Edamame cheese bread 162 yen (tax included)
Sweet potato cream bread 150 yen (tax included)
Visited before 11am, a few customers here and there
Seems like there are many soft bread options
The sweet potato bread with university potato was delicious
I felt like the filling was a bit small, but at this price, it's cheap
Thank you for the meal

Delicious! This bakery is very popular. I went in the afternoon and the baker was continuously baking bread in the kitchen. The custard in the cream puff was rich and tasty. The baked curry bread was light and not greasy. The red bean paste bun and croissant were sold out.

A bakery with great cost performance. The French toast had a good texture with plenty of sugar. The name of the dish is "Aoi Matsu French," but I'm not sure of the origin. Another dish is the so-called condensed milk French, named "Hand-kneaded condensed milk." The price for these two items is 305 yen! They mainly offer regular types of bread. It is located near Seimei Shrine and the main store of Tsuruya Yoshinobu.

Bakeries usually have higher prices compared to supermarket pastries because they bake everything themselves. But when I walked into this bakery and saw the prices, I was surprised! The average price is 150 yen. So, everyone buys a lot when they come here. There are many bakeries along Demachiyanagi Street, each with its own unique charm, which I really like.

Delicious yet affordable. Stylish yet casual. Whenever I visit, there's always something freshly baked that I want to eat. I end up buying both bread and freshly baked pastries. The scent from the bakery wafts out onto the street. Inside, I can't decide between the sweet and savory options. I was looking forward to the chili dog, but I ended up eating it before taking a picture (tears). The bacon epi, warmed up with soup for breakfast, was too delicious! I wish I had bought more. The red bean paste bun and cream bun were for my kids' snacks. They both wanted to try both, so we split them and enjoyed both.

The bakery that always has a long line and smells amazing every time I pass by♡ Today, I was lucky to walk right in and even then, it was crowded. The staff kept announcing freshly baked ○○ and bringing out trays of new items, making it hard to choose. They had sweet pastries coated in sugar, three types of curry bread, and a weekly special like a fluffy omelette burger. The baguettes looked so delicious, but are they affordable? The fact that they are both tasty and inexpensive is part of their popularity. Today, I bought some red bean donuts, curry bread, and canelé. The red bean donuts were amazing, and the canelé was authentic and perfect for tea time. The line never seems to stop, but the freshly baked items keep coming. I'll have to try their meal bread next time(^○^)

Pandobleu Horikawa Imadegawa in Nishijin. There are quite a few bakeries in the Imadegawa area where I work. I recently found out that they are featured in magazines. I am exploring them. I can buy bread quickly while on the move and have a quick lunch while working, which is wallet-friendly. On this day, I went to "Pandobleu" near the Imadegawa Omiya bus stop. I often pass by it, but it always has a line waiting due to entry restrictions, which caught my attention. It's a small shop, so the number of people who can enter at the same time is limited, and it's a popular shop with customers constantly coming in. Even if they run out of bread, freshly baked ones keep coming out, and you can choose and buy freshly baked bread. And most importantly, it's cheap. The basic price is 120 yen, and the side dishes are 130 yen. Sandwiches are also 130 yen! It used to be all 100 yen, but it's still cheap. Golden Curry Bread 130 yen Crispy, freshly baked or rather freshly fried curry bread. Slightly spicy but mild with fukujinzuke (pickles). The texture is enjoyable. Bacon and Egg Bread 130 yen Fluffy bread with bacon and egg. It has a satisfying taste with mayonnaise sauce. Cream Bread 120 yen A traditional cream bread. The crispy pon snack-like topping is a nice touch. Ultimate Cream Bread 120 yen The ultimate cream bread made with Tahitian vanilla. The chewy butter roll-like dough is delicious. It's close to my workplace, so I will be a regular customer.

A delicious and easy-to-eat bakery where you can casually buy bread. The freshly fried curry bread was piled high, but I'm sure it will sell out quickly. The variety of choices is also attractive. They frequently introduce new products, so I think you won't get tired of visiting. Perfect for a snack while exploring the Nishijin area. You can pay with PayPay (LINE Pay).

