It is a Japanese tea specialty shop located on the main street of Kami-shichiken, which leads from the east gate of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine to the intersection of Marutamachi Nanahonmatsu-dori. The shop used to be a tea shop, with a traditional townhouse appearance of white walls with dark brown vertical lattice. A large round sign with the word "Tea" in white letters is displayed next to the entrance. The front part of the shop is for sales, the back part is a cafe, and further back is a garden with cafe tables. The lunch set on Sundays includes marinated eggplant, simmered fern and konjac, three types of appetizers (sesame tofu, rolled omelet, black beans), rice, and miso soup. The marinated eggplant, in particular, is delicious with a strong miso flavor. The lunch set is reasonably priced and satisfying. Later on, the reviewer stumbled upon the shop while walking around Kami-shichiken and decided to have lunch there. The menu had only one option, which was tempura. The tempura consisted of shrimp, sweet potato, shishito pepper, and kakiage, served with matcha salt. The tempura was crispy and the matcha flavor enhanced the taste of the ingredients. Side dishes like tamagoyaki and kinpira were also delicious. The reviewer also tried the matcha ice cream for dessert, which had a rich and delicious green tea flavor. The total cost for lunch and ice cream was affordable. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.
