The Kansai branch manager meeting of Kawachiya was held at the Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto for 1 night and 2 days. I experienced the "pain of having to meet people I don't want to see." It was tough. Anyway, that's not important. The head office section chief, Mr. Oosumi, and I, along with three people, visited this restaurant. Mr. Oosumi used to work at the head office, so he has a long-standing relationship with the section chief. Kawachiya kind of interrupted, but please forgive us. We headed to this place after the second party, but it seems like everyone was heading to Gion. I saw several people. Everyone deliberately avoided making eye contact (laughs). This restaurant is located along Kawabata Street. It only has a counter, but you can see the food being grilled up close over charcoal, which gets you excited. We started with sashimi, and Mr. Oosumi took care of the ordering. That person is very good at communicating, so he talked to the staff and had the dishes served for three of us. It's much appreciated. With Kawachiya, you just have to say your favorite cuts. We enjoy the sashimi as it is. We have things like chicken breast, liver, and heart, which we eat with ginger soy sauce or sesame oil. It's incredibly delicious. Next up is grilled items. We had chicken tenderloin! The texture is amazing. We also had chicken tail! You ordered the tough part, Oosumi-chan! We ate more, but there are no more pictures. Basically, I hardly ate at Kawachiya until the second party, and I didn't drink. I was constantly being overshadowed by the "people I don't want to see." Kawachiya kept apologizing. Why? It's annoying. But such things dissipate during this meal with these two. We also had grilled chicken wings. And green onions too! I had shochu on the rocks from Mitsutake. Oosumi-san and the others had highballs. Well, in the end, they mixed it for me. The restaurant was probably closed, but they extended it because our conversation didn't end. I'm sorry. It was delicious, very much so! I'll come back again! I got carried away and left my business card. They'll know my profession. It's not a big deal in Kyoto, but still. Thank you for the meal!
