The neighboring okonomiyaki restaurant has been around for a while, but this place called "Kita" used to be a shoe store or something like that... I didn't even notice when it became a restaurant. The shutter is always closed during the day, so it's not very noticeable. I heard that there is a stylish okonomiyaki restaurant here, so I decided to go. I made a reservation over the phone for a weekday before the holiday, and they said I could sit at the counter. The second floor and the back tatami room were already full. There were even reserved signs on two tables. It's incredibly popular. As I sat at the counter, the master was busy cooking something. It was steak. Apparently, it's part of the course. They also served a unique steak, calming salad, thin grilled meat, grilled tofu, special okonomiyaki, doteyaki, vanilla ice cream, and two oolong teas. They said there was one more serving of doteyaki left, so of course, I had it. I couldn't finish the special okonomiyaki, but I managed to finish everything else. While I was eating, two more people sat at the counter, and then two more after that. The popularity is amazing. The staff consisted of two young girls, one young man, and a serious-looking master. The master was so busy cooking because it was a busy time. The restaurant was clean. The chairs at the counter were a bit high. The restroom was old. The sink and toilet were new, though. I don't know what the second floor looks like. The portion size for one person seemed to be generally large. With this amount, you can't try many different types of okonomiyaki. Maybe they offer half sizes for regular customers. It was mentioned on Tabelog that they accept credit cards, but I couldn't use mine. I regret not being able to try the special tonpei and yakisoba. I will definitely go back. All this food for 4,850 yen. It's cheap. Too cheap. It was delicious. I was defeated by the food. Thank you for the meal.
