There was a nice atmosphere at a restaurant near Terada Station. They had a wide selection of shochu and sake brands. The food was delicious. However, the prices were a bit high, so the cost performance may not be the best. It was around 5000 yen per person. The interior was too stylish, and it was hard to read the menu haha.

This is a shop located within walking distance from my home, so I decided to walk back after giving it my all. It's great to see a shop in such a rural area with such a wide variety of alcohol. I wanted to take photos of all the menu items, but I got too caught up in drinking and couldn't finish. There are still plenty of cocktails and other menu items to try. The atmosphere inside the shop is dimly lit and calm. In addition to the long counter, there are tables that are all enclosed, creating a great atmosphere to enjoy drinks and food. Unlike the cramped spaces in the city, this shop offers a luxurious and spacious environment. My go-to dishes are the oden (highly recommended), seasonal sashimi, and homemade pizza. Each dish is served at the perfect interval, allowing you to enjoy freshly made food with your drinks. I was able to enjoy luxury at a reasonable price with the drinks, food, and atmosphere. The floor staff and the owner were very polite and I had a great time catching up with a local senior I hadn't seen in a while.

I went out for a drink at a local izakaya, which was recommended to me by a colleague. I tried Kirin's Heartland beer and a variety of oden. The daikon radish was especially delicious, and topping it with finely chopped green onions was a nice touch. I chose the "Chef's Choice Pizza" with seafood toppings, which had a crispy crust and plenty of toppings. I also had chicken wings with tartar sauce and split roasted shochu. For a finish, I had cold udon noodles. The dishes were all carefully prepared and very tasty. It's nice to know that there are great restaurants like this even without going to the city.

This shop is highly recommended, with surprisingly high quality food and reasonable prices. They are open until 3am, which is great! When I visited the shop, I noticed that they pay attention to details, even in small things like chopstick rests and plates. They offer a set where you can enjoy three types of shochu for around 1,000 yen, and they have a wide variety of sake including flavors like mandarin orange, yuzu, and peach. But personally, I highly recommend trying their white rice - it's really delicious! Give it a try!

I have been visiting this place since it opened because I love shochu. It's right in front of Kintetsu Terada Station, so it's easy to get there by train, which is great for drinkers. The clientele is mostly male, but the calm and stylish atmosphere makes it easy for women to visit as well. The seating is well thought out, with each table separated by a wall, creating a semi-private feeling. Even when people start getting loud while drinking, it feels calm here and you can enjoy your drink without worrying about others. The counter seats are also spaced out well, so you don't feel crowded even if someone is sitting next to you. When you walk in, you'll see shelves filled with shochu bottles. The menu also shows the wide variety of shochu available. If you're a shochu beginner and don't know what to order, just tell the bartender your preferences and they'll serve you a perfect match. The prices are very reasonable, and I think you'd pay more for the same drink elsewhere in town. The menu used to consist of just a few dishes and drinks, but it has gradually expanded to offer hearty meals, making it more like a shochu bar where you can eat well. So, it's great for a second stop after dinner or as a first stop when you're hungry. I recommend going early when there are fewer customers and it's more relaxing. Since they're open until late at night, it tends to get busier with second round customers later in the evening. One of the menu items that has been there since the beginning is the oden, which is just as delicious as any other restaurant's. It's so good that I almost think they could compete with just oden alone. For women, I recommend trying the whimsical parfait. Don't underestimate the shochu bar's parfait. I actually think it's tastier than the parfaits you get at regular cafes. Laughing while eating a cold parfait and sipping on shochu is quite a delightful experience.
