I have been coming here for about 20 years. I always order pasta. Due to my work, I often visit Italy and the pasta here really tastes like the one in Italy. I feel like the turnover at the restaurant has become slower than before. I recommend coming with at least 1 hour of extra time during lunchtime.

I wonder when was the first time I went there. Although I often visit Teramachi since I came to Kyoto, I have only been there a few times for some reason. It was around noon when I finished my errands in Teramachi and decided to go to a slightly hidden entrance where a few people were lining up. I hesitated but decided to wait since I was already there. The person who lined up behind me was told that there would be a 45-minute wait if they joined now. I didn't know they had a variety of menu items, including pizza. I immediately ordered the classic Vongole Bianco with French bread. I also ordered a salad, and the kind staff member told me they had a mini size available as well. It took an hour from lining up to eating. Each dish was carefully prepared, and the customers were able to eat and relax slowly. The pasta was cooked perfectly to my liking and tasted delicious. The middle-aged master seemed to have aged, just like me. I hope this restaurant and its delicious food will continue for as long as possible. Thank you for the meal.

I discovered a delicious-looking oyster pasta on Instagram, so I visited the restaurant with a friend. I ordered the oyster pasta and my friend ordered the eggplant pasta. The waiting time was quite long, so it's a place for those who can wait patiently. Despite being simple, the pasta was rich and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Originally a café, this local longstanding restaurant has evolved into its current style through the hard work of the Italian food-loving owner. I remember visiting a few times during my student days, but it has been decades since my last visit. Wow, it's cheap. Incredibly cheap. Despite the advanced age of the owner, he energetically flips the frying pan. This is not a fancy restaurant that serves high-end ingredients. It's more like home-cooked pasta from a café. However, the sauces, ingredients, and flavors are carefully crafted, with a good balance and a satisfying taste. In Kyoto, where there are many restaurants that overcharge tourists, this is a rare gem that makes you think they could raise their prices. I hope they stay healthy and keep up the good work for a long time.

I visited the restaurant for lunch on Monday, September 26, 2022. There were a few customers already there, so we sat at a table for four and placed our order. By the time we left, there was a line outside, showing that the restaurant is quite popular. I chose the carbonara, opting for the large portion. We were served bread first and then had to wait for about 20 to 25 minutes for our food to arrive. I was a bit nervous that my lunch break would end before the food came. The taste was light and somewhat simple, but I found it quite satisfying. I finished my meal with a sense of understanding and contentment.

On a regular day at 11:20, there were already 3 customers. The restaurant has only 7 seats, so it's quite small. By 11:30, it was full. We ordered Amatriciana for 900 yen and Tiramisu for 430 yen. It took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive. The pasta seemed to be made with Teflon dice, with a slightly soft and chewy texture. The sauce was tomato-based with a tangy flavor, but I thought it could use a bit more sweetness. The bacon was a bit too salty for my taste. The Tiramisu had a lot of sponge cake and very little mascarpone. The sponge was light and easy to eat, but lacked the flavor of alcohol or espresso. It felt more like a light dessert after a meal. Personally, I would have preferred a Tiramisu with more emphasis on cheese or cream.

Tramonto, an Italian restaurant known to those in the know, is located about a 5-minute walk from Kyoto City Hall Station. It can get quite busy on weekends, and you might not be able to get a table. The owner and staff are mostly elderly, but the taste is very authentic. The pasta is softer than the white rice you eat in Kyoto, but for some reason, it's incredibly delicious and addictive. The atmosphere created by the staff is great, and the size and layout of the restaurant are just right. It's a place you'll want to visit regularly.

I had some business at Kyoto City Hall and while exploring the area, I came across the Italian flag. I was surprised to see an Italian restaurant here. It was a bit hard to find the entrance as it is tucked away in the building where the flag is displayed, but if you go down the hallway and turn left a bit, you'll find it. The interior has an old-fashioned atmosphere, more like a traditional coffee shop than an Italian restaurant, which I found cozy. The restaurant is mainly run by an elderly couple, so it's best to go when you have some time to spare. I ordered a ham platter, pasta, dessert, and white wine, and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the ham platter was. I recommend visiting during quiet times for a relaxing solo dining experience.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with some friends because they recommended it. The interior had an old-fashioned coffee shop vibe, which might be a bit intimidating to go alone. I had the seafood pasta with white sauce, and my friend had the octopus ragu. The octopus ragu was okay, but the seafood pasta was quite delicious. I don't often make cream sauce at home, so I might come back here to eat it again. However, the atmosphere of the restaurant makes it a bit hard to visit alone, so I may not return anytime soon.

