Hello, it's the office cat! This time, I visited a horse meat izakaya called "Umano Kushi" that I've loved since my student days. It's been about half a year since I last came here. In short, it's a place where you can eat delicious horse sashimi at a bargain price. That's the essence of this place. It's quite a well-known spot, so reservations are a must. The atmosphere is lively and the space is a bit cramped. The service is honestly a bit rough. But all I want is to eat lots of delicious horse sashimi at a cheap price! If that sounds like you, then I highly recommend this place. One recommendation is the "Horse sashimi platter" for ¥760 (first picture). This amount for 760 yen! It includes shoulder loin, thigh, shoulder belly, and thoracic vertebrae. It's best to order each piece separately for 190 yen each. The "Horse tongue sashimi" for ¥420 was unfortunately sold out this time. It's a must-try with its melt-in-your-mouth texture at such a price. The "Grilled eringi mushrooms" for ¥320 is a cost-effective dish that goes well with butter soy sauce. The "Horse meat tataki" for ¥380 is like a beef roast with a rich meaty flavor. The "Yukke bowl" for ¥490 is a personal favorite! It's unbelievable for 500 yen. The tender cherry blossom yukke on rice with sweet sauce and creamy egg yolk is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying this too! Drinks start from around 400 yen, so even with four men eating and drinking, it will only cost around 4000 yen. Be careful, as after visiting this place, regular izakayas' horse sashimi might seem ridiculously expensive! Thank you for the meal.

I visited here for the first time - it's packed even on a weekday. We were seated at a table for 6. The main dish of horse sashimi came out on a large plate. The amount is unbelievable. It's mostly lean meat, but there's also some fatty cuts. We also had beef tongue carpaccio and more. No wonder it's so crowded. It was delicious - thank you for the meal!

It had been a while since I visited this restaurant that I loved since my student days. However, I was surprised to find that the cost-performance ratio and portion size of the horse sashimi were not balanced. The amount of horse sashimi seems to have decreased. The taste is still excellent though!! The beef tartare was a bit disappointing as it was flat.

Visited on a Sunday evening. Right near Itabashi Station. The entire restaurant allows smoking. The place was very crowded. We didn't make a reservation but had to wait a bit while drinking. Raw meat dishes for 190 yen each, lemon sour for 380 yen, this place is all about cost performance. No wonder it's so busy. The customers were a good mix of people, not just middle-aged men as you might expect. I definitely plan to go back again.

I went drinking with my senior in Itabashi, which I used to pass by often during my student days, but this was my first time getting off here. It was great to eat delicious food like horse sashimi at a high cost performance. The horse sashimi was really delicious. It's very convenient being close to the station. I would like to visit again when I get off at Itabashi. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to eat raw meat, so I did some research and headed to Itabashi. I was glad I made a reservation the day before. I was able to eat horse meat and drink without spending more than 3000 yen. The menu was extensive and everything was cheap. The portions were generous. Not only the meat, but each dish came with plenty of sliced onions and grated radish. Quality may not be the best, but it's better than nothing. The restaurant is small and the service is average. It was busy and full, so that's understandable. It's a smoking-friendly place, so if you're sensitive to smells, you shouldn't go. I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

Horse sashimi is delicious! Cheap! But... it's almost impossible to go without a reservation because it's so crowded. I understand that it's busy, but the turnover of customers is sloppy, and even if you have to wait to get in, you will be rushed like crazy when leaving. With that in mind, it's the best cost-performance restaurant! Definitely try the horse sashimi. It may be obvious, but (laughs) Personally, I found that grilled horse meat had 5 times more flavor than I imagined... Anyway, I recommend eating a lot of horse sashimi!