■Visit Date: February 5, 2022■Items Received: Refer below■MEMOVisited on February 5, 2022. Located in Horikawa Imadegawa, this shop was quite popular with a line extending outside. Due to COVID-19, they limit entry to 4 people at a time, so we waited our turn patiently. On this day, I purchased:・Walnut Maple Bread・Crab Cream Croquette・Strawberry Daifuku・Earl Grey Melon Pan. All the bread was delicious. The variety of bread available at reasonable prices is definitely a big draw for this place. The Crab Cream Croquette Bread was substantial with a generous amount of crab cream croquette filling. Overall, I enjoyed some delicious bread.■Bloghttps://ay-style.net/

Kyoto, a fiercely competitive area for bakeries, probably has the most affordable pricing among popular shops. All prices include tax: 180 yen for shokupan (Japanese bread loaf) and the rest at 120 yen. I visited with some skepticism about the quality given the low prices, and timidly ordered a shokupan loaf and donuts. There was a bit of trouble at the checkout, making me think I wouldn't return if the taste wasn't great. The donuts were 120 yen, and my son, upon tasting them, happily remarked on how cheap they were. They were more like fried bread than traditional donuts, with a dense yet delicious texture. The shokupan, priced at 180 yen, was toasted the next morning and had a good crumb and crust, with a light sweetness. It easily rivaled more expensive loaves I've had recently. If this is the level of quality, I can see why it's called a top shop among 100 others. I've found a great new bakery and look forward to trying their Danish pastries next time. With Ousset Bianco and Ohayo Biscuit nearby, it's worth adding this bakery to your sweets and bread shop tour.

- Good points: Great cost performance
- Points to note: There was a line
- No parking lot
- Rule: Limit on the number of people entering at the same time
This bakery is located in Horikawa Imadegawa. When I passed by on a holiday at 8 am, there was a line of people. It turned out to be a bakery. The smell was so good at the exact opening time, so I decided to line up. Since it's a small shop, there is a limit of up to 4 people entering at the same time. Watching the customers who entered first, they were all buying a lot of bread. Everyone seemed to be wealthy, but once I entered, I understood why. The prices at this shop are incredibly cheap! Basically, one piece is 120 yen including tax. Even the sandwich bread like BLT costs only 120 yen. I was worried about where they make a profit. This means it's okay to buy a lot. I wanted to buy a lot too, but I had plans after, so I just bought a few to snack on. I bought a chunky sausage BLT bread and tried it immediately.
- Chunky Sausage: Still slightly warm. A whole sausage is inside. Topped with mayonnaise, and ketchup inside, very traditional. The bread itself is delicious. The fact that this is only 120 yen is still shocking.
- BLT: Inside there are thinly sliced bacon, fresh lettuce, and tomato. The freshness can be felt. I know I keep saying this, but this is also 120 yen. The cost performance is at a level that is hard to find elsewhere. I want to buy about 5 next time. Oh, the world is vast.

I visited after a long time. Pan de Bleu Horikawa Imadegawa store. There are quite a lot of people coming in and out of this shop. The bread is still only 112 yen + tax, which is amazing value for money. I like the sandwich and walnut bread. They were both delicious. If I were to use them regularly, it would be financially difficult unless the price is similar to that of a supermarket, but it is possible at this bakery. It would be nice if it were closer to my house. It was delicious.

Last month, I happened to pass by the popular bakery "Akamek" on my way back. It was bustling with people being drawn in. Curious, I entered the store hoping to find a Croissant Amande. They didn't have it, but I was surprised by how cheap everything was. Most of the bread in the shop was only 112 yen before tax! It didn't look cheap at all. Despite the low price, everything looked delicious. I ended up buying some bread for my family and a cute little tart. - Salmon and Mushroom Tartine (112 yen before tax): The amount of filling made me wonder if they were making a profit. It was packed with salmon, mushrooms, white sauce, and cheese all melted together, and it was so satisfying. - Master Burger Fried Chicken (112 yen before tax): My child had this. The bread was soft and the sweet and savory chicken was delicious, according to them. - Assorted Tarts (Banana, Raspberry, Blueberry) (112 yen before tax): The fruit and custard were tasty, but the tart crust was just okay. It wasn't crispy, more soft and chewy. I personally prefer the base and edges of tarts, so this didn't really appeal to me. Nevertheless, all of this for 112 yen each? I was impressed. I would definitely buy the Tartine again even if it was more expensive. I wish this bakery was closer to my home. Thank you for the meal.

I headed east on Imadegawa Street and came across a small, cute bakery after passing Petit Mec. It was a popular shop with a constant stream of customers. I had no idea about this place, but decided to give it a try. I was a bit hesitant when I walked in because all the items were priced at 112 yen each, but I still bought a few things. The Bacon Epi had a chewy texture with bacon inside, sprinkled with black pepper for a nice touch. The Chili Dog had a spicy chili sauce and sausage in a hot dog. The Fondant Chocolat was a cocoa dough with a gooey chocolate center, topped with a heart-shaped cookie. The Beef Tendon Curry was a curry bun filled with plenty of beef tendon in a black curry sauce. The Chocolate Banana was self-explanatory, but surprisingly good quality for the price. Due to the price constraint, the wheat flavor was a bit weak, especially in the hard bread. However, the Beef Tendon Curry had a strong beef flavor and the Chocolate Banana Danish had a dense texture. It's definitely not the quality you would expect for 112 yen. It's no wonder the locals keep coming back to this place.

