I had breakfast at the hotel again this time. It was a well-balanced Japanese meal with consistent flavors, giving a true taste of Japanese breakfast. I am always happy to have this kind of breakfast when I come to Kyoto. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

The breakfast was excellent. It was something that made me glad to be Japanese. The service from the staff in kimonos was also wonderful. For guests staying multiple nights at 3000 yen per night, the menu can be changed. While some may find the prices of 6000 yen for lunch and 18,000 yen for dinner to be high.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I had breakfast while staying here. It was a splendid Japanese breakfast with grilled fish and simmered dishes. Personally, I found the simmered dish to be very delicious. After finishing the meal, I was even served coffee. Thank you for the meal.

Where is the restaurant located? The restaurant is closest to the Shijo Subway Station. Exit from the 5th exit and walk south until you see a Seven Eleven, then turn east onto Takatsuji Street. Keep walking and you will see the Nikko Hotel. The doorman here always provides excellent service. The exterior of the restaurant is decorated with a cute Christmas tree. What was the atmosphere of the restaurant like? Inside the hotel, there is a staircase leading to the 2nd floor where the restaurant is located. The interior has a simple and calming feel with black wooden tables. The seating is spacious, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. What was the menu like? The special anniversary menu featured various dishes using Hokkaido ingredients. The meal began with a delicious appetizer of cod milt and vegetables, followed by a clear soup with striped mullet and seaweed. The meal continued with a sashimi platter, grilled cod with raclette cheese, and a main course of Hokkaido beef. The meal ended with a crab rice dish and a seasonal dessert. Overall, the reviewer was highly satisfied with the special anniversary meal featuring Hokkaido ingredients. The only regret was not being able to enjoy sake with the delicious Japanese cuisine. The reviewer looks forward to the next visit.

I used it for breakfast when I stayed at Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto. For breakfast, there was a Japanese breakfast for ¥2,970 (including tax and service charge), which was introduced as "Kyoto breakfast". It was finished with a gentle saltiness using seasonal ingredients such as small dishes, rice porridge, dashimaki tamago, and grilled fish. For rice, I chose "Kyogoku", which is served with freshly cooked rice or a soy sauce-based sauce made with carefully brewed dashi. Homemade shredded sansho pepper and wasabi furikake were also provided on the table. "Ouf chocolat" was also included with the last tea. It was a breakfast that was typical of Kyoto.

We used it for a Buddhist event. It's been about five years since I last had a Buddhist event in Kyoto. My sister-in-law chose the restaurant, and we always go to various high-end places, but this one might be the most convenient. If you have a meal, you get 4 hours of free parking. It's easy to get to Kawaramachi and Kyoto Station, so it's often fully booked. Kyoto has been attracting more and more tourists every year. The waitstaff here are all very efficient and professional. The meal was a luxurious course in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the restaurant, priced at around 6000 yen plus tax, with a delicious matsutake mushroom hot pot included. It's been decades since I had hot pot like that, haha. I was too busy catching up with relatives I hadn't seen in a while, so I couldn't fully enjoy the meal, but I was quite full at the end. The only thing I would have liked is if the rice had been mixed in with the meal, then it would have been perfect.

On the second day, it seems that the content is different for those staying in the three-tiered bento. This morning, we had a three-tiered bento. The quality is not much different, but the feeling is a little better (laughs).

The breakfast at ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel has no distinctive features of Kyoto, except for the plum seaweed tea (lol). It's a typical Japanese breakfast included in the accommodation fee, so I guess it can't be helped...

On New Year's Eve, the kaiseki course at the hotel was served with each dish brought out at the right timing. The sashimi was fresh. To celebrate New Year's Eve, there was also toshikoshi soba.

During my stay at Nikko Princess Kyoto Hotel, I had breakfast here. The plum tea served as a "wake-up cup" was delicious and soothing. They also had wasabi furikake and chirimen jakko furikake, which made the rice even more enjoyable. The service was great, making for a pleasant morning.

Located on the 2nd floor of the ANA Crowne Plaza Kyoto. I used it for breakfast on the 2nd day. You can choose between rice porridge or rice. First, I had roasted green tea and plum tea. Soon after, the set meal arrived. Everything was small and quite sparse... - Salmon: small and dry, not fatty, and cold. - Rolled omelet: a small piece, not very flavorful. - Simmered burdock and pumpkin: good flavor. - Eggplant and grated radish simmered dish: tasty. - Sweet potato tempura - Yuzu pepper flavored somen noodles - Octopus and seaweed salad - Dried young sardines and furikake - Miso soup - Melon - Coffee You can also get pickled plums and grated natto upon request. Rice and miso soup are refillable. It seems like everything was pre-made. It would be better to have more Kyoto-style dishes. I was disappointed especially after the great buffet breakfast yesterday.