Was horse meat always this cheap? At 198 yen, you can enjoy various cuts like thigh meat, shoulder loin, belly, and horse sirloin, making it quite cost-effective! Most of the menu items use horse meat, so you'll want to try different dishes. Personally, I loved the tofu milk soup and horse bamboo shoots (aorta). The tofu milk soup allows you to savor the richness of tofu milk and horse meat, while the horse bamboo shoots have a refreshing ponzu-based seasoning with a crunchy texture. They go well with alcohol. One improvement suggestion would be that you can only find out what is sold out or available when you place your order. Especially for items like sake, even if it shows as "x", the customer next to me was able to order it. Well, I guess we'll have to be patient considering the great cost performance.

The bill was surprisingly cheap! The taste was exquisite. Every cut was delicious. Especially the liver sashimi was amazing. You can eat to your heart's content without worrying about the price. I thought the portions might be small because it's cheap, but no way. There's plenty of volume. I want to come back!

Now, let's finish off the stroll from Itabashi Honcho to Itabashi Station, making plenty of detours to see the cherry blossoms along the way. I had always wanted to visit this place, but Itabashi is not a familiar area to me. The moment I had something to do near Itabashi, I immediately decided that this would be the perfect place to end the day. I made sure to make a reservation during the weekday opening hours, as I didn't want to risk encountering a temporary closure. The restaurant had a decent number of seats and was decorated in a festival-like, Showa-era style, with red lighting throughout. The ambiance was a bit too red for good photos, but that didn't bother me. I started with a bottle of beer, which cost 590 yen for a small bottle of Sapporo. The drink prices were reasonable. The highlight of the menu was the incredibly cheap horse meat! They offered four types of horse meat for only 190 yen each. I decided to try all four. I also ordered some side dishes like Namul for 240 yen, Yukhoe for 380 yen, and Tataki for 380 yen. The Namul, seasoned with sesame oil, was delicious and went well with the drinks. I couldn't believe the quality and quantity of the horse sashimi for just 190 yen. I also tried the skewers - half-cooked horse sashimi for 120 yen and half-cooked heart skewers for 130 yen. Both were flavorful and had a good portion size. I then tried the Goya Champuru with horse meat for 420 yen, which was surprisingly generous in portion. It had a lot of tofu, but it was still tasty. I switched to a Umeboshi Sour for 320 yen and my companion had a soft drink for 190 yen. For the final dishes, we ordered the horse tendon fried rice for 490 yen and the spicy horse meat soup for 380 yen. The fried rice was moist and flavorful, while the soup had a good level of spiciness. Despite the slightly rough service from the staff, the overall experience was very satisfying. The cost performance was excellent, and it was a great opportunity to try horse meat dishes at an affordable price. If you're a horse meat lover passing through Itabashi, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Located right near the station on the 2nd floor! This place offers delicious horse sashimi at a reasonable price. The food and drinks are really affordable. It's great that you can start drinking before 5 PM! The photo turned red near the lantern inside the restaurant. I want to go back again!

Every time I am moved by the deliciousness and cost performance of the horse sashimi 4 types, cherry blossom yukhoe, grilled eringi mushrooms, heart skewers, tongue, and bean sprout stir-fry are a must-eat! Each dish is satisfying with generous portions. The alcohol also goes well with the food. Eating and drinking like this for around ¥3000 per person is the best cost performance. I love this place so much that I go to Itabashi just for it!

I was curious about eating horse sashimi, and found a restaurant where I could enjoy it at a low price. Many items were priced in the 300 yen range, which was very reasonable. The macaroni salad was also delicious. It was a great find. Thank you for the meal.

I had a very delicious horse sashimi during a recent business trip to Okayama, and now whenever we go out to eat with the team, someone unconsciously orders horse sashimi. One of the team members lives in Itabashi, so we decided to make a reservation at a horse sashimi restaurant there based on information that there was one in the area. When we arrived, there was no sign outside the restaurant, which made us a bit nervous. However, once we went inside and were greeted by the staff, we felt a little more at ease. The staff and customers were all older, which was a bit surprising. The ceiling had some dust, which was also a bit concerning. Looking at the menu, we noticed that the prices were very cheap. We ordered three recommended types of horse sashimi, each priced at 190 yen per serving. We expected the servings to be small, but when the dishes arrived, they were huge! The quality of the meat was good, and we could tell it was not frozen. However, eating raw meat for an extended period was unexpectedly tough. After drinking for about 3 hours, we were shocked by the bill. It was surprisingly cheap, which we realized must be why it's popular among young people. The restaurant was so busy that we understood why we needed a reservation. Overall, it was a great experience.