In December 2019, during my first visit to Kyoto, I found myself walking a lot, almost unbelievably so. I stumbled upon a bakery on my way from Shimogamo Shrine to Nijo Castle. It had a cute exterior and many local families were there. The variety of bread was impressive, and I was lucky to catch some freshly baked ones. What surprised me the most was the price - all items were only 120 yen including tax. It's amazing to find such affordable bread in this day and age. I bought three types of bread: ham and shiso panini, sausage bread, and cream bread. The dough was soft and had a gentle sweetness. The panini, being freshly baked, was delicious even when I ate it back at the hotel. The custard in the cream bread was thick and satisfyingly sweet. I wish I had a bakery like this in my neighborhood, it would be so convenient and delightful. Thank you for the meal.

Located west of Horikawa Imadegawa, about 10 shops from Tsuruya Yoshinobu, right next to Mizuho Bank ATM, this popular bakery in Kyoto, one of the top bread consumption areas in the country, where famous bakeries gather. It is crowded with bread and customers. As a popular store, they offer a variety of delicious bread such as toast, pastries, baguettes, sandwiches, and side dish bread, all priced at 120 yen each! (tears) This time, I chose the Salmon and Mushroom Tartine, Taramo, the limited edition Black Master Burger Garlic Chicken, the Vegetable-packed Tuna Sandwich, and the Special Roast Tonkatsu W Sandwich! All of them had great volume, taste, and of course, the price was reasonable! Thank you for the amazing experience!

I visited a small and stylish bakery. I bought some soft sweet breads - a blueberry tart and an apple compote. These are not just bread, they are sweets. They are fluffy and very delicious. They are so soft and delicate that next time I will bring a flat paper bag from there. It was delicious. I will visit again.

I always noticed that there were constantly customers coming in and out when I passed by, so today I decided to step inside for the first time! The store was filled with delicious-looking bread, and most of the menu items were priced at 112 yen + tax, which is quite reasonable, so many people were buying multiple items! I bought a variety of things, but my total came to around 600 yen, so it felt like I got a good deal. The Takumi Bakery bread was quite tasty and seemed like a hit menu item within its price range. I think this might be part of a franchise because I've seen similar menu items at other stores, but each store still feels a bit different... This place was quite delicious!

I found an amazing shop!!! Almost all the items are priced at only 112 yen. At first, it may seem like "There are other bakeries like Hankyu Bakery or 100 yen bread shops," but at the register, the staff will ask you, "This bread is 150 yen, is that okay?" without realizing that most items are actually 112 yen each, due to the luxurious lineup. Burgers, tartar burgers, tonkatsu sandwiches, all for 100 yen. There are also items like anko-filled mochi bread, mozzarella bread with plenty of cheese, and tarts! I bought a 112 yen Mont Blanc bread and a 150 yen sausage bread. The sausage bread had a thick sausage on top, which alone could be worth 150 yen. Even when cold, it maintained a crispy and juicy texture. The herbs were not too strong, but the thickness and fullness of the sausage provided enough satisfaction. It was generously topped with mayo and tomato sauce. The bread was slightly firmer than typical sausage bread. The Mont Blanc bread had custard, chestnut cream, and chestnuts inside. The chestnut cream was plentiful and delicious, with a noticeable chestnut flavor and good texture. The bread dough was not specially tailored to the toppings but was still tasty. These breads were surprisingly good for their price! I look forward to trying their burgers, sandwiches, tarts, and more next time.

When walking along Imadegawa Street in Kyoto, I came across a bright glass-fronted shop and casually peeked inside to find a bakery. There were many delicious-looking breads displayed even from the outside of the shop. Upon entering, I was surprised to see that almost all the items were priced at 108 yen (including tax), including sandwiches. It was such an affordable price that I ended up buying a lot. I got sandwiches, hamburgers, curry buns, and more. I was worried if the volume of sandwiches and hamburgers for this price was okay, but the taste was above average. With a wide variety of deli breads available, having a shop like this near my home would be very convenient. Kyoto is well-equipped with bakeries, which is enviable!
