On Saturday, at 11:40, my husband and I visited the Ritsumeikan Co-op Sonshinkan cafeteria for a parent open campus event as our child is currently studying there. We chose from a selection of four menu items and I decided on the Pork Salt Kalbi Don Set for 650 yen. The Kalbi Don not only comes with meat but also spinach, which is a thoughtful addition. Additionally, you can choose one side dish from a few options, so I chose the simmered eggplant. It's great to get some vegetables in. My husband had the Chicken Sweet and Spicy Steak Set for 650 yen. I had heard that it's always crowded and hard to use, but the quality of the food for the price was good. Thank you for the meal.

In October, we will be running two series almost simultaneously as our monthly project: "GoTo Government Cafeteria 30 Match" and "2021 500 Yen Lunch 30 Match Part 3." In addition, we will also be starting a new series called "Ramen 20 Match" halfway through. The "GoTo Government Cafeteria" series will focus on cafeteria dining at government offices, city halls, hospitals, and university cafeterias. Today, we will be reviewing the cafeteria at Ritsumeikan University's Imadegawa Campus in Kyoto. The dish we tried was the Sesame Sauce Pork Cutlet for 308 yen, with an extra large serving of rice for 136 yen. Note that prices may vary for non-students.

Last year, I did a series of 50 articles on GoTo Government Cafeterias, and this is the sequel focusing on government cafeterias at prefectural offices, city halls, and hospitals, commonly known as "employee cafeterias," with the addition of "student cafeterias." It's a broad-scale project that seems easy for anyone to do, but is actually quite challenging, reflecting my style. Continuing GoTo Government Cafeterias Part 31, in 2021, the 500 yen lunch showdown - Part 6. This time, we visit the Ritsumeikan University Sonshinkan Cafeteria in front of the Ritsumeikan University Kinugasa Campus in Kyoto. The Roast Chicken with Bandit Sauce costs 308 yen, and a large portion of rice costs 136 yen. Prices are subject to a 5% increase for non-members, and the rice can also be made with ancient grains.

For lunch, I went to the school cafeteria and chose Kitsune Soba, Demi-Glace Hamburger, medium rice, and a side dish of spinach. The hamburger tasted like the ones I often have at home, so it was familiar and made me crave beer. The Kitsune Soba had delicious large pieces of fried tofu. The menu was limited due to COVID-19, but it was a good combination. Thank you for the meal.

Today I worked at Ritsumeikan University's Biwako-Kusatsu Campus. For lunch, I went to the cafeteria. I arrived at 11:30 before it got crowded. The menu was still limited, maybe due to the impact of COVID-19. I ordered the hamburger with pepper sauce, whole fish simmered in soy sauce that you can eat with the bones, miso soup, medium rice, and tea. The total cost was 722 yen, which is quite reasonable considering I also bought tea. The cafeteria has transparent partitions between every seat for COVID-19 prevention. The hamburger with black pepper sauce was tasty and a bit spicy. The whole fish simmered in soy sauce was delicious and went well with the rice. The miso soup was full of ingredients. If someone were to eat this meal every day, it would be quite healthy. I would like to visit this cafeteria again in the future.