Ikebukuro Station on the Saikyo Line. This restaurant is located on the second floor of a building right away when you go towards the Takanogawa direction. The atmosphere is like a casual pub. Starting with a draft beer, the chilled beer is delicious! This restaurant is popular for its horse meat dishes as the name suggests. Horse sashimi is only 190 yen for one type, which is surprisingly cheap. We ordered all four types. We also ordered macaroni salad and stir-fried bean sprouts as side dishes. The macaroni salad is simple but tasty. The beer goes well with it. And the horse sashimi. There is quite a lot, and it's quite tasty. Surprisingly, it's only 190 yen! It goes well with beer. The stir-fried bean sprouts are good too. It has a good portion, which is nice. Lastly, we ordered a super spicy soup for the finish. The spiciness goes well with the alcohol. It's spicier and tastier than expected. I'm very satisfied with being able to drink deliciously and cheaply. I would love to visit again for a drink.

Just a short walk from Itabashi Station. You can practically see it from the ticket gate. The horse shoulder roast is tender and delicious. The grilled eringi mushrooms for 320 yen and the stir-fried bean sprouts with horse meat for 380 yen are a perfect match for drinks. The yukhoe bowl for 490 yen is also amazing. The cost performance is unbelievable. Those who live nearby are so lucky.

The bill came out to be less than 2000 yen for 4 types of horse sashimi, 5 types of grilled dishes, pickled Chinese cabbage, chilled tomatoes, 1 glass of draft beer, and 2 glasses of shochu highball. The horse sashimi was very tender and delicious. However, the staff members did not show much friendliness or responsiveness. Nevertheless, it is definitely a good restaurant.

A horse sashimi restaurant with the best cost performance where you don't know how many times you've been! Unchanging deliciousness since 5-6 years ago... Horse sashimi is expensive and if you order it at other izakayas, you only get a small amount, but this place changes that image (lol). Everything is cheap and has a good portion size, so you won't have trouble finding a snack for your drinks! I've been to the chain stores in Akabane and Oyama, but Itabashi is the best!!

I went to a restaurant in Itabashi expecting horse meat dishes based on the name of the restaurant. I ordered horse liver sashimi, sakura yukhoe, and cold shabu shabu with ponzu sauce skewers. The horse liver sashimi was disappointing as the taste was not evenly distributed. The yukhoe was delicious though! I was surprised by how much the horse liver sashimi let me down.

My colleague recommended me a place in Itabashi where you can get delicious and affordable horse sashimi, so I decided to try it after work. Since it was early, there weren't many customers, and I was able to enjoy my meal in peace. I was surprised by the amount of food you get for the price! While it wasn't marbled, it was still of excellent quality, perfect for someone like me who doesn't like too much fat. The horse sashimi was delicious, and I also enjoyed the tataki. I will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area for work. Thank you for a great experience!

Located in Itabashi, there is a paradise for horse meat lovers called Uma no Kushiyasan. They offer various cuts of horse meat such as shoulder loin, thigh meat, shoulder belly, back rib meat, and horse meat sashimi. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great spot for budget dining. Horse sashimi starts from just 190 yen and is deliciously tender. This izakaya is popular for casual drinking with friends, so it's recommended to make a reservation unless you go early. Another branch called Uma Gozaru in Toshima is also worth checking out. Keep in mind that smoking is allowed. Despite that, the great value for money and delicious horse meat and drinks keep me coming back!
