Hojicha Float for 600 yen. It was a regular float. The soft serve tasted more like hojicha milk rather than strong hojicha flavor. It didn't seem very rich in hojicha flavor. I prefer stronger flavor, so it was a bit disappointing for me. It felt like a touristy price.

Arashiyama sightseeing. When it comes to Arashiyama, it's all about eating while walking around. As I was exploring various shops, the warm spring weather made me crave something cold to drink. Just then, I saw a sign for soft serve ice cream. Without hesitation, I walked into the shop and was immediately captivated by the matcha float. I quickly purchased it and took a sip, savoring the rich matcha flavor that filled my mouth. The red bean paste added a perfect touch. This drink is a must-have to get through the upcoming season.

Cotton candy x Latte to eat * Kyoto Arashiyama. * ☼ * ------------ * ☼ * ------------. Fukujuen Arashiyama Tea House @fukujuen.arashiyamachaya @fukujuen_official. * ☼ * ------------ * ☼ * ------------. Fukujuen's tea shop. Spring limited edition strawberry and cherry blossom cotton parfait 700 yen Monkey cookie 150 yen When I came to Arashiyama before, I missed it because it was starting in a few days, so I'm glad I could eat it this time. Isn't this the cutest thing of the year? A pink fluffy monkey sitting on top Pink fluffy with peach clouds? Peach clouds? Did Goku ride on a peach cloud? ←. Strawberry powder is sweet and sour, and kids will love the cotton candy ❣️ It's quite a lot in this cup, with strawberries, matcha sauce, rich milk jelly that's like panna cotta. This matcha sauce goes well with the milky milk jelly and there's something like mochi in it. Good for eating on the go. There is also a space to sit and eat! Thank you for the meal. The weeping cherry blossoms were still blooming, and the double cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Cute monkey cookies at Fukujuen Arashiyama Teahouse in Kyoto's Arashiyama area. For a reasonable price, you can enjoy freshly brewed tea at Fukujuen. Try the Uji Matcha Latte for 450 yen or the Japanese black tea for 400 yen. Don't forget to try the Monkey Cookie for 150 yen. You can sit outside on the chairs or relax on the moss-covered area in the back. The tea from this teahouse is delicious. Enjoy a leisurely tea time in Arashiyama! #ArashiyamaCafe #ArashiyamaGourmet #ArashiyamaFoodTour #ArashiyamaTeahouse #Fukujuen

In Kyoto's Arashiyama, there is a serene Uji tea cafe called "Fukujuen Arashiyama Tea House." They offer Drip Tea (green tea blend) with Monkey Cookies and Uji Matcha Float. Located in the commercial facility Arashiyama Shooryuen, known for its collection of Kyoto's traditional shops, look for the shop with the "monkey curtain" as a sign. The tea here is delicious, and I always end up stopping by when I visit Arashiyama. The Drip Tea green tea blend has a clean and refreshing taste that you can easily enjoy. I recommend adding the separately sold Monkey Cookies for an extra cute touch! Kyoto's weather is perfect for a stroll, so be sure to try this as a companion for your walk.

Arashiyama Station is located across from a commercial facility! There is no eat-in option, but there are plenty of chairs outside the shop where you can take a break inexpensively. Around 3 customers were there at 3:00 pm on a holiday. There was a constant stream of customers. [Items purchased] Genmaicha ¥400, Black tea ¥400. I misunderstood due to the cute noren curtain, but they measure the time and steep the tea leaves properly. Even though it's a simple shop, it's well done. It turned out to be Fukujuen...! Maybe they are exploring a new customer base. The taste is delicious, so I thought they could add a bit more luxury, but maybe that would deter younger customers. It's a convenient spot for delicious food in Arashiyama, a town for foodies! Thank you for the meal.

Fukujuen's Matcha Soft Serve
I decided to try the matcha soft serve at a tea shop in Kyoto, even though it was a bit pricey. The soft serve was topped with matcha powder, and it looked delicious. I took a bite and it was really good! The matcha flavor was not too bitter and had a nice aroma. It was not too sweet, just the right amount. It was a hit, just like the one I had at Tsujiri.

