The day before, I went to eat yakiniku and stayed over at my friend's apartment. We leisurely walked around the Imperial Palace in the morning and then walked to Demachiyanagi for my rehabilitation session. I left my belongings at my friend's apartment and after finishing my rehabilitation, I returned to find that my friend had made a reservation at a restaurant. The meal included appetizers, pate de campagne, a fish main dish, dessert, and coffee for 1780 yen. The pate and vegetables were voluminous, there were two types of fish, and the dessert included gelato, fruit, and cake. The bread was also delicious! The restaurant had a parking lot in front, and for the price, it seemed like a good deal. The lunch was fully booked due to it being a Saturday, perhaps. It's a casual Italian restaurant that might be nice after a stroll around the Imperial Palace!

There is a shop near the Kyoto Imperial Palace where you can have a relaxing lunch. The seating includes tables in the front and back, as well as a counter, although it seemed like the counter wasn't used much during lunchtime. The interior of the shop is cute and cozy, making it a pleasant place to spend time. For lunch, they offer a set course menu with a choice of either chicken or fish as the main dish. The set includes appetizers, bread, main dish, dessert, and a post-meal drink. The price was around 1700 yen, but considering the taste and atmosphere of the shop, it's definitely worth it. On the day I visited, I chose the pork terrine for the appetizer and fish for the main dish. The terrine was delicious, and the vegetables were very fresh. The fish main dish was also very tasty, and with dessert and coffee afterwards, you'll be able to forget any worries and enjoy your time there. It was a great restaurant.

I visited around 12:10 on a regular day. I couldn't see the back of the restaurant, but there were probably four women and one woman as the previous customers. - Lunch for 1780 yen - Pork terrine salad: The flavoring was very good. The terrine and dressing complemented each other well. - Flatfish with poêlé sauce: The sauce was very delicious. I could eat the sauce alone endlessly. - Salmon fritter with tartar sauce: This was also delicious. (I'm happy that fish in proper restaurants doesn't have bones.) - Walnut and prune dessert: It was very delicious. The flavoring was good, and the walnut tasted very good. Even though I don't like prunes, I was able to eat it. The texture of the dough was a new experience for me and it was good. It was pleasantly mushy and fresh. - Sweet iced tea - Fruits: Strawberry and pineapple. Both were not too sour. - Drink: I ordered hot milk tea, but it was served as a unexpected milk tea latte.

This is a French restaurant that is not too formal, but rather casual and easy to enjoy. The menu offers options to change appetizers and mains, but there are some dishes that require an additional fee. Overall, the food is delicious and beautifully presented, and the prices are considered cheap for this place. There were also small children dining, who seemed to enjoy the food as they were eating eagerly. I would like to visit again.

I made a reservation and visited a hall near the Imperial Palace for a live performance. The atmosphere and cuisine were both classic. The appetizers, main course, and dessert were all delicious. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife. Taking photos inside the restaurant is not allowed, so it's difficult to take pictures.

I had always been curious, so I visited for lunch for the first time. The regular lunch is 1,680 yen and includes appetizer, bread, main dish, dessert, and coffee or tea after the meal. You can choose from about 5 different appetizers and main dishes, and for an additional fee, you can select various options. At first, I thought it was a bit expensive for lunch, but when the appetizer arrived, all those thoughts disappeared. I paid an extra 590 yen to change to chicken liver and foie gras terrine for the appetizer. It looked delicious and the taste made me feel happy with every bite. I was already quite satisfied with just the appetizer. For the main dish, I chose the meat dish, and the thick chicken thigh meat was incredibly juicy and delicious. The mushroom cream sauce, along with the side of beans and rice, was plentiful and brought a great sense of satisfaction. Additionally, dessert was included, and even a drink after the meal! Although you can't have lunch at a luxury hotel for 1,680 yen, in terms of satisfaction, it was just as good as having lunch at a fine hotel. I think it's perfect for a little hospitality lunch. I will definitely go back!

