犬養ごっこ
It is more suitable for a patisserie shop than a café in the literal sense of the word. I made a reservation and was seated on the terrace, which was full, but today it was relatively warm around noon, and the outside setting and atmosphere were truly beautiful, with birds flying around with golden wings and bellies visible. I ordered three kinds of macarons - strawberry and sansho pepper, chocolate, and caramel cream - and they were all delicious. I would rate them a 4+ out of 5, but there were a few drawbacks. There were no communication facilities on the terrace, so it was not easy to call the service staff. The waiters and waitresses were polite, but it felt like they were understaffed, as we had to wait for the menu to be brought twice and for the dessert samples we ordered. Sometimes there were amateur mistakes, like when I decided to leave without asking for a tea refill, but a new pot with fresh tea leaves was brought to me, making me feel guilty for not staying longer. If they had explained the tea refill process beforehand or asked if I needed a refill, it would have been a more pleasant experience. I ordered chai, but they initially forgot the sugar, and the tea wasn't strong enough to complement the milk. The value for money has been pointed out in other reviews, but compared to Pierre Hermé in other countries, I think the value for money is actually quite good. In Japan, there are many tea houses where you can get better value for tea and desserts, and you can buy interesting and half-priced pastries in patisseries, so there is no need to come here specifically. However, the unique environment, impeccable service inside the shop, classic taste unique to Pierre Hermé, and the skillful macarons are worth mentioning.