I drank a refreshing drink with a light and clean taste that brings out the aroma of matcha. It's really easy to drink♪ Even people who don't like matcha very much might be able to enjoy it. It seems like it would go well with sweet snacks too^ - ^

Rich. The area around Arashiyama Station on the Randen Arashiyama Line is well-maintained due to being a tourist destination. I'm planning to come back next month, so I decided to take a stroll as a preview and take a break by buying some soft serve ice cream. I opted for the premium option at 500 yen. The rich matcha soft serve ice cream with powdered green tea on top was delicious, with a bittersweet sweetness. It was filled all the way to the bottom of the cone. I'm so full now. It will be difficult to eat outside once it gets cooler, so I'm enjoying it while I can. Yeah, it was quite intense.

After leaving Rokkakudo tea house, I visited Imamiya Shrine, Daikakuji, and Ninnaji (special opening of the Kannon Hall and Golden Hall). With plenty of time left, I decided to go to Arashiyama. I took the Randen train and got off at Arashiyama Station, then first admired the Togetsukyo Bridge before heading to Tenryuji Temple. However, I suddenly realized I was very thirsty. I remembered that there was a Fukujuen store around here when I last visited. It was a perfect opportunity. Although I skipped it last time, I couldn't miss it this time. I arrived at the store, entered, and immediately stared at the menu board. Since tea is the only option here, I chose the iced sencha without hesitation. I enjoyed it at a table inside the store. The slight bitterness is a characteristic, and the refreshing taste spreads in the mouth. It was delicious, just as I expected. This is what I like. After quickly finishing the drink, I left the store, but indeed, when it comes to Kyoto, it's all about tea. I plan to visit again in mid-December when the Arashiyama Hanatouro event is happening, as I want to experience it then.

Even though it's September, the weather is perfect and the sun is shining brightly. I stopped by for a drink while strolling around Arashiyama. This place is located along the main street from Togetsukyo Bridge, where shops selling Kyoto souvenirs and local specialties are gathered. Among the usual cold green tea and roasted green tea, I was intrigued by the summer limited edition sparkling tea that was about to end, so I took a chance and chose the unknown Sparkling Tea (300 yen including tax) with a laugh. My impression after drinking it is... I should have just stuck with regular tea. It's not that it tastes bad, but it just tastes like carbonated water. You can faintly sense the tea, but this was definitely a mistake. Well, hits and misses are part of the fun of traveling, right? Thank you for the meal!!

I visited the Nagoya Takashimaya for the limited-time Big Kyoto Exhibition. Many Kyoto shops are participating, so I decided to try the soft serve ice cream here. I ordered the Matcha and Hojicha Sundae from the menu, which is a mix of matcha and roasted green tea flavors. It has a gentle taste and the soft serve is smooth. The matcha has a strong milk flavor, while the hojicha is slightly lighter in roasted tea flavor. There was a cookie with an egg flavor inside, which was delicious. It was crispy and had a nice egg flavor. The matcha cookie in the shape of a leaf had a mild taste.

At the Nagoya Takashimaya Kyoto Exhibition, I had matcha and hojicha soft serve ice cream for 500 yen. It was cheap and delicious, especially the leaf-shaped cookie was tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Fukushuen is known for Iemon. I prefer Iemon over Oi Ocha when it comes to bottled tea. This time, they had soft serve available so I decided to give it a try. I chose the hojicha and matcha mix for my sundae. The hojicha flavor was as expected, with a distinct hojicha taste. The matcha had a nice bitterness and high-quality flavor. The soft serve base was also rich and well-balanced with both hojicha and matcha. The castella rusk and matcha cookie that came with it were delicious as well. It would have been even better if it was hojicha sencha instead of hojicha. I wish hojicha sencha soft serve, like the one from Kagoshima's Kicha, could become more popular nationwide. I haven't heard of any places in Kyoto selling soft serve made with hojicha sencha. The aroma and aftertaste are completely different! Since I grew up with hojicha sencha from Masuya, hojicha doesn't really stand out to me. Thank you for the meal.