An Italian restaurant with a Showa-era coffee shop atmosphere. I visited around 2 pm and it was full. While waiting for the food to come out, everyone was reading books, newspapers, or magazines, passing time very leisurely (laughs) It had a nostalgic Showa vibe (laughs). Regular customers were also there. After a while, bread and pasta arrived. I ordered the winter limited oyster pasta. When it arrived, it was so voluminous!! You could tell just by looking at it that it was voluminous (laughs) I thought it was worth coming on an empty stomach. With each bite, the creamy pasta with plump oyster essence was delicious! Looking around, I noticed that many people were eating tomato sauce-based dishes. Next time, I'll try a tomato sauce-based dish!

When it comes to pasta, this is the place to be, I was told as I happened to pass by and decided to enter. I could faintly smell the good aroma of garlic, giving me the feeling of being in a pasta restaurant. I asked the owner which pasta is good, and I came across a suspicious menu item! "Prostitute's Spa." Prostitute's Spa? I tried the Prostitute's Spa, which is Rigatoni with meat sauce, and it had a slightly spicy and mature taste with a tomato base. The meat sauce was a classic choice, and bread was served as well. Both were delicious. I also tried the cheese, which was also delicious! I wonder if this is a family recipe that they are known for.

It's been a while since I last visited Tramonto. I remember coming here at night and enjoying a delicious meal. Lately, it seems that there are long lines, possibly due to the influence of Instagram, so I had given up on trying to get in. However, on this day, I went right after they opened on a weekday and was able to get a table right away. While waiting for my food, I noticed that many customers were coming in. Since it's winter, I ordered the seasonal dish of Oyster Tagliolini. It came with a complimentary baguette. The dish was filled with plump oysters and the creamy sauce was rich and flavorful! The oysters paired perfectly with the pasta, which was soft and chewy. All the pasta dishes here are delicious and remind me of traditional Italian cuisine.

Every Saturday we go to the clinic in Jingumaru-taicho. For lunch, we came to Tramonto. We had to wait, but we were able to sit at a table inside. However, the turnover was slow. We waited for about 30 minutes. After us, there was a long line outside in the hallway. About 10 people were waiting. We sat down and placed our order right away. I had the creamy oyster pasta (1500 yen) and my husband had a pasta called "Witch's Pasta" (either 980 yen or 1080 yen for a large serving). Halfway through, French bread was served without butter or olive oil. After waiting for 30 minutes and then waiting in line for an hour, we finally got our pasta (tears). The creamy oyster pasta had lots of oysters and was delicious. My husband's pasta was spicy. The portion size between regular and large was quite different. It's delicious enough to want to come back, but the waiting time is a bit long.

I had lunch at an old Italian-style cafe near Kyoto City Hall. There was a line, and I waited for about 30 minutes. I had meat sauce pasta, pizza (Genovese), and garlic oil-marinated octopus. The pasta was thin and the meat sauce flavor blended well, very tasty. The pizza had a crispy crust that matched well with the Genovese flavor. The octopus was tender and made me want to have some alcohol. I found a delicious Italian pasta restaurant in Kyoto.

I went for lunch, but there were no special lunch sets or menus, just the regular menu available. It doesn't matter if you go during peak hours or not. Since it was my first visit, I had a hard time deciding which pasta to order, but I chose the Siciliano. The tomato sauce had a nice hint of garlic and the acidity and tomato flavor were just right. It was sprinkled with dried basil. The pasta was a bit softer than al dente, but it was still good. The seasoning was just right. When you order pasta, you get a piece of bread with it. I didn't eat it, but everyone around me was dipping it in the sauce and enjoying it. I would like to visit again when I feel like having pasta in my daily life.

