Although it was a mochi shop, I hadn't eaten any mochi. It was around 11 o'clock, so there were ohagi and bekomochi available. Ever since seeing Chef Doi's ohagi on today's cooking show, I had been wanting to eat ohagi. I didn't have the energy to make the sweet red bean paste myself, so I tried making it with store-bought paste. I like how Chef Doi doesn't need the red bean paste to be perfectly hidden inside, it's okay even if it's visible. The ohagi here was delicious and reasonably priced at 130 yen. The bekomochi was also to my liking, with a firm and chewy texture. I realized once again that this is indeed a mochi shop.

It seems like I got lost and ended up in Komaba, where I found this sweets shop. By 4 o'clock in the evening, most of the items were already sold out, so I bought two leftover steamed buns. It seems like the mochi items like daifuku and rice cakes are popular here. The steamed buns had delicious red bean paste inside.

This is a mochi shop located along the streetcar line. When I went there on a weekday afternoon, there weren't many options available. I bought two traditional daifuku - one with green bean paste and the other with sweet red bean paste. The mochi was very soft, and the filling was elegant and delicious. The parking lot is a bit difficult to maneuver.
