I visited Inu Amago Soba near Kameoka. I arrived at 12:30 on a weekday, but there was already a long waitlist. There was a sudden thunderstorm, turning the entrance into a river, but I managed to get inside and sit down. I had the cold soba noodles with dipping sauce and mochi. The soba noodles had a great texture, and the soy sauce-based dipping sauce was delicious. The mochi with kinako powder was also very tasty. I would love to try the hot soba noodles when it gets colder.

This is a restaurant we visited on our way back from the Katsura River cruise. It was already past two o'clock, so our lunch options were limited, but luckily this restaurant was still open, so we decided to have some soba noodles. They also had a vegetable stand selling items like shishito peppers and potatoes at cheaper prices than Kobe supermarkets, so we bought a variety of vegetables. This restaurant seems to be quite famous, as they have been featured on TV shows like "Tetsuwan Dash" and even had a photo of the Y members who went viral at one point. As for the soba noodles, they offered both hand-cut and regular soba noodles, and I managed to get the hand-cut noodles in a large serving before they sold out. The hand-cut noodles were delicious, with a rustic and thick cut that looked and tasted amazing. My companion wanted to try the curry udon, and even though it was scorching hot outside, they enjoyed it. I tried the spicy sauce that came with it, and it was flavorful with a good amount of spice. Overall, this spot is highly recommended if you're driving through Kameoka. It was a delightful meal.

On the way from Mino to Kameoka, we stopped for a late lunch around 2:30 pm. We hadn't eaten lunch yet, so we were looking for something to eat along the way. My companion mentioned that there was a soba restaurant nearby, so we decided to check it out. However, when we arrived, we were disappointed by the atmosphere of the place, which felt more like a cafeteria than a traditional soba restaurant. The prices were a bit high for a place with such a casual vibe. We wanted to order hand-made soba, but they were sold out, so we ended up ordering the seasonal soba instead. Unfortunately, the cold soba we received was not very flavorful, and the broth made the noodles feel even colder in the rainy and chilly weather. It seemed like the restaurant was run by local farmers or the wives of farmers as a side business. The service was okay, but overall, we regretted not going to a proper soba restaurant for a more satisfying meal.

The soba noodles were honestly just okay, but the atmosphere was really nice. The elderly ladies there had a good vibe. It made me feel warm inside. I had the soba noodles with egg sauce and onigiri. My husband had the plain soba noodles with onigiri.

It takes 69 minutes from Kyoto city by local road. On a weekday lunch outing with my husband, we arrived before 1 pm at a place we visited for the first time. There was one couple of elderly customers already there. The area of Inuamano, known for its clear air, clean water, and temperature difference between day and night due to its 400-meter altitude, which produces delicious vegetables and is ideal for growing buckwheat. We ordered Handmade Zaru Soba (regular), Seasonal Joy Soba - cold (regular), and the highly recommended Seasonal Joy Mochi (kinako and red bean paste). The slightly sweet aroma that gently spreads after the warm scent is delightful. Enjoying the taste of happiness while gazing at the tranquil rural scenery. And yes, the mochi is indeed too delicious, just as rumored. The homemade flavor is truly exceptional. The staff at the restaurant are local ladies, providing natural and pleasant service. You can relax and enjoy your time here. Of course, we also purchased plenty of fresh local vegetables. So happy! They also have a barrier-free restroom.

Please try the rice cakes at this restaurant! I actually wanted to eat egg over rice and was heading to Benten no Sato, but unfortunately they were closed for the year-end holidays. My stomach was growling. I stumbled upon a nearby soba restaurant and decided to go in. The small restaurant was filled with customers buying food to take home. I ordered soba noodles, daikon mochi, and kinako mochi. The soba noodles were smooth and easy to eat. The flavor was nothing special, but I liked how easy it was to eat. However, the mochi I had for dessert was amazing! It was so soft and gooey. The daikon radish topping was delicious, but the kinako was the best part! It had a perfect sweetness with black honey on top. I even debated getting seconds. Next time, I definitely want to try the red bean paste too! The mochi was so delicious that even when we got home, my husband was still talking about how good it was. It's affordable and if you visit, be sure to try the mochi!