About a 5-minute walk south from Hankyu/Subway Shijo-Karasuma Station. Located on the 2nd floor of the Nikko Princess Hotel, this restaurant offers a JAL coupon course lunch for ¥6000 per person. The restaurant also has private seating for tempura dishes. The 11th-anniversary course includes dishes like sweet shrimp, sea bream, matsutake mushrooms, and more. The setting is elegant and suitable for special occasions. Overall, the food was delicious and satisfying. The location is convenient for those coming from Hankyu or Subway lines.

The breakfast at the hotel in Kyoto was as expected, with a choice of rice and porridge and a variety of side dishes. On the first day, there was salmon, on the second day, there was mackerel, so I was hoping for a choice between the two on the third day. Unfortunately, they said they could only offer either salmon or mackerel, and they seemed unable to accommodate guests staying for three consecutive nights. The egg dish on the third day was the same as the first day, and the dessert was the same on the first and second days, only becoming more like a hotel breakfast dessert on the third day. While the breakfast was enjoyable enough for one or two nights, I regretted not opting for the buffet on the ground floor for the third consecutive night. It was very delicious, but with a little more thoughtful service, I could have had a more satisfying experience.

This time, I used it for entertaining guests. The Japanese cuisine in the hotel is a stable taste in a sense. In other words, it has a classical feel and there is no playfulness in the dishes. The service is also normal as it is a hotel. The purpose of use is determined by these factors. This time, I had a seasonal kaiseki meal. Since we were the ones entertaining, I honestly didn't find the dishes very memorable. However, the guests seemed to appreciate it, so I think it was good. If I had to say one thing, the side dishes were delicious. Also, it's inevitable because it's a hotel, but I thought if the cost performance was a little better, I would use it more often!

I went to a restaurant at the Nikko Princess hotel using a gourmet coupon I received. I chose a Japanese meal because that was the mood I was in. The age group was relatively older, with couples from two generations dining together. I made a reservation by phone and opted for Japanese cuisine, which included sashimi for starters, followed by a soup with egg tofu and grilled fish. There were also cold dishes and a bento box with rice, dashimaki tamago, and grilled fish. You could choose between white rice or corn rice, and the meal included pickles and red miso soup. Lastly, we had mango pudding for dessert. I'm not sure about the price, but the quality was decent. The portion was quite filling, and I think older customers might struggle to finish it all. Overall, I suggest improving the quality a bit more and reducing the portion size. Thank you for the meal!

I stayed at Hotel Nikko Princess Hotel and had breakfast in the morning. The breakfast plan included in the room rate was priced at 2500 yen, which didn't bother me at all. The Junior Suite was also amazing! I couldn't believe how delicious the food was in the morning. When I had breakfast, I was served a rolled omelette instead of the onsen egg shown in the photo at the entrance. The simmered dish and this egg were all made with top-notch broth, truly impressive! The thick broth poured over the rice porridge (you can also choose white rice) was excellent, and sprinkling the shredded sansho pepper provided on the side was also a nice touch. The rice porridge is the way to go - it's really good! The tea was poured at just the right time, and the atmosphere was nice. While the hotel offers a buffet breakfast, I prefer a calm and enjoyable breakfast like this one!

I used it when I stayed at the Nikko Princess for 2 nights. I didn't have much appetite because of lack of sleep during the trip, but the grilled salmon was freshly cooked. The miso soup was also made at the right temperature and not pre-made, so it was very delicious. Dessert was also included. On the second day, I had Western food.

I recently visited again. The taste seems to have dropped significantly, perhaps due to a change in hotel ownership. The matsutake mushroom dobinmushi was too salty, and overall, the dishes were not particularly delicious. There were no elaborate side dishes either. Maybe there were too many chrysanthemum-based dishes, and since I'm not a fan of eating flowers, I couldn't fully enjoy them. The service was also terrible, as they completely missed my reservation despite calling the day before. Therefore, I have lowered my rating. I will not visit again. The first time I stayed at Princess, I had a 13,000 yen kaiseki meal. I have also tried kaiseki meals at other hotels in Kyoto, but this one is my personal favorite. No matter what others may think, this place is the best (I insist). Whenever I go to Kyoto wanting to eat this, I always use this hotel. The dishes are delicately flavored in a Kyoto style, with rich dashi and delicious taste. Although the flavors may seem light at first and you may not feel full, by the end, you will be completely satisfied. It's also exciting that the dishes change depending on the season. Even the cheaper options are delicious without cutting corners. The interior only has table seats, with some private rooms but not completely isolated. Becoming a Princess member gives a significant discount in your birth month, which is a great deal.
