other tasty dishes but I was too busy eating to take photos. I highly recommend the shikwasa calpis and hibiscus calpis♡ The Senbero set is a great deal with three glasses of awamori and mimigar. I want to try their lunch menu next time. It was lucky that they accepted PayPay!

It is located about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto University. The shop plays Okinawa~Asian music as its name suggests. I ordered the Goya Champuru set. I was full after eating plenty of Champuru. I want to go there again.

Okinawa soba lunch set for 950 yen next to curry. The interior of the restaurant also gives off an Okinawa vibe and the Okinawa soba had a summery feel to it. The pork slices were tender and delicious.

The outlets and menu are interesting. The staff were a bit unfriendly. It's a shame they didn't have sea grapes or mozuku vinegar. It seems they have tempura. The tea was unusual and good!

The mozuku tempura is delicious. The value for money might be a bit poor.

After a long time, I went to Goya-san and had the Goya Champuru lunch set. I like the miso soup here. It seems the seasoning is lighter than before. I am satisfied with the meal.

I had some business to attend to around Kumano Shrine, so I stopped by the handmade market before heading to this place at the foot of Yoshida Mountain along Imadegawa Street. This area is lined with unique dining establishments. Among them is a restaurant affiliated with an Okinawan izakaya in Kiyamachi Gojo, which also serves lunch. I was seated at a table on the second floor, which is non-smoking and mainly consists of sofa seats. The lunch menu is extensive, offering dishes such as taco rice, two types of champuru, Okinawan soba, and curry. I chose the seasonal "Komatsuna Champuru set meal." The rice, a blend of Fushimi Hikari rice from Fushimi and black purple rice from Ishigaki Island, was deliciously chewy. Since bitter melon is not available in winter, the champuru featured komatsuna and island tofu with a sprinkle of island chili pepper. The miso soup with mozuku seaweed added a nice salty touch. I finished with a choice of iced turmeric tea as a set drink. It was a satisfying lunch that filled me up. The interior has an Asian-chic atmosphere rather than a strictly Okinawan style, with Calimoc 60 sofas. You can see Yoshida Mountain from the windows. The staff is energetic and the place is full of ambiance. It's a great spot for when you want to get your fill of vegetables.

This is a restaurant serving Okinawan cuisine located on Imadegawa Street. They also offer vegan options. I went for lunch twice, the first time I had the Nasi Champuru set meal, which is a dish with various side dishes around the rice. The second time, I had the Goya Champuru set meal, which was very filling with a lot of rice and Goya Champuru. The Goya was a bit crunchy as it wasn't cooked thoroughly, but the black rice from Okinawa used in the meal and the mozuku seaweed miso soup added a nice touch. The dessert options included vegan choices, and I tried the banana tart which was surprisingly delicious for a vegan dessert. They offer a variety of teas with explanations of their effects and benefits. There are black sugar candies on the table for snacking, which are quite addictive. In the evenings, the restaurant turns into an Okinawan-style izakaya. There is seating on the second floor as well, which is non-smoking. The cozy sofa seating allows for a relaxing dining experience. The flavors are quite standard, but it's a good spot when you suddenly crave Goya Champuru. It might also be a good choice for hungry men who want to eat a lot. Thank you for the meal.

When you go east at the intersection with a million crossings, you will notice Goya-san with a tropical exterior. The weather was nice, so I wanted to experience a sense of a foreign country and decided to go in. The staff at the shop were also from Thailand, adding to the atmosphere. The first floor was a smoking area and was fully booked, so I went to the non-smoking area on the second floor. The second floor had two 4-person table seats and two sofa seats. Every corner had a calming atmosphere. Perhaps because of the open space, there were many foreign customers. I always feel unsatisfied with just Okinawan cuisine, but here they also have Thai dishes, which made me happy. The menu is extensive, making it hard to decide. It's a cozy place where you can casually visit.

I went to Asian Chample Foods Goya for the first time in a year and five months. I had the Goya Champuru set meal (880 yen), Hibiscus Calpis (170 yen), and Vegan Ice Cream (470 yen). The Vegan Ice Cream (purple sweet potato and Okinawa black sugar veggie ice cream with fruit sauce) was too rich for my taste. On 11/17, I was craving Okinawa soba, so I went to Asian Chample Foods Goya on Imadegawa Street. I had the Okinawa soba set (850 yen) and the drink set for an additional 150 yen, choosing Sanpin tea. I also tried the Beaujolais Nouveau (700 yen) and enjoyed it, so I would like to visit again.

It was lunch. There was no parking lot, so I parked in front and entered, feeling a little uneasy. I looked at the menu and chose the Goya Champuru set meal from about four options. It arrived in about 10 minutes after ordering. It's a common feeling, but quite good and delicious. It's even better when you sprinkle island chili pepper on it. I chose Sanpincha for the drink set, but it was a bit weak. I also ordered sea grapes as a side menu, and the popping texture is the best.

Located a short distance west of Shirakawa Imadegawa, this cafe restaurant serves Okinawan cuisine. It's rare to find a place where you can enjoy authentic Okinawan dishes in a casual setting. I often visit for lunch because they offer a variety of famous Okinawan dishes for under 1000 yen, and the quality is high. The portion sizes are quite generous, which may be a bit much for women. The atmosphere is stylish yet user-friendly, especially the second floor with cozy sofa seats. It's a great place to relax after a meal, maybe with a cup of coffee. I often find myself lingering for an hour or so chatting on the sofa seats. The brown sugar sweets on the tables are delicious and addictive. Overall, it's a rare find to enjoy Okinawan cuisine in a laid-back atmosphere.
