After having lunch, I climbed Mt. Hiei to refresh myself. Even if I used the cable car or ropeway, it was over 18,000 steps. After descending, I sweated at Higashiyama-yu in Hyakumanben, and for dinner today, I had pizza. I researched various places and found this restaurant. It seems to be a popular place with a time limit for reservations. Since there is no parking lot, I took a city bus to Ginkakuji and the restaurant was right in front of the bus stop on the opposite side. Carefully crossing the road, I arrived at the restaurant. They serve authentic pizzas baked in a pizza oven at this Michelin Bib Gourmand-listed restaurant. The prices are reasonable and you can get full. There are no appetizers or side dishes, it's a place to enjoy pizza. It's a small shop with good turnover and flawless operation. The piping hot pizza, just baked in front of you, is served in a short time. In the meantime, many takeout customers also visited. Today, I had three types: - Margherita with mozzarella cheese and basil - Puttanesca - Pesto Genovese They are all big sizes around 30cm, and the slices are large so it's perfect for sharing. If you check Instagram, you'll see that there is also a takeout-only shop at the Hyakumanben intersection, so I would like to use it again.

The summer vegetable pizza and the Genovese pizza were both delicious, but the D.O.C. pizza was the best! It had a rich mozzarella flavor. I want to eat the crispy Neapolitan pizza again!

I ordered the popular No. 1 Margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella for 2,189 yen. The acidity of the tomatoes and the mozzarella cheese complement each other well and taste delicious. They say one pizza is enough for one adult, but I found it a bit lacking.

Amazing pizza. I don't want to easily say it's divine, but it's the kind of taste that makes you want to. I went with my mother and sister, and we each ordered our favorite pizzas. I chose Quattro Formaggi. My mother and sister ordered something like the Margherita in the picture, and one with ham and mushrooms. It said one pizza per person is recommended, so we each ordered one, but when the first one arrived, we all looked at each other and said, "Isn't it big?" However, we quickly devoured it. The lovely wife had a great smile and provided excellent service, while the husband had trained in Naples. He even let our kids watch how the pizza was baked in the oven. The interior had a Napoli street corner vibe and a cozy atmosphere despite being busy. The first dish arrived within a few minutes, and another one came after we finished the first. You can order as many as you want, and they will always be served hot. The crispy yet chewy dough with a hint of wheat aroma was delicious. The summer vegetable pizza was loaded with mini tomatoes, zucchinis, bell peppers, and eggplants, showcasing the quality of the ingredients. The Ripieno had mushrooms and ricotta cheese as a highlight, with rich flavors. Our family particularly enjoyed the Ripieno. I highly recommend Napoli in Kyoto!

I wanted to eat pizza for lunch, so I visited Pizzeria Dachiro! It was quite busy, but I was able to get in without waiting in line. The pizza I ordered came quickly, and I was able to enjoy it in a good mood! It was delicious with a strong garlic flavor!!! For those who love pizza, definitely check it out!!

Sunday lunch near Ginkaku-ji for the first time. I made a same-day reservation for 1:30 pm. We were seated at a table right after entering. The location is in front of a bus stop, but the weather was great that day, with the doors and windows wide open, letting in light and breeze, creating a sense of dining outside. Good COVID-19 measures in place. The interior is air-conditioned, so it's cool inside. What we had: Moretti non-alcoholic beer, San Pellegrino water, buffalo mozzarella Margherita pizza, and asparagus pizza. The service was very polite. When my companion wanted to take a picture of the oven, they gladly allowed it. The menu consists of only pizzas. They may look big, but the dough is light and easy to eat. The classic Margherita had slightly watery tomato sauce, causing it to drip and make the dough soggy. The white asparagus pizza, made with imported asparagus from Italy, had a great balance of flavors and was delicious. They also offer dessert pizzas, but one piece per person is the limit. Pizza is best enjoyed with a larger group.

It was loaded with toppings, and the Genovese sauce had a great basil flavor ✩.*˚ I highly recommend this place, especially since they offer UberEATS delivery, which might be a good option now when dining in is a bit concerning.

On a regular Thursday at 12:40, the restaurant was not full but it seems like making a reservation would be a good idea. I made a phone reservation around 11:00 on the same day. The parking lot is at a nearby coin parking. I ordered the popular No.1 Buffalo Mozzarella Margherita for ¥1850 excluding tax and San Pellegrino sparkling water for ¥450 excluding tax, totaling ¥2530 including tax. The food arrived in just 5 minutes! The knife cuts well, which is nice. The crust is fragrant and very delicious! The staff's service was also good. Thank you for the meal.

For lunch, I had pizza at Chef Chihiro's Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. It was about a 20-minute walk from Demachiyanagi. It happened to be close to my alma mater. I chose the limited edition pizza, a masterpiece made with rare cheese. The crust was delicious. I also visited the Silver Pavilion. Thank you for the meal.

It's delicious. The crust is almost flat with no edge left, very classic Napoli style. It's light and crispy, so easy to finish. Both of you (are you a couple?) were pleasant and made the time enjoyable. They were accommodating during the slow hours and listened to our requests. Thank you.
