I enjoyed the combination of coffee and onigiri. The onigiri with just seaweed and salt was delicious.

I ordered the toast and boiled egg set because the salad was not enough. It would be nice if I could order additional salad because I want to eat a lot of salad. It's lucky that smoking is allowed and there are no smokers around.

I understand that they are trying to train their staff, but they are slow to serve and have poor organization.

History Exploration (2016) In early July, after taking on a challenging job and giving up my Bon vacation, I finally delivered the work in October. I set out for a one-night hobby history exploration trip, leaving my house at 5:30 AM. I arrived at my destination in Ayabe City at 7:40 AM, where the national historic site "Shiichi Enzan Kofun" is located. This is the largest round burial mound in the prefecture, built in the middle of the Kofun period. There are three burial facilities at the top of the mound, with various burial items, including a notable "koryoku" bag for arrows. I was impressed by this powerful historic site from the start, and feeling hungry, I wandered around Ayabe Station and found a cafe to visit. The cafe had table seats shaped like grand pianos in the center, with additional table seats along the walls and no counter seats. I remember there being terrace seats as well. I ordered Morning Set B for 310 yen, which included thin toast, simmered red egg, a small salad, and slightly bitter coffee. It was a simple morning set at a friendly cafe run by a cheerful lady. I left the cafe feeling good and content.

In the middle of the store, there is a table in the shape of a piano. It was around 7 pm in the evening, and there was only one customer. The atmosphere was relaxed. The waffles were very fluffy and crispy, and delicious, but I wish they had cut the plain one for me for better presentation. The master, who seemed to be running the place alone, was smiling. There is parking space for 3-4 cars in front of the store. If I have the chance, I would like to visit this cozy cafe again.

I ended up having to wait for 1 hour for a transfer at Ayabe Station, which was not my intention. I looked around and found this place that caught my interest. They offer a free drink when you order a waffle during their dessert time after 2 pm, which was a nice service. Although the waffles were a bit pricey to begin with, the free drink was appreciated. The waffle, freshly made after ordering, had a crispy and satisfying texture. It had a gentle sweetness, and when eaten with caramel nuts, the sweetness was just right. The coffee, although complimentary, was a good Guatemalan SHB with a hint of sweetness and fruity notes.
