On a regular lunch visit, I was craving curry and wanted to go to Ajanta for some naan, but it was too crowded so I ended up at Aiba Curry instead. They have a variety of curry options, including a daily special. I tried the Popeye Curry with a side of fried chicken. The curry was slightly spicy and came with a generous amount of fried egg and spinach. I chose brown rice instead of white rice. Overall, the curry was decent, but it had a commercial curry taste in the aftertaste. Thank you for the meal.

Today I had work near Shijo-Karasuma, so I had an early breakfast and by the time lunch break at 2pm came around, I was really hungry. I decided to go for a lunch spot that offers a big portion, so I ended up at Aiba Curry Restaurant after a few years. The atmosphere inside was calming and welcoming. I ordered the Torikara set with extra rice. Despite the name of the restaurant having "curry" in it, the menu had a variety of options to choose from. After a short wait, my meal arrived. The Torikara set was huge! It came with a mountain of rice, miso soup, pickles, two simmered dishes, salad, Torikara, cream croquette, and hash potatoes. The pickles seemed to be homemade and the Torikara, despite its appearance, had a surprisingly light taste. The portion size was impressive! Personally, I really enjoyed the simmered lotus root. It was incredibly delicious. I could tell that attention to detail was given in every aspect of the meal. I'm glad I found this great restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal! #AibaCurryRestaurant #DeliciousSetMealSpot #CozySetMealRestaurant #Gourmet #GourmetInstagram #WantToConnectWithGourmetLovers #WantToConnectWithFriedChickenLovers #WideVarietyOfSetMealOptions #FriedChickenInstagram #WantToConnectWithSetMealLovers #InstagrammableFriedChicken #DeliciousSalad #PhotoOfAibaCurryRestaurantInKyoto #WantToConnectWithCurryLovers #KyotoCity #KyotoGourmet #ShijoStation #ImpressivePortionSize #ImpressiveRicePortion #Japan #Kyoto #Gourmet #JapaneseFood #PopeyeCurry

I thought it was a curry specialty store when I entered, but they have various menus such as set meals. However, I stuck to my original plan and ordered the katsu curry for 1030 yen with an additional topping of cheese for 150 yen. The curry is not very spicy, so it would be nice if the spiciness could be adjusted.

Oshare Curry Shokudo ♡ Kyoto ❤️ Kawaramachi ♡ ☑️ Popeye Curry ¥960 ♡ I went to Aiba Curry Shokudo♪ The crispy egg and spinach in this European-style curry was delicious, with a unique flavor of spices. I was torn between the cutlet curry, but I was drawn to Popeye ☺️ The restaurant is spacious with set meals available, and it has a nice atmosphere where nearby workers often come. Also, the plates are super cute⸜♡⸝ Thank you for the meal, it was delicious♪♡

During a visit to Kansai, I found a curry restaurant open during the New Year holidays. I was looking for a place serving European-style curry as I thought spicy curry might be too much for me after New Year's. The menu offered beef and chicken curry, with several toppings available. The recommended choice was the beef curry. The beef curry was priced at 930 yen, with the option to add toppings such as fried chicken for an additional 250 yen. The appearance and aroma of the curry assured me it was a classic European-style curry. The combination of vegetables and whole chicken broth was familiar to those from Kansai. The amber-colored curry seemed to have absorbed the essence of Kansai's dashi culture. It reminded me of the rich flavor of home-cooked curry. The sauce had a hint of sweetness, making it easy to eat, with a slight spiciness that followed. The beef slices were not too thin, retaining their shape while being well-cooked. The fried chicken had a strong marinade, resulting in a slightly burnt taste, but the bitterness added an interesting touch. After finishing the meal, the cute design on the plate brought a warm feeling. When I asked about it during payment, I learned that the plates were made by a ceramic artist acquaintance. Despite being a curry restaurant, they also offered Western and set menu options. If it were closer, I would definitely make this place a regular lunch spot.

The curry served here is not your typical curry, but rather a yakimeshi curry. The combination of yakimeshi and curry is surprisingly harmonious, bringing out the best in each other. The deliciousness of it is so irresistible that before you know it, you've finished the whole plate. And a few days later, you'll find yourself craving it again. I briefly considered adding a salad as a side, but opted for spinach topping instead. And that turned out to be the right choice. The crunchy spinach added a nice accent to the dish. If it's under 1,000 yen, it's definitely worth it. Yakimeshi Curry: 1,000 yen, Extra serving: 250 yen, Spinach topping: 180 yen, Total: 1,430 yen.

