I had lunch in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture. The restaurant is located on the south side of Chiyogawa Station, along the national highway where Sukiya, McDonald's, and Komeda Coffee are lined up. The building has a rotating sushi festival sign and a white sign above the entrance that says "Kameoka Seasonal Rotating Sushi Festival." I visited a rotating sushi restaurant in Kameoka City, which is close to Kyoto City. The interior of the restaurant has a counter and booths, and you order using a touch panel system. The sushi is mostly priced at a uniform rate of 110 yen per plate, similar to Kura Sushi or Sushiro. In addition to the touch panel, there is also a large menu list categorized by red meat, white meat, shrimp, crab, squid, shellfish, octopus, eel, conger eel, and egg, making it very easy to read and a well-thought-out service. I ordered sardine, fatty tuna salmon, tsubugai shellfish, eel, and raw tuna. The sardine had a large piece of fish, the fatty tuna salmon was fatty, and the tsubugai shellfish had a crunchy texture. In Tokyo's rotating sushi restaurants, conger eel is a staple, but eel is not often seen, so it is a popular choice in Kansai. Just like conger eel, eel goes well with sweet sauce. The raw tuna is lean, so there is hardly any fat, but I could taste the deliciousness of the tuna. The majority of the customers seemed to be locals, including people on their way to work, women with children, and elderly couples. Since there were quite a few people during lunchtime on weekdays, it seemed to be a popular rotating sushi restaurant locally. As it is a rotating sushi restaurant with a uniform price of 110 yen, the sushi rice is small and depending on the type, the toppings may also be small, but with a wide variety of menu options and high-end toppings such as sea urchin and red shrimp, I thought it was cost-effective. It is a rotating sushi restaurant where families with hungry children can feel at ease. I had never heard of the name "Rotating Sushi Festival," so when I looked at the restaurant's page on the Tabelog website, I found out that the headquarters is located in Kagawa Prefecture in Shikoku. Since the prices are reasonable and it is easy to use, I would like to visit the original "Rotating Sushi Festival" in Kagawa Prefecture next time I go there.
