I visited this small restaurant on a cold day in January 2018, which I had been curious about for a while. It is located near the traffic light behind the Miyazu City Fire Department. If you're not careful, you might miss it (laughs). The place is run by a mother alone. There are about six seats at the counter, and a small low table can accommodate 2-3 people, so it can get crowded. Only on Fridays, the daughter helps out. Lunch is only available on weekdays (limited quantity) for 1200 yen including tax. I made a reservation in advance. Regular customers even come from far away. The lunch menu focuses on seasonal ingredients, with daily specials using freshly caught items. In the winter, it seems to be in a bento box format, which was the case when we visited in January. Opening the lid was exciting, with a variety of seasonal dishes packed inside. The mother is friendly and will chat with you from the counter, so I was able to learn a lot about the ingredients (*^^*). The vegetables are organically grown without pesticides, and the seafood is fresh as you would expect from a coastal town! I felt safe eating here. The day before we visited, the mother received some "namako" from a local fisherman, and it was prepared with grated daikon and ponzu sauce. I used to dislike namako, but it was so refreshing and delicious that I became a fan (laughs). Additionally, the lunch includes chawanmushi and coffee for dessert. It's nice to be able to try a variety of dishes little by little! I was very satisfied (≧▽≦). The daughter also makes limited quantity desserts, which are served daily. For an extra 300 yen, you can upgrade to a dessert set with coffee included, which is a great deal. On this day, there was a roll cake with big strawberries in it. It was just the right amount of sweetness and delicious! I would love to try another dessert as well (〃▽〃). The mother will chat with you from the counter, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I definitely want to visit this place again.

I came to Amanohashidate on a sunny day between the rainy season. This is a small shop in a residential area. The parking lot is next to the shop. You take off your shoes before entering the shop. It seems to be run by a parent and child, with a warm and gentle atmosphere. There are table seats and counter seats. The background music is gentle guitar music. Along with a hand-rolled towel, they served sword bean tea, which has a good aroma and a slightly sweet taste. There are two lunch options, the Vegetable Feast Lunch and the Pasta Lunch, both priced at 1000 yen. The Vegetable Feast Lunch uses about 13 types of homemade vegetables, which look very delicious with various side dishes. The sashimi is horse mackerel, and they do not use farmed fish. The noodle-like item is actually udon. The croquette is made from tofu, like a cream croquette. The potato salad is delicious. The cold potato soup, Vichyssoise, is also tasty. The pasta is fresh pasta with basil flavor. It doesn't stand out compared to other dishes. Coffee was served later, but my daughter cannot drink coffee, so she had tea instead. The roll cake costs an additional 300 yen and is also homemade. The cream has a fragrant liquor, but it turns out there is no alcohol in it. They suspect the melon flavor has transferred to the cream. The roll cake had plenty of sweet melon inside. The blueberries in the roll cake are also homemade. It was a delicious and gentle-tasting roll cake. It was a lovely shop. Highly recommended.

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy a special natural food lunch made with vegetables grown with homemade compost full of love and care. The owner is very friendly and always greets customers with a smile, making it easy for anyone to feel welcome. They serve lunch with the intention of promoting health with natural vegetables. They also offer catering and delivery services, so it's best to call ahead as they may occasionally have temporary closures or changes in lunch hours. The dishes are all carefully prepared with a focus on presentation and taste that appeals to women (in my personal opinion). They are also willing to share their recipes. As a bonus, you can receive a handmade treat made with shredded dried fish from the owner's mother when you leave. I highly recommend making this your favorite spot.
