I was so excited to go to So-da Kyoto this time because I couldn't wait to go. By the way, the Italian restaurant next door that we had for lunch that day was a no-go on Tabelog.

Kyoto BAR!! Discovered a BAR on Google Maps!! When you climb the stairs, you enter a different world. There are counter seats, swing seats, and standing space, but it's always crowded!! The bartenders and staff all wear black hats, and the men have beards too. They finish making cocktails right in front of you, and I was so excited by their unique atmosphere and presentation!! There was no cover charge, and I was planning to leave after one drink, but I couldn't resist ordering another!! I had two drinks and it cost 3,500 yen!! I've been to many bars, but this one might be in my top 5 favorites.

I went with a friend who speaks English, so there were no issues, but being able to speak English could help you interact with people from different countries and make the experience even more enjoyable!

I am the head of the lunch exploration team. This time, I visited the Les Camotoire Bar in the Kawaramachi area of Kyoto. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a brick-style building. As I climbed the stairs, I was greeted by an incredible world. It felt like being in a foreign country, a magical movie-like atmosphere. The staff were all from Europe. I ordered a Smoky Old Fashioned cocktail. They made it while creating a billowing smoke with cherry wood chips. It was fun to watch! When I tilted the glass with the smoke, I could smell the smoky aroma and taste the whiskey strongly. Since it was early, there were seats available, but by the time I left, the place was packed with people. The customers were mostly foreigners. There was no trace of Kyoto's traditional atmosphere, but it was a total escape from the ordinary. Thank you for the meal!