Located in a residential area near the Imperial Palace in Kyoto, this casual restaurant is unpretentious and easy to miss. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the prices are neither cheap nor expensive, making it a good choice for a casual French dining experience. The menu seems to cater more towards women's tastes, and the cheese salad with a whole baked Camembert was a standout dish that I highly recommend trying. I ended up drinking quite a bit of wine, so be careful not to overindulge like I did!

From Kuro-Mech, head north on Iwai-dori Street, looking left and right for a nice shop. Turn left on Shimochoshaku-dori Street (one way street) and continue north until you reach a suspicious, no, I mean a wonderful shop! You will find it tucked away on Shimonagashacho-dori Street. There are two parking spaces in front. The decorations are sparkling and inviting. It's a French restaurant called "Ala Chamon." It reminds me of a sunny day or adventurers in Allandron. Or maybe it's just a delicious duck dish! It seems to be run by a couple, and the chef, who came out from the back, had a smile on his face. I received their business card and I definitely want to visit for lunch. The lunch menu starts from 1680 yen and it seems to be by reservation only.

I didn't have a specific restaurant in mind for lunch between Ryokuan Kiyomizu and Ozu Kyoto -maison du sake-. I passed by Kamomachi Ramen, but it was full, so I continued on. I wandered around Kyoto Imperial Palace and ended up in front of Goo Shrine without deciding where to eat. I searched for nearby restaurants on my tablet and found A La Charlemagne right there, so we decided to eat there. For appetizers, I chose the prosciutto for an additional charge, and my friend chose scallops. The prosciutto was delicious with the perfect amount of salt. The scallops were lightly seared and tasty. For the main course, we both chose Tanba chicken. The chicken was thick and tender, and the sauce was light so as not to overpower the flavor of the chicken. However, the rice portion was a bit small and left us wanting more. For dessert, we had fig cake and strawberry ice cream.

Tonight's first party is at this French restaurant. I've been here for lunch a few times, but it's my first time for dinner, so I'm excited! We were guided to the back of the restaurant, which has a calm atmosphere. There is also a counter at the back where you can use it as a bar. So, let's start with a toast! - Macon-Villages, draft beer (680 yen) Wow, it's a bit expensive but this draft beer is delicious! The white wine was chosen by Saari and it seems to cost around 3,500 yen. And the appetizers that first came out are really good. - Appetizers (for 3 people) They are all good to nibble on. And then, Ponkichi arrived, and at the same time, the carpaccio appeared. - Octopus from Setoda, Hiroshima (1320 yen)... for some reason, one more... (laughs). - Flounder from Setoda, Hiroshima (1420 yen) We ordered two dishes each, but with 9 people, I thought we would only get a little bit of each. However, the portion of one dish was quite substantial. The sauces were subtly different, and both were freshly delivered from Hiroshima this morning and delicious! - Fish & Chips with XO sauce mayonnaise (1260 yen) Surprisingly, this "fish" is conger eel. The crispy batter and fluffy conger eel with spicy mayonnaise dip were incredibly delicious! And the next dish was the most impactful today! - Charcuterie (1680 yen) Wow, this is amazing! A meat-filled hors d'oeuvre with all my favorite meats! The Pork Kintaro also said, "If this was the first dish, you would have felt even more impact." And as we were getting excited talking about old Hyannis, the last dish arrived! - Roast Kyoto chicken with rosemary and garlic flavor (1310 yen) This is incredibly tasty!! Saari even sucked on the bones (laughs). Well, let's move on to the second party now. I'd like to try pork and duck next time. Thank you for the meal!! I am the gourmet king of Omuro, running, eating, and running again. I visited a friend's yakiniku restaurant with the owners on February 13th for the first time. They seemed to have checked in advance, and the reservation went smoothly. When we entered the restaurant, a refreshing young owner greeted us. At first, there wasn't any noticeable service, so I was a little worried (lol). I was shown the wine list to order white wine, and for a restaurant of this size, they had a decent selection. I chose Muscadet and started my meal. Starting with flounder carpaccio, mussels, fried uni, and lamb, the dishes continued. The seasoning was not too strong, and they tried to express the taste of the ingredients dynamically. I added another white wine and also had Syrah. I drank a total of three bottles of wine, and my stomach was quite full. It was around 7000 yen per person. Well, it's French cuisine, so this is to be expected. It may not be at the level of entertaining guests, but it is good enough for regular use. I will definitely visit again. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting. The exterior of the restaurant may be a bit dark, so it might be hard for first-timers to find, but that adds to its charm. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited a restaurant in Kyoto while participating in the Kyoto Labyrinth Puzzle, touring the tourist spots. It was Sunday afternoon, so there were many customers. Thanks to my friend's reservation, we were seated quickly, but it seemed popular with locals too, as many people arrived by bicycle. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very calming. It faces the road, but the low traffic was nice. Also, since it was May when I visited, we ate with the windows open, letting in a nice breeze that made the experience very relaxing. The food was well-prepared. There were about three choices to select from for the dishes you wanted to eat. I chose a fish dish. I didn't take a photo, but the presentation on the plate was very beautiful. The taste was also carefully crafted and delicious. The dessert after the meal was a plate with three varieties. The portions were suitable for girls, and I had a great time enjoying good food.