I went to Kyoto Imperial Palace in the morning and searched for a pasta lunch, which led me here. It seems like a long-standing restaurant, and even on a weekday, it was bustling. I ordered the octopus ragu sauce pasta. The sauce wasn't too oily, and the noodles were soft but still had a good chewiness. It was simple but delicious. I would love to come back to this restaurant for regular visits.

I visited for the first time. Last time I came on a Sunday and it was closed, so I had to give up. Today, I visited before the Saturday crowd. I heard that the pasta was delicious, so I thought it would be a fancy restaurant, but it looked like an old-fashioned cafe. I feel much more relaxed in this kind of place. I quickly ordered the recommended dish, "Oyster Cream Sauce Pasta," in a large portion. My friend ordered the tomato and clam pasta. The oyster cream pasta was amazing even without eating the oysters themselves, the pasta alone had a burst of oyster flavor! The first bite was incredibly impressive. My friend's pasta seemed a bit bland at first, but I ended up loving it! The acidity of the tomatoes, the flavor of the clams, and the spicy kick of the chili pepper were all delicious! Both dishes were really tasty. Also, the elderly lady who runs the place had a great personality! Maybe because of her age, she gets really close when talking, her face almost reaches your cheek if you turn around! She was a cute grandma and I felt like I could easily become fond of her! I will definitely visit again!!

The portion size is described as generous, with the tomato sauce "Seafood" priced at ¥950. The dish comes out piping hot with steam rising, which is fantastic. The thin noodles may not be to everyone's liking, but the way everything is cooked is excellent. The flavor is reminiscent of Showa era dishes. The clientele is mostly in their 30s or older. I visited on a Wednesday after 8 pm, and the restaurant was lively and bustling. Although the taste wasn't exactly my preference, I still think it's a great restaurant. There are many appealing aspects that I could talk about. It seems like there are a lot of fans and regular customers here. I hope other restaurants will follow suit in serving dishes with such a high temperature.

I heard rumors and made a reservation to visit. It was almost full at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. I started with wine while waiting. The marinated mushrooms came out quickly. They were seasoned with vinegar, garlic, oil, black pepper, white pepper, and fennel. The taste seems like something I could make myself, but the presentation would be difficult. By the time 40 minutes had passed since entering, it seemed they hadn't even started making the pasta yet. The previous customers also hadn't started eating, so I patiently waited. Now, for the Vongole Bianco. It's an antique. It's a basic recipe with clams in aglio e olio style. After a few tries, I think I could make it too. Some things to note are to use plenty of olive oil, remove the chili pepper before it turns black, adjust the cooking time, and serve it piping hot. If you don't mind waiting, go ahead and try it. Even before 2 p.m., there were several couples waiting in the aisle.

I found this restaurant when I was looking for recommended lunch spots around Kawaramachi before, but I hesitated because it's closer to Kyoto City Hall than Kawaramachi, and I thought I wouldn't be satisfied with just pasta. However, feeling like I had overeaten the day before and not having much of an appetite, I decided it was the perfect day for pasta. I headed north on Teramachi Street from Kawaramachi, passed Oike Street, and turned right on Nijo Street next to the City Hall. The restaurant is easy to find with an Italian flag outside. Inside the building, there is a glass door that fogs up the moment you open it, likely from the steam of boiling pasta. I was seated at a table and handed the menu by a female staff member. The daily recommended pasta was Oyster Cream for 1,400 yen (tax included), but I opted for the Zitana pasta for 1,000 yen. The atmosphere inside was reminiscent of a Showa-era coffee shop, with a cozy feel and retro decor. The pasta arrived on a round plate, drizzled with olive oil, topped with black olives, anchovies, capers, and something unfamiliar called "black olive." The taste was expertly crafted, not too soft or bland, with a well-infused sauce. The black olives added a unique Mediterranean flavor, with a hint of chili pepper. Though the flavor was slightly mild, it was not lacking in saltiness. I found the taste intriguing and finished the dish without getting bored. Some people in the restaurant had made reservations, so it seems like a popular spot that may require booking depending on the time and number of guests. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.
