I had a delicious bowl of simple yet best-tasting Chashumen and a mini Chashu Don. Both dishes exceeded my expectations with their flavors. The soup and noodles were orthodox but had depth, lacking strong individuality or flashiness, yet they were exemplary ramen that I thoroughly enjoyed. Although the place may not stand out at first glance, it serves very tasty ramen that I highly recommend.

- Atmosphere
The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy for families to visit as it faces a main street.
- Dish
The ramen comes with normal chashu, simmered pork belly, boiled egg, green onions, bean sprouts, and meat miso chili oil. The soup is made from pork bones and has a unique thick texture that clings to the noodles. The thin noodles and flavorful soup complement each other well. The sweet and savory simmered meat miso and tender pork belly add a satisfying volume to the dish.

- Overall Impression
The well-cooked chashu had a rich flavor, and the thin noodles paired perfectly with the unique thick soup. The combination of flavors was delicious!

Visited on a scorching Sunday afternoon in July 15, 2018, a little past 1pm. There were only 2 customers already there. It seems like this place has recently opened, so most people probably don't even know it exists yet. It's located in Yamashina, and if you mention it as "Menya Yu" it should be easy to find. The interior of the restaurant was pretty much the same as before. I ordered the Char Siu Ramen, and asked for the noodles to be firm. The soup was a cloudy chicken broth with a soy sauce base. At first glance, it looked like Wakayama Ramen. The noodles were thin and had a strong, flavorful taste. The Char Siu had lean meat, so maybe it was made from pork leg? Overall, it felt like a traditional ramen shop.