Beef Curry (930 yen) One of the specialties in Kansai, including Kyoto, is curry. In recent years, spice curry has been a trendsetter, and there are many spice curry shops in Kyoto as well. I have been eating curry for quite some time. A few years ago, when I visited TADKA in Kyoto, I was amazed by its novelty, but now every place serves spice curry. When it comes to wanting regular curry, places like Coco Ichibanya with their pre-packaged feel are out of the question. European-style curry using curry roux. Simple Japanese curry that doesn't try to be unique. It has become difficult to find such places. Aiba Curry is a curry that sets itself apart from spice curry. The carefully cooked umami flavor is expressed simply. I came back after a long time and confirmed its taste once again. However, it seems they have raised their prices. In this day and age, it's unavoidable. I understand, but curry is getting closer to 1000 yen. Curry, like ramen, is a national dish in Japan, so its positioning and pricing should be oriented towards the common people. But is a price of 1000 yen a casual national dish, or a luxury? That's the thought that comes to mind. Do I want to pay this much to eat here? That's the question. The restaurant is not to blame, but with the rise of spice curry, curry, which used to be a commoner's dish, has somehow turned into a delicacy.

Love & Lock is synonymous with this shop. The background music in the store is definitely rock, and there are many female customers. It's a nice shop with a lingering Showa era atmosphere. I'm not good with spicy food, but I was able to eat the beef curry I ordered. The beef was also delicious with plenty of chunks. Thank you for the meal.

Beef curry for 880 yen, with fried chicken topping for 210 yen, and orange juice for 150 yen, totaling 1240 yen. It was different from the curry I usually eat at home or from Coco Ichibanya, but it was okay. It was my first time trying beef tendon in curry, which was good.

I was feeling hungry, so I stopped by a curry restaurant. There were various types of curry to choose from, but after much deliberation (as always, haha), I decided to be greedy and go for the omelette curry! It's a great combination of omelette and curry. After making my decision, I looked around the restaurant and saw the customer next to me enjoying their food so much! It looked delicious! So, I couldn't resist and ordered an additional dish - chicken karaage! You can order just one piece. The chicken karaage arrived first and it was bigger than I had imagined! When I took a bite, the skin was crispy and the flavor was delicious! It was also quite filling due to its size. The omelette curry was also delicious with the runny egg and perfectly spiced curry sauce. When you eat the egg and curry together, it's even more delicious! I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied.

In the past, this area used to be filled with electrical appliance stores, but now as I walked south down Shijo Teramachi, I stumbled upon a curry restaurant called "Aiba Curry Shokudo." I finally made it there during their opening hours. They have a variety of set meals besides curry, making it a tough decision, but I ultimately went with the curry. The classic "Katsu Curry" had a perfect balance of sweetness, umami, and a lingering spiciness. It's a European-style curry done right!

"Aiba Curry Shokudo" is a curry restaurant located in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City. Despite having a rating of 3.37 on Tabelog, it ranks 458th out of approximately 2800 restaurants in the "Kyoto City Shimogyo-ku" ranking. In the "Kyoto City Shimogyo-ku [Curry Rice]" ranking, it is ranked 7th. I visited for lunch and ordered the Beef Curry for 880 yen. The curry was delicious with a slight spicy kick, making it irresistible. The dish included beef chunks and the portion size was generous. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere and offers other menu items like Pork Loin Black Vinegar Stir-Fry Set and Chicken Thigh Grilled with Grated Ponzu Set. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience at this popular curry spot near Kyoto Kawaramachi Station.

It's been a while since I visited "Aiba Curry Dining" for lunch. It was crowded, so I waited in the chairs inside for a bit. Now, what should I order today? After looking at the menu, I ordered the following:
- Beef curry ¥880 (with white rice)
- Topping: fried egg ¥150
- Mini salad that comes with the set
It had been a while since I last had it, but the curry was sweet at first and then the spiciness kicked in. The beef was cooked just right, with a good meaty texture. It's the kind of curry that you crave occasionally and can get addicted to. I'll definitely come back when I have a craving for it again ❤️

Today I visited a restaurant near my workplace called Popeye Curry. I ordered the curry with a topping of fried egg and spinach, and chose brown rice over white rice. The curry had a strong punch to it that gradually built up, and it was very delicious. I also had coffee after the meal, and the total cost was a bit high at 1,060 yen.

I visited during a late lunch time. It was also not crowded in the evening, so it was easy to use! I ordered the special curry. It was a curry with a generous amount of chicken wings, chicken legs, pork cutlet, and beef, totaling 4.5 pieces. The sauce was sweet at first, followed by a slight spiciness, creating a gentle flavor curry! Thank you for the meal!

Overall, I was planning to go to the ramen shop in front of this store, but the line was too long, so I decided to eat here. I ordered the pork cutlet curry with brown rice. The curry was unique, not very spicy at first, but as I kept eating, it started to have a numbing spiciness similar to mapo tofu. It was surprisingly good. The brown rice paired well with the curry. The cost performance was good, and the retro Showa-era atmosphere inside the restaurant was quite nice. The only downside was that the pork cutlet was thin and tough. Next time, I would like to challenge the shrimp fry curry.

We were a group of 4 and used a table seat. We ordered the Popeye curry (spinach) lunch set. The portion size and price were just right, and the taste was delicious. For some reason, there are many curry restaurants in this area.
