Head east on the road at the base of the Toshigawa Bridge on the Aya side. After a while, you will come across a shop. The parking lot is about 50 meters ahead on the left gravel area. Inside the shop, there are tables with gas roasters. There are also 2-3 counter seats, making it convenient for solo diners. The blackboard in the center of the shop displays today's recommendations, with the word "Yan" written on it. Curious about what "Yan" is, you look at the menu. Oh, they have game meat too! Seeing this kind of menu always tempts you to try something new. However, in a new place, it's better to stick to the standard menu to see if it suits your taste. So, you check out the regular menu. Not particularly interested in prime cuts, you opt for a menu from the offal section. Prices range from 500 to 800 yen per serving, which seems a bit pricey, but you're unsure about the quality and quantity at this price point. Since there weren't many options for single items, you decide to order the top offal menu item, the "Assorted Beef Offal Trio" (1400 yen). When you inquire about the three types, you find out they are Maruchou, Heart, and Yan. Yan again! You ask where Yan comes from, and you're told it's from the area between the second and third stomachs. Interesting. The dishes arrive after a short wait. Yan has a unique visual appearance. You grill them briefly on the net, as they are pre-coated with sauce. Maruchou is tricky to gauge doneness, as you rarely order it, but you decide to give it a try. It tastes sweet due to the fat content. However, at your age, excessive fat can be overwhelming. Heart looks fresh and has a good flavor, making it a delicious dish. Now, you're curious about Yan. It has a texture similar to Mino, with a blend of Senmai and Mino-like texture and flavor. It's delicious and suits your taste preferences. The unique offal flavor pairs well with the sauce. You quickly finish the meal, which was overall delicious. Although a bit pricey, you felt it was worth it. If they start offering lunch, you would definitely return. You remember reading somewhere about them considering starting lunch service. You hope they do. It was a tasty meal. Thank you.
