It is a calm shop with many regular customers. Despite the heat, I enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, which was pesticide-free and brewed using a Nel drip. I had it black and it had a rich flavor. In a time where there are many foreign coffee shops, it's nice to occasionally enjoy coffee in a different environment. They also sell coffee beans by weight starting from 200g, so I ordered a custom blend.

The weather was nice and it was a perfect day for cafe hopping. Although our original destination was a different cafe, we were drawn to this cafe called "Wood Note" as we passed by. The exterior and interior of the shop exuded a warm wooden atmosphere. Everything from the floor, chairs, to tables were made of wood, creating a soothing space. While new and clean cafes are nice, these cabin-style shops have their own charm. I ordered a Japanese sweets set, and my wife ordered a cake set. The Japanese sweet of the day was "Uguisu Mochi" which was incredibly soft and delicious. The cake was a pound cake, rich in flavor and very tasty. We are grateful for stumbling upon this unexpected cafe!

After having lunch, we stopped by here and ordered a cocoa café au lait set with Japanese sweets. There were free notebooks available, so we flipped through them while waiting for our order. The Japanese sweet was like a sweet potato bun, and it had a homemade feel to it. It tasted delicious. My wife had the café au lait while I had the cocoa, and we enjoyed our time in this cozy café with a warm wooden interior. It was a lovely café that we both liked!

Ranked as the top pure coffee shop in a very private way, this place stands out as a log cabin-style cafe near Eizan Electric Railway in Ichijoji, away from the city. The space reflects the overwhelming hobbies and dreams of the master, including bicycles, Irish music, birds, slime molds, and mountain walks. Recently, there has been an increase in customers from Taiwan and overseas, but I usually go alone on weekdays during the day and sometimes end up spending a wonderful time alone. On Tuesdays, the regulars gather for pure coffee shop tours, bird watching, and mountain walks. On Mondays and the first Friday and fourth Saturday of the month, there are Irish music sessions, with a mix of students and skilled musicians. Soft drinks include Green Eyes organic black tea and coffee, with various teas served with the master's homemade Japanese sweets. It is also possible to have a set with Mara's cakes. For alcohol, there is a carefully selected izakaya and a selection of sake, wine, and bottled beers like Ebisu and Guinness, sourced by the master. The photo is from a movie screening event we held. Located in Ichijoji, a small mountain hut-style cafe where Irish music flows. Despite being described as small, this shop is truly tiny. However, it has a strong presence in my heart due to the owner's personality, the gentle drinks and meals free of additives from all over, and most importantly, the heartwarming Irish music. The first time I visited, it felt nostalgic. It was like finding a hut in the mountains, a sense of familiarity and déjà vu. Since it was cold, I had a warm mixed grain porridge. It was comforting. The music playing was Irish, and I had to resist the urge to start dancing. The owner talked about coffee at a good timing. The next time I visited, we chatted about the fact that everything is additive-free. Pande Radi is a bakery I wouldn't have known about if I hadn't come here. Nothing added, nothing taken away, only instruments and coffee beans are subtracted. With this attitude, you can eat and drink with peace of mind, and relax naturally. I want to go listen to live Irish music on Mondays and the first Friday of the month at 8 pm.

Woodnote, which celebrated its 23rd anniversary this year, is a charming little shop that doesn't look like it has been around since before I was born. It is located in the same row as Saifonte. It is the only place with a lodge-like exterior, so you should be able to find it easily. It is located next to the bakery, Toho. It is a really small shop with only about 4 tables and a few counter seats. Irish music is playing. Today's order was brown rice stir-fry for 650 yen, which comes with cold barley tea and pickles. 650 yen is cheap, I think. The brown rice was cooked a bit firm, with a nice red color and a good texture. It wasn't greasy, and had plenty of vegetables, making it delicious. The seasoning was a bit light, letting the flavor of the vegetables shine. The pickles were also natural and tasty. I went alone, and at that time I was the only customer. The master naturally struck up a conversation with me, which left a very good impression. And he was quite cool. We talked about various natural food restaurants in Sakyo Ward at that time. Smoking is allowed inside the restaurant. However, they may refuse entry when there are small children or a lot of customers. This consideration is very much appreciated, as it allows smokers to feel at ease while smoking. In the evenings, they have sessions or even small art exhibitions.

About 300 meters down from Eiden Ichijoji Station, you will find Woodnote. I visited around 4:30 PM when the sun was setting in the west. Upon entering, the familiar log house welcomed me with lively Irish tunes. It was a hot day, so I decided to have an iced coffee for 380 yen. The coffee was served in a handmade ceramic cup, which had a warm and gentle touch despite being cold. The accompanying sweetener was slightly brown and not too sweet, reminiscent of honey. Everything served here uses natural ingredients, making it safe and enjoyable to consume. The iced coffee had a refreshing taste with a good balance of coffee acidity and bitterness, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. After taking a sip, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Delicious!" The owner of Woodnote deeply loves nature and is passionate about environmental issues, but when attending to customers, he adjusts his service to match their mood, offering delicious drinks, meals, soothing Irish music, and engaging conversations. He is a charming gentleman with a warm and caring personality.

From beverages like matcha and soba tea to foods like traditional Japanese sweets, toast, sandwiches, and pilaf, only natural ingredients are used. That's why even though it's a cafe, they don't offer cola. Many places that pride themselves on being cafes with a focus on quality in their dishes surprisingly don't pay much attention to mayonnaise, sauces, or dressings. Here, not only the bread but also the sauces and mayonnaise used in their toast and sandwiches show attention to detail, using only natural ingredients. As a result, the aftertaste after the meal is very pleasant.
