Headed to the restaurant "Chikuzen" right next to the railroad crossing near JR Momoyama Station. The parking lot can fit about 5 cars along the side of the restaurant, but be cautious when entering as it is right next to the railroad crossing. Upon looking at the menu displayed in front of the restaurant, it seemed a bit pricey, but I decided to visit as I had been curious about this place for a while. Inside the restaurant, the layout was intricate with about 8 tables and one raised seating area, able to accommodate around 40-50 people. There was a lady serving customers and someone in the kitchen preparing dishes. I decided to order the most affordable option, the "Tamago-don and Mini Udon" set for ¥800, and waited quietly in the calm atmosphere of the restaurant. There were no other customers present, but the phone kept ringing for takeout orders, indicating that the restaurant is popular among locals. After about 10 minutes, the Tamago-don was served first, followed by a side dish called "Nimono," and a bit later, the Mini Udon was brought to the table. The Tamago-don had a nice flavor with the broth permeating through the dish, but it was just average in taste. The combination of onions and solidified egg mixed well, with a hint of sansho pepper flavor. The side dish "Nimono" included pumpkin, dried tofu, okra, etc., was also decent, although I found it somewhat strange that it was served as a complimentary dish. The Mini Udon had a soy sauce-based flavor with bean sprouts and tempura bits, and the noodles were decent, but I felt that it lacked a bit in presentation. Overall, the cost-performance ratio was slightly low, the service and atmosphere were average, and the unexpected complimentary dish may have added a slight positive note. With a parking lot available, I would rate this restaurant 3.5 stars (68/100).