I always use this restaurant at night. I often go by car, so I take a route a little east from Horikawa Street. (There are about 2 parking spaces in front of the shop.) There are counter seats and table seats, and I think the front is non-smoking. We often visit with 3-4 people, so we usually order a la carte instead of a course and share. First, we enjoy the appetizer. There are always 3 types of appetizers, such as olives, pate, which are very delicious. Then, we order various a la carte dishes, and the ones we particularly like are: - Vegetable/mushroom pickles - Olives - Fresh fish carpaccio - Meat appetizer - Escargot cocotte - Vegetable etuve carpaccio or pickles, etuve, etc. It's also a good point of this restaurant that you can get plenty of vegetables. In addition, there are various delicious individual items such as fish & chips and sausages. We often order the recommended appetizer or main dish of the day written on the blackboard, and it's always the right choice! The desserts and wines are also delicious, so when we have room in our stomachs, we go for desserts as well. Since they are open until a little late at night, I would like to go eat there casually again.

My friend invited me to go to a hotel bar with a discount coupon, so I went there the other day. But before that, we had a meal at a nearby bistro called A La Chalamont. They served us some appetizers with chopsticks, including a salad and a platter of both meat and fish. The cloud-like fried monkfish liver with balsamic sauce was delicious, and the braised beef cheek was tender and flavorful. After enjoying our meal, we walked over to the hotel bar. I like gin-based Gimlet, so I decided to try different variations like Martini, Barracuda, and Sledgehammer. It was fun exploring new flavors, but the next day I felt a bit hungover. Thank you for always coming to read my reviews. I will continue to search for interesting things to share.

For lunch, there are lunch courses and regular courses available. We chose the 1680 yen lunch course, which includes one appetizer, a choice of fish or meat for the main dish, and dessert with coffee. The appetizer of the day was amberjack carpaccio, with four slices of fish and plenty of delicious vegetables. The main dishes we ordered were eel fritters and white pork, both cooked perfectly and satisfying. For dessert, we had black tea ice cream, matcha chiffon cake, and sliced fruit, just the right amount. The restaurant has a charming French countryside atmosphere, with no pretentiousness, and the gentle chanson music playing in the background was delightful. The separate smoking and non-smoking areas were appreciated. Although the price was a bit high for lunch, we would like to visit again for dinner.

This time, I was invited by a colleague from a different industry to have dinner at this restaurant where I usually go. The stylish atmosphere quietly nestled in a residential area is very impressive. It's not surprising that there are many foreign customers. This time, I left it completely up to the chef, and from start to finish, everything was done with care and sincerity. The ingredients used are not particularly extravagant, but you can tell that they are all prepared with great care. The soups, in particular, are quite elaborate and have their own uniqueness. The seasoning shows a sense of taste, and the sincerity towards the customers is conveyed. Such a restaurant is definitely worth visiting multiple times. I would like to visit again and bring friends along.
