I happened to come across this place while driving around looking for somewhere to have lunch in Ayabe. I tried the recommended Tokubei Udon. I was surprised to find out that the price doesn't change even if you order two udon noodles, so I just went with one. When it arrived, I was shocked by the large bowl! It had shrimp tempura, fried tofu, beef, seaweed, and more! It was very delicious with a gentle broth. One bowl was just the right amount for me. It was a cold day, so it really warmed me up. I would love to visit this place again when I'm in Ayabe.

The restaurant has good portion sizes, is affordable, and delicious. Suitable for all ages, families, and solo diners. Recommended spot.

I went with my three children. I had been coming here alone before, but I wanted to share this relaxing atmosphere with my kids. The udon here is not too firm, but soft. The broth is just right, and the side menu is quite extensive. The menu has a lot of items listed, which can be a bit confusing, but older customers tend to order what they want without looking at the menu much anyway, so it's okay (lol). This place is cheap, delicious, generous in portion size, and the service is excellent! They even have kids' sets available. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like a "Showa retro" style, very calming.

The entrance to the restaurant is a bit dark, so it may take some courage to enter for the first time. Inside, it has more of an old-fashioned diner or cafe vibe rather than a typical udon shop, but it's surprisingly cozy probably because of the spacious layout. The udon noodles are firm and have a good texture, and the broth is delicious. Their udon set meals are more extensive than just udon dishes. It's a popular spot among locals for its affordable and tasty food. However, they sometimes run out of udon even during their operating hours, especially in the evenings. It seems like there was a change in management a few years ago, and the portions may have slightly decreased, but the taste remains the same - delicious udon set meals.