At 13:30 on November 25, I visited Kiraku Soba. I ordered the large serving of seasonal soba for ¥980 and the large serving of grated radish soba for ¥830. I also got fried tofu for ¥110 and mochi for ¥110 (grass mochi for ¥90 extra). Additionally, I bought soba noodles to go for ¥340, pickles for ¥186, and half-cooked soba noodles for ¥800. I also purchased a plastic bag for ¥2 (excluding tax). This was on my way to the Yuno Hana Onsen. The cold seasonal soba came with grated yam, quail egg, and shredded seaweed toppings. The soup was delicious as well. The grated radish soba came with buckwheat soup on the side, and the radish was slightly spicy. The fried tofu I ordered was unique in texture, resembling layers of yuba. The mochi topping was listed as grass mochi on the receipt and was considered a souvenir. Although I chose cold soba, the warm toppings of fried tofu and mochi would have been a better match with warm soba. Next time, I would like to try the warm soba with a dashi broth made from kelp and bonito flakes. The soba noodles in soup with soba dumplings were like a soba-flavored broth. There were leftover plum seed snacks available at the tea corner. For souvenirs, I bought pickled radish and Inukamino soba (half-cooked noodles) with soup for 4 servings. The pickles had a refreshing yuzu flavor that I enjoyed. The soba pasta I saw was made from the thin part of somen noodles. I also noticed a file containing a transcript of the TV show "Tetsuwan Dash" from August 19, 2013, which featured Inukamino. A staff member I met in the parking lot proudly described the area as "nothing special, but a good place," and I agreed. I would like to visit again in this season, perhaps on a motorcycle, to enjoy new soba and autumn leaves. The Inukamino soba noodles were cut in half as requested and tasted good, but the accompanying soba soup had a slightly unusual flavor, possibly due to the "acid fermentation seasoning" listed in the ingredients.

I wanted to eat soba while driving around, so I searched for a good place to go. I found a place in a remote location, like a lone house. Many people were arriving by bicycle. The staff were older ladies who created a nice atmosphere that made me feel relaxed. The soba was delicious! They also sell hand-made soba for takeout, as well as eggs and other items. It's like a roadside station. It's a calming place no matter what you say! The soba was also delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back!

I found this place on the way to a drive in Kameoka. It was a cooperative direct sales store, so I decided to stop by. I had some delicious handmade soba noodles, which were quite tasty. The simple and friendly service from the local ladies was also nice. Thank you for the meal.

My mom and our cats are sleeping in Takatsuki. There are living cats and dogs here too. We went to the place where my two cats are sleeping and said hello. It's cold today. Let's have lunch. This place is known for soba noodles, including hand-made ones. But today, it's so cold! So we both ordered warm soba noodles. It's chilly. The tea is self-serve, but they have warm tea ready. I also bought one onigiri that caught my eye. I shared it with my mom. Soon, our ordered soba noodles arrived, steaming hot! The noodles are smooth with a gentle broth. Delicious! Next time, I'll try the hand-made soba noodles. For dessert, we had yomogi mochi made here. Yum! Thank you! By the way, there are a lot of bellflower crests around here. I wonder if it's related to the Akechi clan. If we go further into the mountain pass, we can reach Kameoka and Kyoto.

As a soba enthusiast, I have been exploring areas such as Kameoka, Inagawa, Nose, and Tanba for soba, but I had never visited this place before, so I decided to check it out. Run by the Inuamano Agricultural Cooperative, this place is more like a shop where you can also enjoy soba, rather than a dedicated soba restaurant. It may be easy to miss as it is not as big as a roadside station, but they also sell local vegetables and rice. Now, onto the soba. I decided to try the limited edition hand-cut soba in a large portion. As shown in the photo, it is a simple zaru presentation. The soba noodles are uneven, but they are delicious. There are various toppings available, but I enjoyed the simplicity of this soba. They also provide soba-yu (hot soba water). The interior of the restaurant is simple, with communal tables and a down-to-earth atmosphere run by local people. The rural scenery about an hour north on Route 171 was quite pleasant.

I had grated radish soba. The noodles were firm and the broth was decent. I wish the grated radish had a bit more kick to it. It would have been better if it didn't come with wasabi. Also, the staff were all older ladies, which is fine, but the service was a bit sloppy (lol).

The restaurant is located in a place where you might overlook it. I had hand-made soba noodles (80%). For dessert, I had kinako mochi, which was delicious.
